I spent two hours with a CS person trying to hook my camera up wirelessly. Didn't work. Ordered cable wrong cable. Paid extra money to get it overnight. Now they want me to pay return shipping which is what the product cost. Pathetic! Don't buy Canon or you will regret it!

Tip for consumers:
That you cannot trust there website for accessories. I match my Canon camera to the IFC cable that was supposedly made for my camera but it didn't fit and I am out $12.99 for the cable plus 17.99 for overnight delivery which took 3 days. I can't return it because it will cost as much in shipping as the part cost itself!

Canon OES Rebel SL3 and their IFC-400PCU Interface Cable

I bought a sublimation printer or purchased one on 11/23 of this year. When I purchased the sublimation printer it said that it was in stock. After 2 weeks of waiting and no merchandise I called customer service. When I called the message says that the product was on backwater. A call back the next week it says it was processing. I called an waited 50 minutes to talk to a representative that had no idea of what he is doing. I was then placed on hold again for another 50 minutes. I am beyond furious. They are a bunch of crooks.

Shopping for a camera - This site is quite useful if you are looking for a digital camera.
Canon gives you the pros and cons of each camera they make.
I most definitely love the Canon and found this site to be helpful in deciding which one to purchase.

I purchased a TR4720 printer on October 16,2023, through Amazon.com (see attached receipt) and attempted to install it. It didn't work. The printer is perfectly functional and the issue is the "forever problem" of installing it on a Windows computer - that is why I bought it: Epson doesn't work with Windows 10 anymore. I tried to get support: Canon SELLS customer support, which is illegal and outrageous, but I bought it. I just complain as a last resort, given that big corporations are by definition dishonest and exploitative. Canon refused to send me the code, and refuses to provide support for their product. I am not *asking* for support: I am demanding it.

Tip for consumers:
Yes, that I find it almost fascinating how big companies get a free pass on breaking the law because there is no longer a proper legal system to hold them accountable. Basically, we are having to pay for the "privilege" of complaining about a right, and still not getting it. It's useful to remember that a functional legal system is a eliminatory criterium for a democracy. Companies like Canon, and especially Microsoft, fund the dismantling of US democracy, which is already complete. Congrats.

Canon has the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I made a return a week ago, tracking confirms delivery, but have not had ANY updates nor has my refund processed. Tried their "live chat" which was a waste of time. 30 minutes on hold while in queue position 1 to be told they can't do anything over chat and to call. Called in at 11am on the dot when their "support" line open and was on hold for 52 freaking minutes before they picked up, only to be told they don't have any information on my return and it can take over 2 weeks to process
I have never experienced customer service this $#*!ty from any company EVER before. Canon seriously needs to hire more operators if you're consistently experienceing such ridiculous wait times from "call volume" and the fact we cant process things easily online is just shameful

Tip for consumers:
Don't. Go to Nikon instead, they'll treat you much better

I never received an expensive item I ordered from Canon. I had waited at home for the fed Ex delivery. Nobody rang the doorbell or knocked. I received a text that it had been delivered 8 minutes before. I immediately checked my porch, but there was no sign of it. Apparently, if a shipment is under $500, you have to request that the shipper require a signature. Mine was just under $500. I immediately called Fed Ex to tell them I didn't receive the package. They told me that they would start an investigation. I also notified Canon that I had not received my shipment. Canon told me they would open an investigation as well. I was told someone would follow up with me right away. Nobody ever called. I called both Fed Ex and Canon numerous times. I emailed both. No response. Finally, Fed Ex left me a message telling me they had completed their investigation and I should ask the shipper to treat it as a missing package. I called Canon again. They were unhelpful, but promised a call back. I chatted with Canon's customer service and they told me to use a legal advice app. I finally got a message from Canon's customer care manager saying that the case had been denied and closed. No further action would be made going forward. I have been unable to get a call back from this person. BEWARE photographers! Install security cameras, request signature requirement, and never buy from Canon. I never received equipment that I needed and am out $500. Canon will not help you or take responsibility if anything goes wrong. I have never had problems with B&H Photo. I will never order from Canon again.

