Many reviews highlight issues with product quality and the perceived lack of accountability from the company, particularly regarding warranty claims and post-purchase service. While a few customers noted positive interactions with individual staff members, these instances are overshadowed by widespread dissatisfaction with sales tactics and unresolved complaints. I bought a class A motor home at the Garner, NC store a few years ago. I have a lot of the same complaints others have with weeks to even look at your unit even when you have a reservation then parts take forever to get.
The sales force is friendly and very happy to take you money, but once the sale is over good luck with service.
What really gets to me on a deep down person level is that no one at the store even acknowledges you existence. I have yet after many years had the lady at the front door to seven say hello how are you doing!
Employees that appear to care about you are worth their weight in gold.
This has to be a systemic problem because you have to be trained to be so rude and impersonal.
Why buy where you are not appreciated... Their business model is sorely lacking so take you wallet and shop somewhere else.

We had a choice of a lot of RV places to choose from and I started checking places online. The salesman Zack Lee contacted me within a few minutes. He asked what I was looking for and showed me 3 Rv's immediately. We corresponded through text messages until my husband and I were able to go see the campers in person. Zack was so helpful, explained things thoroughly, had so much patience allowing us to go from RV to RV comparing things we liked about the various campers. I got sick with the flu, then walking pneumonia and he sent texts almost everyday checking on me to see how I felt. Once we were able to get back over to the store he showed us back around as campers had come and gone. He worked with us every step of the way until we finalized our purchase today. He showed us how EVERYTHING worked in each camper. There is no way that any other salesman could have been any more attentive or knowledgeable than Zack. I will say everyone at Camping World was nice and friendly and always offering to help. While Zack showed us each camper he explained what things were, where things were, how various things worked, what came with the campers and what didn't come with them. We enjoyed our buying experience at Camping World because of Zack Lee.

My direct experience lies between 2 dealers, Wentzville/St Louis, MO, and Katy, Texas. Too many negative details but the common theme is... once the sale has been made, service ends. There's a lack of listening, followup communication, and knowledge of warranties on the brands they sell. Furthermore, my experience is supported by our travels around the country by the vast number of negative comments that all seem to echo the same thing... I don't care!
I am happy to discuss at length, the list if scribed on this site would take several pages.
Camping World has a problem!

BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I give them 1 star because 0 is not a choice. We live in Cleveland and found the Winnebago that we liked at Camping World Grand Rapids, we negotiated by phone, came to an agreement on price/financing/payment, gave a deposit, then drove 5 HOURS FROM CLEVELAND to GRAND RAPIDS stayed overnight, saw the unit AND DROVE 5 HOURS BACK TO CLEVELAND. After we gave the deposit, we couldn't get ANYONE TO CALL US BACK or ANSWER OUR QUESTIONS. Seems like once they get the deposit, YOU GET SLOW BOATED TO THE END. 4 days later they called us and said that our payment would be $100 per month higher and gave no explanation as to why. All the financial information we provided was accurate. We wasted 2 days of travel, paid for a hotel and nothing. Why in the world would they knowingly let us drive from Cleveland to Grand Rapids if they could not deliver on their deal? Camping World Grand Rapids is the worst, they'll take your money and that's when the communication stops. Buy ANYWHERE ELSE.

I have a Class C with a propane Hot Water Heater. I wanted the Hott Rodd electric conversion kit installed. They advertised 59.00 as installation for anything they sell. I gave them the model number and they wrote up the deal. Yes they could install it and an appt was made. I was called on installation day and told it would be 400+ plus as the water heater did not have electricity. No KIDDING! That is why I was adding the electric conversion kit, the water heater was only propane. They refused to install it at the agreed price. This was fraud at its best! This is Camping World in IH35 New Braunfels, TX

Stay away. Do not waste your time. I bought a scooter for my handicap mom and they knew very well that the scooter was not safe for a handicap person. It was in fact a recreational scooter. Within 24 hours, I notified them of this and they would not take it back saying it was on sale and they do not take back sale items. I spoke with their store manager, Travis, in their Hanover, PA. Their prices also are not competitive.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE OF ANY COMPANY EVER! Not enough space here to even begin describe the multitude of problems with this company. They will lie, lie and lie some more, that is if you can ever get someone to return a call. At every attempt to work with them another lie was told to cover up the last from sales to service. If you need a camper or service save yourself a lot of trouble and go absolutely anywhere else.

