“Helping our Family”

pj f.
5/25/20

Jena Kloepfel has been above and beyond our expectations. We had no idea on how to help our parents live a well deserved last segment of their life. She started with helping us even know what mom and dad could afford. They are both in the same facility with different levels of care. Just knowing they are being in a safe place is more than we can imagine. She followed up with us to make sure all is good. Her heart is truly In her job. Thanks Jena

“Fake community resource”

G R.
2/5/24

My mother was admitted to the hospital (NY) a number of weeks ago. Her treatment team connected us to Rich Curry to help us begin exploring appropriate assisted living communities. I spoke to him and provided clear information of her resources and insurance. He went to meet her at the hospital and planned to contact us with the communities he thought would be a good fit. The hospital discharged her with the understanding that we were now connected to a community resource that could assist us. Well he never reached out again and did not respond to multiple outreach efforts. We are essentially alone trying to navigate all this. I informed the hospital staff and they were very disappointed Rich did not follow through. I really hope the hospital thinks twice before using his "services" in the future when discharge planning for vulnerable elders. I took some time to research Care Patrol and it appears it's a franchise that makes commission with communities they have contracts with. I can only assume my mother isn't their ideal money making client. He could have just said that rather than acting like he could help us and leading the hospital to believe their referral to him was a valid part of discharge planning. Very sad indeed. Do better McCarePatrol. See the screenshots… no answer.

My experience with visiting three care facilities in the Northland was very informative and interesting. Max knew my client well and had "done his homework" on what I wanted for my friend. He was a caring, thoughtful, person who really went out his way to help me locate a facility for my friend. He even had questions to ask that I had not thought of. I would highly recommend the Care Patrol of North Kansas City, it was outstanding!

Excellent customer service. Very helpful, has been to my facility multiple times with and without clients. Charles is someone who I have referred others to that were wrongly sent to me by APlaceForMom.

We worked with Max Shortell from CarePatrol to find my mom an assisted living facility for when she left the hospital. What a pleasure it was to work with him! He was totally dedicated to finding the place that fit her needs. I emailed him once at 9:30pm, so he'd get it in the morning, and five minutes later he responded to me! I will wholeheartedly refer anyone to him. Thank you Max and CarePatrol!

I am a Sales Director at Meadowview of Greeley and had the pleasure of working with Care Patrol twice this past month. Their advisors are extremely easy to get ahold of, friendly, and work hard to find the BEST fit for their clients. On my end, they made things a breeze for an easy transition for the residents that chose our residence. I really enjoyed working with them and would recommend them 100% to families.

We were so impressed by Care Patrol. If you have a loved one who needs a place to call home, call Care Patrol. Deana Barone was so helpful. My brother and I both live out of town and our father didn't want to leave his beloved Cincinnati Reds Baseball team or the city itself. Deana from Care Patrol was able to do most of the "leg work"for us before we even came to town. She was very thorough and found us many options to choose from. She was even able to set appointments up for us. I would recommend Care Patrol to anyone in need of finding the perfect fit for their loved one.

CarePatrol was recommended to me by a home health agency in Toledo, OH. The facility in which my father was placed represents the worst of the bad stereotypes that you hear about such places. When I reached out to this CarePatrol advisor after my father's multiple falls and the facility's blatant disregard of HIPAA regulations, she simply stopped responding to me. I even wrote a lengthy letter of complaint to the franchise headquarters about my experiences. The letter came back as UNDELIVERABLE. The email on the franchise website sends you to a webpage. I filled out the form on the website asking for contact information for headquarters and heard nothing (though the system confirmed receipt of my message). This company is unethical and turns a blind eye to elder abuse while profiting from it! Despicable!

I used them to help place me in a nursing home. The home they found me was just great. But then yesterday I took a call from the guy named kevin he told me he was coming to take pictures of me and other people at the place Ian at. I grabbed the owners because he scared me. They never got a bill from carepatrol but he was from billing. They told me they were sorry but that shouldn't of been up to the nursing home.

This was my first time trying to navigate the assisted living/memory care and I felt completely overwhelmed. Alisha Ritchie immediately put me at ease. Her knowledge of a very complicated system was so helpful. She thought of questions to ask the senior administrator at Terra Bella that I would have never thought to ask. We literally could not have gotten this far without Her. My advice to anyone trying to navigate Senior living would be wise to call her. I don't know that I have ever met someone that has the ability to connect with all age groups in such a professional and intelligent way.

Teresa found the perfect Adult Family Home for my client. I was very impressed by her compassion and dedication. After Margaret had been there for a couple of days, Teresa took the time to go to the home and check on her.
I am very grateful for this organization's dedication to our elders and others who need care.

Went with the recommendation of Care Patrol for my Mom and after 3 weeks she was covered in bruises. Talked to both the residence owner and the Care Patrol rep and was assured that this was not normal. I monitored for the next couple of days and the abuse continued and actually GOT WORSE. Care Patrol's only concern was their commission - I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. Their only concern is how much money they can make off of you or your loved one and not about the type of treatment or care your loved one will receive.