Tip for consumers:
Require a signature at shipment. Their customer service is horrible.

There are not many websites and companies with poor websites (and service). Canon simply sucks! For over a week trying to get simple firmware update and it was close to impossible to find a link. When i found a link... nothing works, there is no way to download a firmware. To contact canon is impossible. Regretting switching to canon!

Do NOT bother paying for expedited shipping! I needed my product within 48 hours - and paid for that service. It came five days later. And I'd been trying to call for 2 days - nothing but 45-minute hold-times. The first person apparently didn't know how phones work and, instead of picking up my call (after an HOUR), hung up instead of saying 'Hello'. After 2 hours today I finally got someone who said, in her opinion, the delivery was "on time"! But if I wouldn't mind holding for another 25 minutes, she would put in a "request" to refund my extra shipping charges. I honestly wish I had just driven into town and bought a new device from Office Depot - or had one delivered from Staples - they really DO deliver within 24 hours! The time I wasted trying to track etc = $750 lost in billable hours.

Tip for consumers:
Do NOT give Canon $$$ for expedited shipping. I NEEDED this device by Tuesday pm / Weds am at the latest. Arrived at 5 pm on Thursday. And I spent 5+ hours on hold over three days trying to sort out. The rep at Canon acted like she was doing me a huge favor by "requesting" that the money I paid for expedited delivery be refunded. Umm that doesn't help - I needed the PRODUCT ON TIME. Soooo STUPID.

Last 5 Years I bought Canon cameras. Today March 20,2023, I needed some brief advice on transferring photos from my sx70 HS. It might have taken 3 minutes.
Canon of USA wanted to charge me $14.35!
I called the place I bought the cameras from, a large well-known business in New York city. He answered my question and a second question I had in less than 8 minutes. No charge.

I bought a Sony 50 power camera 8 years ago. They STILL give me free advice whenever I call. Last month I talked to a man from the Philippines. He spent 25 minutes with me.

People buy today based on customer service. Prices are pretty much the same wherever you buy. I buy from Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy Etc They're great with customer service and they don't charge you a penny.
One Canon customer service rep felt sorry for me and put me on hold to check with a colleague on whether my sx70 comes with an external mic I can fit on it. She said they don't offer one and there is not one.
10 minutes later I found a external mic just for an sx70 for $24 Plus shipping. They don't even know their own products! And want to charge you for It!

They're telling me they don't want my business anymore? So they won't have it. And I'm not one that likes to give negative reviews on anything. If I can't be to give a positive one I usually don't give one at all, but this is an American company competing with all kinds of companies and this is how they treat customers who spent a lot of money at their company! I can see why they have one of the lowest company ratings I've ever seen one and a half stars!

I went through all website's screens (including annoyingly blurry "Verify" demands) to get to the correct place for obtaining service under my carePAK Plus contract on my PIXMA TS9521C printer/scanner. Nothing presented itself on the page except "Chat." When the "Chatter" finally responds, it is the Camera Chat, in spite of my accessing it from the printer page. I was told I'd be connected with the right department, but there was no response and I gave up. Tried again from scratch. When there was a response, the chat box is out of alignment on the page, making the questions and my responses not in sync.
I did try the phone. I have a hearing impairment that makes rapid speech difficult to understand, and the machine voice that responded was VERY RAPID! I was asked a lot of questions that could have easily been answered in writing without the accompanying exasperation of trying to communicate with a robot.
All I wanted was a functioning power cord for my printer. After about an hour with the right chat, I guess one will be shipped.
I have purchased at least six Canon printers over the years, but this is probably the last one.

Tip for consumers:
Options for obtaining service from Canon are limited to phone or chat, which have proven in my case to hugely unsatisfactory.

Products used:
Replacement cable for printer under warranty. Has not been received yet, but I assume it will be okay.