I PURCHASED A KEYSTONE LARADO 5TH WHEEL IN OCT 2017 AND IT NEEDED A
FACET IN THE KITCHEN WHEN IT WAS NEW. IT TOOK 3 WEEKS FOR CAMPING WORLD TO REPLACE IT. ON JANUARY 2TH OF 2019 THE 5TH WHEEL WAS TAKEN BACK TO CAMPING WORLD BECAUSE OF A WINDOW LEAK AND THE SERVICE DEPT SAID THEY WOULD EVALUATE THE PROBLEM AND GET BACK WITH ME IN A
COUPLE OF DAYS. TWO WEEKS LATER THEY HADN'T EVEN INSPECTED THE UNIT.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE DEPT TO ANYONE!

Great service, no judgement sales. Each client is treated with full potential purchasing power. Signs designating changing entrance is crucial. Before Shelly my family members recommended to go to las cruces where service is a must.

Terrible
December 28, 2018

I had wi fi extender and cell phone booster installed in burlington washington, i paid for a demo on how to program. I paid ovef 1200 for these products. When i went to pick up, sales guy said they dont have anyone there that knows how to set up. Why should they even be allowed to sell the product. If i was manufacturer, i would pull it from there shelves, gives the companys a bad name. Noe i have a product that i cant even use.

We were pressured into buying a warranty and ever since, they have made it impossible to use it. Won't call us back. Gives us the runaround. They are horrible. They owe us for a very expensive warranty they had no intention of ever honoring.

Camping World is a farce. Jacks now being held up with bailing wire. They kept coming down when traveling. Wood rottinand falling out of back end. Slides dry as a bone. Rear view mirror cracked. The place filthy which they said they would clean. Ha not sure they know the meaning of the word clean. Oh did I forget to mention a tire on right passenger side feveryone tells me was a recap (illegal) it started coming apart while traveling. I could go on and on. Not willing to die in this thing or get seriously injured. Oh no help in Arkansss. CW gives too much money and laws are on their side.

BEWARE
October 28, 2018

Both of us are disabled Purchased online they sent pictures of everything but what they did not want me to see, was told it was a very nice camper, and that everything was going to be checked out and in good working condition, paid full blown retail price for this camper I thought it would be in top condition when delivered, not the case when delivered the pig tail rubbed the pavement and rubbed into, ref. Roof vent busted to pieces from dry rot, roof vent in bathroom busted to pieces from dry rot, spare tire flat dry rotted, tail light didn't work, electric brakes all 4 wheels had to be rewired they did not work either, refrigerator circuit board was fried, ref. Gas burner rusted out, gas regulator and hoses had to be replaced gas valve on water heater had to be replaced, gas valve on furnace had to be replaced was leaking gas, roof leaked and rotted floor and back wall out like this when it came to me still leaks, tag holder was broken, tongue jack didn't work had a sheared pin in it, battery cover missing, bumper plugs missing, radio does not work, shower head leaked, outside shower hose leaks, smoke alarm In kitchen missing, 12 volt water pump don't work, fuse to gas detector was missing because of all the gas leaks fumes building inside camper, no keys to doors or storage compartments, they did not even have the title to it. Exaust fan in bath room is noisy, some inside lights don't work, some ext. Running lights don't work, propane tanks hold down bracket wing nut was missing, roof needs to be resealed, or replaced exterior needs to be re caulked at seems, window seals need replaced. Come to find out the camper was consignment they did not own it after they told me they just got it in and haven't had time to clean it up. ( Quote top reputable sales person) sold it to me. And they said it was checked out and ready to go. If that's not taking advantage of disabled people not being able to travel to see it then I don't know what is, the least they could have done was offer to bring a comparable replacement camper. Forgot to mention the holding tanks level indicators don't register right either some show 3/4 full when empty some shows 1/2 when full, roof still leaks when it rains. So everyone I talk to that want to buy a rv I will tell them my story with camping world and post on the internet on any feed back sites I can find about my experience at camping world. Pics sent never showed roof or any fixtures, rotted wall and floor, if it was checked out none of the above mentioned would have needed done, not even road worthy when it arrived, So you asked I told you.

