Care Patrol was recommended to me by my mother's rehab. My sister and I went on several tours of communities that would not accept my mother do to her behavior. It was an absolute waste of our time, we toured 4 communities fell in love OVER AND OVER again only to be told, SORRY we cannot take them. It was horrible. They need to do better jobs of screening their communities and if they can handle residents or not. Their commission is based on which community you move into, the higher price, the more they get paid. Unfortunate, just wanted to let everyone know.
I am sorry that this happened to you. You have to remember that a community's #1 goal is to get someone to tour them. That, unfortunately, means that on rare occasions they don't accept our clients. I am happy to hear how hard our Senior Care Advisor worked to try to get your mother into a community. Many communities have rules about what behaviors they can care for or not. It is a shame that your mother's behavioral difficulties made it so the community couldn't accept her. UNfortunately, we can not expect a community to care for someone whose behaviors could be harmful to themselves, staff or other senior residents and their guests. I hope you found an alternative setting for her. Chuck Bongiovanni - Founder