Myra Marshall, a CarePatrol Advisor in Anne Arundel County, assisted me with finding an assisted living facility for my dad for hospice care in January 2024. She was amazing! She did not stop looking until she found a place that felt like home for him so he would experience peace and comfort in his last days. I'm truly grateful to her when I couldn't take care of him myself she found place that showed him the love, respect, and the professional care he deserved. She is personable, patient, and professional. She shared a wealth of knowledge with me to help me maneuver the complex healthcare system. I would use her again and rate her exceptional. 5+ stars.

I cannot express my gratitude enough for the invaluable assistance provided by CarePatrol. My weeks-long struggle to find suitable assistive living for my mother-in-law left me feeling frustrated and hopeless. Local agencies offered little more than free food, leaving us at a loss.

Upon the recommendation of a friend, I reached out to CarePatrol, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Despite being outside their immediate service area, the representative I spoke with went above and beyond to offer guidance and support.

The individual I spoke with was not only compassionate but also incredibly informative. He provided a comprehensive list of tasks we needed to address, shedding light on aspects I hadn't considered, such as the importance of planning my mother-in-law's funeral to protect her life insurance from becoming a state asset. This insight alone was a game-changer and something I would never have known without their guidance.

While CarePatrol's services were limited due to our location, the generosity of their time and knowledge made a significant impact. I can't help but wish we had a CarePatrol in our local community. The assistance they provide is desperately needed, and their commitment to helping families navigate challenging situations is truly commendable.

If you're facing the daunting task of finding appropriate senior living solutions or navigating the complexities of eldercare, I wholeheartedly recommend reaching out to CarePatrol. Their dedication to assisting families in need is a beacon of hope and support in what can be an overwhelming and confusing journey.

I am a disabled veteran who was an inpatient at the VA hospital when I was introduced to Capital District care patrol. Furst these people have nom business working with the VA hospital. I needed a safe place to live and that is all I wanted. Care Patrol told me Diamond Ridge was excellent so I spent what little money I had to move in. First I was out over a 1000.00 when capital care patrol told me i would not need to pay rent at my current apartment. He was wrong and I got stuck paying over 1000 that I did not have and should not have had to pay if care patrol knew what it was doing. On top of that I was touched inappropriately by another male member, the bus for transport was unregister, uninspected and uninsured for over 8 months. The food which is supposed to be included in rent in inedible causing me to have another 600 a month food bill. There were full grown (2) pit bulls living in one of the apartments. This is an over 55 community with people in walker with pit bulls running around and they never go outside to do their business. I was loied to by care patrol and I had to leave that unlivable situation and am now in living in a hotel because care patrol destroys lives.

Care Patrol was recommended to me by my mother's rehab. My sister and I went on several tours of communities that would not accept my mother do to her behavior. It was an absolute waste of our time, we toured 4 communities fell in love OVER AND OVER again only to be told, SORRY we cannot take them. It was horrible. They need to do better jobs of screening their communities and if they can handle residents or not. Their commission is based on which community you move into, the higher price, the more they get paid. Unfortunate, just wanted to let everyone know.

I am sorry that this happened to you. You have to remember that a community's #1 goal is to get someone to tour them. That, unfortunately, means that on rare occasions they don't accept our clients. I am happy to hear how hard our Senior Care Advisor worked to try to get your mother into a community. Many communities have rules about what behaviors they can care for or not. It is a shame that your mother's behavioral difficulties made it so the community couldn't accept her. UNfortunately, we can not expect a community to care for someone whose behaviors could be harmful to themselves, staff or other senior residents and their guests. I hope you found an alternative setting for her. Chuck Bongiovanni - Founder

At first I thought it would be helpful but noooo--- they only bring you to homes they get paid from --- lies saying the assisted living places she took me to has experience with what my mom needs help with but they don't! Better to call and visit places yourself.

Frances Zelch was an excellent guide. She knows the facilities, their management, and their neighborhoods. She is friendly and upbeat, and you'll feel like you've known her for years. She's top notch and you will learn a lot and enjoy every minute of the search.

Care Patrol specifically Ron Braun was referred by a social worker at Amedisys. Both parents needed assisted living which I had been unsuccessful getting them to move from their home. The search for a place took 1.5 years. They signed contracts with a provider but refused to go. Ron visited with them then with me to provide the best options for them. He took them to visit his first choice option. It was a hit with them. He understood what they would need now and in the future. They agreed on the facility. Shortly after one of them fell and was hospitalized for three days. Ron visited and provided info to the assisted living company. He provided a nursing care company reference to assist until they could move into the facility.
An internet search will provide a lot of options for help in finding assisted living. I consulted many of them without discovering Care Patrol.
Care Patrol was the only company with a hands on approach and accurate evaluation of need to provide optimum recommendations.
If you have similar needs in the metropolitan KC area contact Care Patrol and Ron Braun.
If their other location staffs are available to you contact them. Perhaps they have people who meet the standards that Ron has.

I work in the Senior care industry and have recommended Heinz Kosser with Care Patrol several times. Each family I've referred to him have gotten back to me afterward with rave reviews about the help Heinz provided.
I heard back from a client today and thought I would share, "I can't thank you enough for connecting us with Heinz. He did a great job, and saved me so much legwork! My Dad is very happy with his new home."