At 8:25 am on Sep. 15th I received an email advertising a 48 hour special price ($154.97)on a grill. At 3:24 on the 16th, I ordered that grill and later found that my account was charged $171.97.

I contacted customer service, asking for my $17 refund... no response
I contacted Camping Worlds complaint hot line for my refund... no response
I contacted the complaint hot line again... no response.

Basically, no one at Camping World cares about the customer. After they have ripped you off and have your money they don't care and won't respond.
Sucks

A incident in Charlottesville with white supremists and far left radicals turned deadly. Trump called it a 50/50 situation. The CEO condemned the white supremist but no mention of the violent leftist radicals. I know of no conservatives who agree with the white supremist, or the violent left. I feel insulted being associated with any far left or right groups. Democrats started the klu klux klan, even though he recanted and said conservatives not associated with the white supremist were ok to shop there. It's very clear his attitude about anybody with beliefs that differ from his.

Purchased a travel trailer in mid August. Had a small accident, took back the very next day for estimate to repair. Man that did the estimates was on vacation for 1 week. Come on, only one person doing estimates. We have had nothing but the run around from the service department. Now 9 weeks later we still do not have our trailer. Very frustrated with the service and will never recommend anyone buying from CampingWorld

New 2018 Keystone Passport. Gave me hard time about hooking it up to my truck. Were supposed to have it ready, they did not. The same moulding was hanging as when we looked at it. Window still leaked. Did not explain how to turn on the heat, or explain much of anything for that matter! Called 2 months after purchase for warranty work, was told to drop it off in two weeks! The procedure was they would ck it out, submit it to warranty, call me to pick it up. Return when parts come in return trailer drop it off again and they will call when its ready. This involves 4 round trips at 3 hrs each! Every time I talk to them thay are very independant. Sales was great, service sucks! I will NEVER buy ANYTHING there again!

Our running lights weren't working on our 2014 Coachmen Apex camper. Being only a mile from our overnight stop near Madison, WI, we decided to see what Camping World could do to help us. They diagnosed and replaced our power cord, fixing the problem in a reasonable time, esp. Since we were just drop-ins with no appointment. While we waited, we got to shop in their awesome new addition, Gander Outfitters. Derek Hanson was our service advisor who kept us updated of the progress--totally appreciated. And the service mgr Justin Kaatz, was also quick with advice and encouragement. For our first time in Wisconsin AND visiting an actual store front, we were really impressed. Though we've bought from Camping World online, meeting actual employees and witnessing how they worked was a completely great experience. Thanks, guys!

PS We even toured campers and dreamed about how to upgrade!

This site discusses the growth of Camper World. They are growing, however, they are not growing their support Staff.

I dropped a Freedom Elite off on July the 4th. The comment was thank you, check back next week. I did, check back next week and I just visited today going on the 3rd week and was told to check back next week. The personnel who work there are great!

Johnathan is my contact at the service desk. He even called me at 7:45 PM to apologize for the service not being done yet. I talked to the service manager, I stressed my frustration over a company that serves the community and does not have a support staff to serve the business. In his defense, I blame it totally on the people who can hire.

Profits be darned, hire the people you need to support your business. If there was another maintenance facility that could provide the service I would be gone from them. I am a Good Sam member and if the representatives from Good Sam HQ are reading this then this facility needs to be reevaluated as a vendor. I know that I am not the only one frustrated with the poor service; they said they have more than 500 units waiting to be serviced...

Every time I go there out of frustration because no one answers the phone I see irate people at the service desk because no staff is available to provide the service.

If you are one of the frustrated people who purchased from Fayetteville Camper world and was told what a great support staff they had only to find out when you needed support it was non-existent please sound off. They will not change until they see that the customers want the service they thought they were getting when the salesperson sold them the unit.
