After providing ALL required service & routine maintenance receipts & nearly 2 months of waiting while truck was at dealership service department. Carsheild took their time to disect their literature to find a loophole in order to deny a claim they had originally approved

SAY NO TO CARSHEILD!

Keep everything with this company, they drag there feet and don't pay for a rental car even though it's their fault what your car isn't getting fixed. Then they look for any reason so don't have to fix your vehicle knowing you pay them month.

Had automatic payments of $137 taken out of my check monthly. Drove my car to a license mechanic for a diagnostic test. I had a cylinder I misfire. I Filed for a claim. Car shield needed photos to see what kind of damages I had. The machanic shop said they need my authorization to tear down my motor for pictures that car shield needed. I had to pay $600 UPFRONT! Long story short may claim was DENIED just by looking at pictures. I spent over $300 on Uber while my vehicle was waiting on car shield approval I was suppose to receive reimbursement for rideshare that was denied and to TOP IT OFF MY CAR NO LONGER RUNS BECAUSE I HAVE NO DAMN MOTOR! CALLED TOW TRUCK COMPANY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER SENT TEXT MESSAGES OUT WITH Confirmation AND I WAITED FROM 9:42PM UNTIL 12:08am UNTIL TINKS TOWING SERVICE FINALLY ARRIVED. CAR SHIELD IS A RIPP OFF FAKE ADVERTISING AND RUDE WORKERS. IM CURRENTLY GETTING A LAWYER MY ENGINE IS ON THE BACKSEAT INSIDE OF MY CAR

I signed up for coverage last Oct. 2021, paid a total over $1400 in monthly insurance thus far; today my car broke down, need a new cooling fan which is part of the cooling system, but you guess right, NOT COVER.
PLEASE don't waste your money, BIG RIPP OFF!

Carshield is nothing but false advertisements and a scam. I have a newer car with low mileage and they still found a way to deny my claim. They make extra coverage sound good, but if you ever have to use them there are lots of loops they will have you jump through and stipulations they will use to make sure they don't help you with a dime. Do not let thus company rip you off. Also Vivica Fox and Ice T should be ashamed they are helping this place take advantage of people. Shame on all of you

All your carshield payments go towards tv ads and phone harassment and to pay high dollar stars to lie

Do not buy this insurance - this is a ripoff. They found an excuse to turn down a repair. Just find a mechanic and pay for the repair yourself.

Please don't waste your time and money with this company. All there going to do is take your money without actually fixing anything. Took my car in for a steering situation and they covered everything except the actual problem. Basically didn't fix anything but still had to pay out of pocket. Will never use them again. Don't fall for it.

The motor went bad in my 2007 Nissan Versa. I took it to Nissan dealership and Car shield put off repair making Nissan tear motor all the way apart and and car shield then called me that it had a cracked block and had the nerve to say that the block was not part of the engine! Meanwhile all this time almost a year in and after having to produce immaculate oil change and other maintenance records also paying over 2000 out of pocket rental car expenses until finally I just bought another car. Car shield finally agreed to pay half on the new motor. By the time it was all done and totally exhausted from phone call after phone call about this it was fixed. But now a little I've a year since I am paying out another 2,000 thousand bucks because the repair was poorly done. It's in another Nissan dealership and they said the motor mounts Nola were installed wrong and many other bolts missing and that some other damage was caused by this Dealership whom did the work for car shield. Fed up and want a good attorney if anyone know one let me know. *******306 fed up with Car shield they are making millions and don't live up to there commercial!

I called my dealership repair shop and asked the mechanic about warranty plans and he said, "Just stay away from Car Shield!"

Car Shield is not a company that has your best interest in mind. They say if your car breaks down they will fix certain items BUT when this does happen it's immediately a denial of your claim. They say that it was previously damaged and not covered. All I have to say is your car is starting to deter as soon as you drive off the dealer lot. So in essence "yes" it was breaking down when I got the "insurance" policy from them but I was driving the car and nothing seemed wrong. When I disputed their claim denial they made me get all of the paperwork for repairs that I had done in the past year and send them into the office. I had no repairs in the past year except for oil changes and such since the car was running fine. That was a problem to them and they made me keep paying the $109.00 monthly premium while all of this was going on back and forth. I couldn't stop paying because then they would've said I wasn't covered anymore. A catch 22 and a MAJOR SCAM. Read all reviews before purchasing. If I had I would NOT have bought this insurance.

They are a scam! You do not get what they advertise. They take your money then refuse to fix your car, or only pay a small part of it, but mostly don't pay for it. They advertise a rental car, forget that! And that is after your car sits in the shop 2 weeks with them not even calling the repair place! Stay away!

They denied my claim at my mechanic. Don't used them. Please they are a scam. They took my money for months

I took out a policy on my son's car. The mechanic found that the Ball Joint, Control arm assembly was worn and wouldn't pass the car for NY inspection. I filed a claim. They required the mechanic to document the issue and send pictures. The adjuster rejected the claim, he said the part has to "fail" before they will cover the repair. I asked if the part needs to fail and my son get in a serious accident before you will pay for the repair?

This company is a SCAM. Don't use them

I tried to cancel and they took me through hell and would not listen. It was cancelled but they are awful! They try their hardest not to cancel when your telling them you no longer want to be with them. Please dont do it just get regular car insurance and you will be fine.

Car Shield/American Auto Shield misrepresented the coverage sold to me.
On May 16,2022, CS told me they don't cover convertibles which I clearly stated I had from initial coverage & VIN # submitted. The roof is operated by the POWER WINDOW MOTOR which IS covered under my GOLD policy. Rear windows won't go up & is effecting use of the roof.

They ALSO cannot provide me with a repair facility that accepts Car Shield. I also can't locate a repair facility that accepts Car Chield. They also won't reimburse for any out of pocket repair expenses I may make to repair at a garage where I'd pay upfront.
I've paid $1,800 over 18 months with zero claims, just to be told my car is not covered. (My auto insurance policy costs less.)

I requested reimbursement for my past payments, but have not received a call back from a "supervisor".
This policy is worth pennies on the dollar, as they have more EXCLUSIONS than covered repairs.
Besides calling service stations, I've had to call Car Shield & American Auto 6x already. This policy was sold to me in error.

My contract reads: "#17. IF IT IS DISCOVERED THAT A CONTRACT IS ERRANTLY SOLD TO YOU ON AN INELIGIBLE VEHICLE, THEN A FULL REFUND OF THE COST OF THE CONTRACT SHALL BE MADE TO YOU;

Contract DOES NOT STATE ANYWHERE that convertibles are not covered.

This company(s) practices Deceptive & misrepresentation in the selling of this CONTRACT to me.
Again, I request my premiums be reimbursed, ($1,800).

Can't provide me with a repair facility that accepts Car Shield.

I have a Mercedes... The dealership I take it to would not accept a Car Shield warranty. They said it is too hard to collect from them.! Do not buy this warranty

Don't but the warranty from this place. They need to be sued for false advertisement. They WONT fix your car and they will leave your with the bill... I will be going and calling the Better Business Bureau to complaint about this company we all together need to file a class action lawsuit against these people and put them out of business they are a scam
