Spend £190 on a rug, not received, over 30 emails/calls no refund and now being ignored. Disgusting where is Will Walsh the CEO in this! We are having to look at legal channels now very stressful and staff that tell you tfry will call you back and just don't. We should be compensated for all the time and effort we have put into trying to get our money back or just the item itself. Go to furniture village/ SCS/ Dunelm ANYWHERE but this company

We always use this company so where surprised how much its gone downhill with customer care we had a lounge carpet supplied and fitted in April this carpet is nothing like what we ordered it's a lot thicker and a two-tone colour the dereham manager came out the beginning of May and agreed its a thicker carpet now 8 weeks later and phone calls to them,e-mailing the complaints department we have got nowhere. The manager got in touch with head office who told him they only deal with certain manufacturers the stores have to deal with the rest so it looks like I have wasted 700 pounds on something I didn't order

My experience with CarpetRight is that they sell seconds, inferior and flawed carpets.
If you want to complain to manager of the store they block your phone number.

After a few weeks the carpet shrunk and came away from its grippers. Instead of apologising and refitting, Carpetright sent a surveyor who later confirmed that it was their fault. So weeks more and we had to move all the furniture again to get the carpet refitted.
A few years later and the same thing happened. This time as it was over 12 months there was no longer a warranty on the fitting. The carpet apparently only had a warranty of 5 years.
So, if you're thinking of buying a carpet from Carpetright ask them about the warranty on fitting and also the carpet. We expected our carpet to last longer than 5 years but Carpetright obviously didn't.

Even the Carpetright customer service rep said it wasn't cheap and expected a 10 year warranty!

Purchase of a new bed and mattress (over £1400. 00). Now suffering back pain, lack of sleep due to being unfit for purpose - too firm.
Told that we cannot exchange it (even though we are well within the'60 Night 'Comfort' Guarantee' period) as we did not purchase one of their mattress toppers - which we were not informed of by the store advisor.
We have two mattress toppers and a mattress protector from John Lewis on it so it is clean and well protected.
Five minutes in a store on a mattress is very different to spending hours on it every night.
We are spending a lot of time sleeping on the sofas.
Company very unwilling to help even though we are hugely out of pocket and suffering from pain and lack of sleep.
Staff clearly did not want to be there and had a complete lack of knowledge about the products they were supposed to be selling.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use Carpetright!

Brought a carpet on 6th October from their Sevenoaks Branch. I was told by the sales assistane that I should hear by the 11 th October when it would be fitted. On Wednesday I returned to the shop to ask about fitting and was told that it coluld be another week before I hearded from the fitters, I was told that the sales assistant had told other customers the same information I had received, I was told this by a young lady sitting at her desk eating what looked like chicken nuggetts and chips. On returning home I rung the customer service department which was of no help at all, so I rung back the store to cancell my order and was informed that she would have to ring another branch to see how she could me a refund, she rung back about a hour later and said the refund would be back in my account in 7/10 days, I also work with in a shop and can give a refund instantley. My advice would be not to use this company

Trusted Carpetright to supply and install on 30th October, they never turned up. They then came the next day and cut the carpet the wrong size for the room and stuck 2 bits together, they also couldn't fit around a door, lay grippers straight and supplied random damaged off cuts of underlay stapled together. They also caused a lot of damage to our house. When I questioned it, they shouted at me and my pregnant wife. Another fitting team was sent, but they just came took 2 photos and left. The manager came to visit, after 20 phone calls and emails, speaking with the head and deputy head of customer service. He said it wasn't acceptable and he'll resolve it. Another fitting team came, they couldn't cut around a door either. They also cut a carpet too small for a room. The carpet that needed replacing was out of stock for another 3 weeks so was told to reselect or wait. The fitter also told me it cannot be fitted in a straight line. After reselecting, they came to fit again and laid down 90% of the carpet well. Though can't fit stairs, and can't fit landings. Though they caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to cast iron radiators, TRV valves, wall hangings, aluminium window, front door, light fixtures and destroyed my newly painted walls and shirting boards. They also removed all the fire doors (breaching Carpetright T&Cs) and left. They wouldn't come back for a week to rehang the fire doors and to put them back on wanted me to sign a waiver that if they got damaged their not liable. Upon paying someone else to rehang them, we found the doors were already damaged. It's been over a month to fit 5 bedrooms and 2 sets of stairs. We still don't have all our carpet, yet I've had to pay in full, and pay the fitters in full. It's resulted in 6 fitting appointments (all taken off unpaid), thousands of pounds of damage to our property, Carpetright are not accepting any responsibility and say I have to take it up with their fitter's insurance companies (but won't provide their details). I've informed them sections of carpet are badly fitted and now they're just ignoring me. I've spoken with everyone at the store Wesley, Ayman, Ismael, Rebecca (Head of CS), Christine (Deputy Head), Charlene and Beverley from complaints team, and load more from customer services. They've forced a 9 year old, me and my pregnant wife to sleep on a mattress on the floor on the floorboards for weeks. No one actually cares, it's all lip service. You might have a good experience here like I did 2 years ago, or it could financially ruin your life for the next 6 months and cause a crippling amount of anxiety and stress for you to sort out

So I went into my local carpetright in Ashford Kent to ask about laminate flooring. I brought a sample with me and asked politely if they could source the same or similar. Clearly this was far too much trouble for the pitbull of a sales assistance who snarled at me and waved in the general direction of the laminate floor selection. Barely made eye contact, no chance of a smile, treated with utter disdain. Silly me for thinking I was the customer here. Turned around and left. Will find somewhere else to supply and fit 5 bedrooms, hallway, lounge and dining room. What an utter lemon.

Went in to local branch in Washington Tyne and Wear, to ask about carpet for my caravan and took in the old carpet, wondering if they could cut to size in the store as the caravan is in storage 30 miles to the South. He was very disdainful and unwilling to offer information about the best way to proceed. Saying simply 'You will need a carpet fitter to fit into the caravan or will could be liable. Can you bring the caravan here?'. (Well would I take my house there)? Where as I then went in to Frank's Carpets in Chester le Street, Tom not only helped me carry the old carpet from and back to my car, he immediately said that they have carpet fitters local to the caravan, and gave a reasonable overall price. I will be having a full house fitting soon. But will not go back to Carpetright.
