You tell people one thing in order for them to buy your product and then once you get it in order to cancel it cost money and you say it doesn't and you don't get to use who you want to use because real dealers use OEM parts not manufactured or other parts
Windy, it does not cost anything to cancel our month-to-month policies. After further review, it looks like you canceled after your due date. All future payments have stopped but your coverage will remain active until 2/21/25. It is at the Repair Facility's discretion whether or not they choose to work with us, we will work with any ASE Certified repair facilities. We do send out the contract at the time of sale and address on the sales call that at the Administrator's election, repair or replacement of covered parts will be made with parts of like kind and quality, including but not limited to new, used or remanufactured. Well, finding something leaking in my driveway had me take my car immediately to the dealership. That same day, Car Shield called me to say that they spoke with my service advisor and that they OK'd the parts I needed, and that I had a $100.00 deductible. Then they offered me to get a rental car! I told them I could use my husbands car. However, it was great that they offered since I hadn't ev en thought that far!

I went out to start my car after a few days of 10 degree and below weather. The week before it was also that cold but the car started right up. The mechanic I called said I probably needed a new starter. I called CarShield for the first time. They sent a tow truck. The driver charged the battery for a few minutes and then started the car up. I drove it to get a new battery and the car's been great since then.

I seem to be wasting my money on my extended warranty. I filed my first claim this week after paying premiums for over a year. The repair facility indicated that CarShield was asking as many questions as they could to find a reason to deny the claim. Finally when they got to "Corrosion" of the part; they deemed it was enough to deny. This was a part normally covered but since there was corrosion on a part on the underside of a vehicle driven in the northern states in the winter.

After contacting CarShields everything went smoothly until I was told to press 1 for English, that's when everything went south. What should have taken 5 minutes took about a half hour because the person on the other end of my call couldn't speak English. That was very frustrating. I remained calm and we made it through. Why do you ask to press 1 for English when you don't get a person who speaks English.
