Which store has greeters who ask you what they can help you find? Which store has helpful staff throughout the store to assist you? Which store pays for your parking? Which store does not sell guns? Which store does not make you prove that you haven't stolen the item before you leave the store?

Why I will not shop there? Very poor customer service. Easy to read apologies. Never to deliver on commitments. No wonder you cannot contact by e-mail!

Ordered winter tires online on 2024/01/17. I was aware of my car's tire size but the Canadian Tire online store doesn't provide you with any tire size and asks for your car's make and model instead. As shown in the screenshots, the system confirms this product is fit to your car in several stages during the shopping process. The platform also redirects you to book an appointment for the installation and I made it as well for 2024/01/17 at 12:30 PM, Vancouver, Grandview & Boundary, BC automotive department.
On the appointed day, I drove to the certain Canadian Tire location and after two hours of waiting they told me that the tires were not compatible with your car! Nobody inspected this matter at least avoiding to tire uninstall/reinstall! The technician who called me to inform me about this incompatibility had no clue about the online procedure. Moreover, when I got back home I noticed that they forgot to put the tire lock key back in the car! Regardless of wasting almost a week and two times driving to the Canadian Tire location and back which ruined my weekend, I even can't trust my existing tires anymore due to their unprofessionalism and mismanagement.

On July 23,2023, I went to Canadian Tire on No.3 road, Richmond, BC. I had a broken alternator belt, and hence the alternator wasn't generating power to the battery.
They couldn't fix the car that day but booked an appointment for next day. I asked if I can park the car there for the next day appointment. They said NO. These guys made me drive the car home with a broken alternator. The car stopped running as I drove home. Had to tow it back home. I called the service manager, John, and he said he is not responsible for towing. Had I been allowed to park the car at their facility I would have not been endangered with my vehicle stopping in the middle of the street. John didn't seem to care.
I was very stressed and dissappointed with the level of service at Canadian Tire. They have lost me as a customer for ever! I will not recommend this company to anyone. They just dont care.

Several times, I have noticed that if my review was positive, they would allow it.

BUT, in the case where I bought a product that was not very good and that I mention it in a review, they always send me a message saying: your review has been moderated and cannot be posted. I found this very strange, as my reviews are always very polite, no errors in my writing... nothing wrong at all with them I guarantee it. So overall, this company is not being honest at all... they filter the reviews to keep the good ones and try to block as many negative review as possible.

Also, they will never tell you why they rejected your review (it makes sense: there is no reason for rejecting!). You cannot ask them either: their email is a "no-reply" email, which says it all about how much they care about their customers.

I am glad I was able to use this site to express my concerns about this company. I lost all trust in Canadian Tire, based on several bad experience with their dishonest review system.

Hope this helps,
Francis

Bought yardwork hose from Canadian Tire store one year ago, exploded at night to run the water for a whole day. The worst is to deal the Canadian Tire store service twice to exchange the hose based on two years warranty of the hose, the Canadian Tire store service refused to exchange the hose due to different excuse every time. Never return to Canadian Tire store to buy anything from now on.

The canadian tire app had so many technical issues sometimes an order does not process but each time you try to submit it place a hold each time òn your credit card for an order that does not exist...çalls result in excuses and even opinions from staff that such actions do not violate consumer protection legislation...who would have ever guess that legal experts are employee by Canadian Tire customer service! Most often you dont have the product orderèd so holds for fictious orders seems on par with the already terrible comsumer experience

Most of product reviews are related to promotions so they cannot be trusted,
Site is heavily restricting genuine reviews, I could not post an informative review because of such ridiculous censorship

I've been shopping at Canadian Tire for well over 40 years, they used to be stores your could trust, it is no longer the case, they no longer care about customers, they keep selling products that have bad reviews for years and keep ripping off customers, I've been ripped off 3 times in the last 2 years. The last time, I bought a pair of what I thought were decent walking shoes and payed 90$ for them, I went through the soles in just a few months, there's tons of bad reviews for those shoes now yet CT keeps selling them. Naturally, you can't return shoes after you wear them for a few months. Those have very thin ''rubber' soles filled with very cheap foam inside, you end up going through the sole in no time, the shoes look almost bran new on the top and soles are gone. The only good reviews of those are from people that use them to do work in their yard, but if you walk anywhere on hard surfaces, they become garbage in no time. I've had similar problems with other products I bought there. I will no longer shop there, I boycott them now and tell everybody why. It's a disgrace, Yeah yeah, shop local... Keep your garbage CT.

I noticed recently that Canadian Tire does not hire Retired people
Unlike Home Depot
Walmart
Costco
Rona
Lowes and many other Major Retailers
It's appears Canada Tire has an unspoken police to NOT hire Retirees or seniors
Next time your in a Canadian Tire store just look around
I noticed a while ago and now every time I go there can't miss it no Seniors or retired people working there unlike the other Major Retailers who hire retired people Canadian Tire seems not to
Just an observation and got me wondering why they have this policy or hiring decision just curious if anyone else notices this

Definitely one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. I had absolutely disgusting experience and continue to. I have written a review already about my issues with the Canadian Tire store. Now I am writing about corporate office. My issue with store was a month ago. Spoke to many people in customer service. They were great. Apologies were made, however the person I should be speaking to will not return calls or emails. The manager of auto complaints. I am so disgusted with everyone now at this company. Know one actually does their job. They will leave message on your review showing apologetic and a phone number but that is has far has it goes. Really, a month and not one person gas called back. I have left approximately 15 messages on the managers phone, and now I am starting to call everyday to annoy him. Still no response. I suggest never shop at Canadian Tire or of course never take your vehicle in for repairs. This company does not follow their company governance. Looks great when you read everything about the company, what they want you to perceive. When it comes down to it like many corporate companies. They just want your money and ignore you. Well I am not that person. I will not let this slide. I almost died on the day of question due to Canadian Tire and I will not allow them to put me on the back burner. DO NOT GO TO CANADIAN TIRE

DO NOT PURCHASE THE RED, WOODEN SEASONAL CHAIRS. Complete junk for a chair at a hefty price of $199 a chair. The paint has chipped off and the wood is rotting. Haven't even had the chairs 10 months. Took the receipt into the store and they refuse to do anything. Contacted customer service and nothing.

I'm a single mom and work hard for my money I brought my truck in to canadiantire garage in Sault Ste. Marie on
It had a noise the first set of diagnostics wasn't enough so they did the second type said it was my flex plate
2800. 00 later after all the work they did I pick up my truck still has the noise
Went to talk to them turns out they changed my flex plate which they were wrong it wasn't broken it wasn't the source of the noise
Manager was so rude to me refused to reimburse some of the labor costs even for a job that didn't need to be done
And one month later my engine blew up
Brought it to Prouse they were amazing

If you depend on a decent wheelchair or electric cart to be provided by the Canadian Tire store - forget it! Walmart, Safeway, Extrafoods seem to have no problem providing this service.

I just find out, all the Canadian Tire are individually, independently owned by other individual people, same like Home Hardware, Dollarama, Bargain Store, etc., No wander the customer service always bad and people are not knowledgeable, I have had many insulting service from these people, I will try hard not to spend money on my local Canadian Tire for sure.
