Scheduled work in March for warranty work for August 7th now its Sept 13th and nothing has been done. Been lied to and manager is very rude. I would not use them for nothing ever again. Worse place ever
My rv trailer has been for warranty work twice and it was damaged this last time. Trailer was sold to me brand new with a bent and damaged stabilizer jack, it was in the shop a month. A/C didn't work and the fridge was freezing everything. This time it was in the shop 10 weeks. They replaced the thermostat on the A/C and did nothing but reset the fridge. Fridge still freezes everything. After it came out of the shop I noticed the dent and scratches about 4 ft off the ground where it was dented. My manufacturer's warranty and my paint protection warranty are automatically void because they damaged the trailer. The paint protection was supposed to be 5 years and cost 1500. 00. They tell me it is not refundable. The GM will not take responsibility for the damage and then tells me if I am not happy I can do a consignment with them. The person who does the consignments tells me it was not something they did there at their lot and my trailer would sent to another state then, asks me to sell the trailer to them at less than what I paid not offering any monies back on warranties. A warranty refund would take 8 weeks to process. I cannot get anyone to call me back now and have even complained to corporate who also has failed to follow through. I don't trust them to fix this properly and my service guy said 95% of the time there is hidden damage. I wanted them to buy back my trailer and refund my monies. I'm not happy and only used this trailer 4 times. What happened to their moto if you're not happy I'm not happy?
So I have left a review here before about the bad service we received from buying our 2021 camper. I thought that after the corporate office called to see what they could do to help I would get some satisfied. After finally getting our camper fixed the corporate office has now left me hanging. I have called and left 3 messages and NO ONE calls me back to see how things went and if I was satisfied now. So not only do you not get good service at the store and it takes forever to get service... you get the same if not worse service from the corporate office. This is ridiculous!
Thanks to Dave Reiter at the Hanover store in PA he was so helpful helping me with my cushion as they were damage when I first took delivery of my 2020 rock wood roo hw296. He went to bat for me and it took almost two years to get the cushions, but finally we did, thanks Dave and your awesome customer service
We recently purchased a used Class "C" motorhome from Camping World, Ocala, FL. A week or so after delivery, we returned the unit to the Service Department for several issues: Install additional satellite receiver, check water leak from fresh water tank, check loose hose and wire from under dinette slide, and check roof for condition, replace coach radio.
When they finished, they said the satellite couldn't be checked until we added it to our DISH subscription. They said they obtained a signal... they couldn't have, because when it came back... there was no signal and the front receiver was no longer working. The dish was working before we took it out and upon return, it needs replaced.
The water leak was from the low point drain that wasn't closed after the unit was prepared for sale. We were charged $136, including $58 in shop parts, to close the drain valve. That should have been closed following the preparation.
We were told they did a "22" point roof inspection before it was put up for sale and at our request they did it again and advised that the roof was fine. Following this incident we had an independent technician check it and found numerous cracks and missing vents. The repair will now cost us more that $800. Again... that should have been done before the unit was sold.
We asked them to check a loose cable/hose underneath the dining room slide. They advised they secured it and charged $44... the cable/hose is still loose.
Camping World advised they would refund the $136.30 for the drain valve issue, but said that we would need to return the coach for the other repairs. We advised that we no longer have any trust for their service department and won't be dealing with them further.
We would advise anyone to be wary of Camping World's Service Department. We don't know what their issue is, but they've demonstrated to us that they are untrustworthy in both making any repairs or in their billing for shoddy work... if it was done at all. We are VERY disappointed in Camping World's Service and will not be returning.
Once they had our money we were of no interest. The first time using our camper the air conditioning didn't work. We were five miles from their shop but no offer to fix it right away. They said they will call back. We're still waiting for the call and it's 90 degrees. Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) definitely applies to Camping World.
Right out the gate I will say the sales and finance departments were pretty awesome. Hard stop. From there it has all been downhill. We took the RV on a 3 day trip to Syracuse and made a list of two items for the 90 day check up. We took it to the Rossford facility because there were a couple of warranty items that they had. It is a two hour drive. We told them when we arrived that the propane tank did not register inside the vehicle. The strange thing is they knew this when we drove it away but they needed the sale for the EOM and it was June 30th. They did not call us, we called them after two weeks. It took at least three calls to get any kind of an answer on the status. It was as if no one knew what was going on with it. We finally we found out when they would be finished, however, they never addressed the propane tank that we had told them to look into. A few calls later the tech said it was the wrong tank for the vehicle and needed to be replaced. They were supposed to call with the lead time. We had a trip scheduled for September 5. They didn't call me so I called them. No one was available in the service department so I asked for the service manager. Chad was very apologetic but that didn't fix the problem. The lead time is three weeks on the tank which completely thwarts our plans. I am annoyed that this wasn't dealt with when we first took it in. I am disappointed in Forest River for the mistake in the first instance. We paid a fair amount of money for a brand new RV and it turns out to be a bad move. If I could change time, I would not buy this RV and I wouldn't buy it from Camping World. This is not the best organization for extended customer service. I sent an email to Marcus Lemonis and did get an automated response saying all are read and some are answered. His problem is bigger than just me. I should have taken more seriously the reviews others had written, and so should Marcus. My bad. His bad.

About 4 years ago I had some body work and repainting done on my RV. Two years ago the paint started coming off. The local store said it was because of rock chips not a bad paint job so they would not repaint. I ignored it until I saw Lemonis slogan. I Emailed him and said I was unhappy and wanted the area repainted. They still said it was rocks. It was not, it was bad paint preparation. I sent two more emails and got no response. So I called and got a person who said give them a minute and they would look into it. They came back and rudely told me it was rocks, nothing they would do and hung up on me. I called a second time and got the same rude response. So I sent a certified letter explaining the situation. Have not heard a thing. Extremely rude and poor service. All I want is for them to repaint the area. David R. Mercer
Do not buy from this company or you will be sorry. They lie about everything including telling you to finance because you get a better deal than cash... this is ILLEGAL. The reason they tell you to finance is because they get a hefty kick back from M&T Bank. Then before you can leave they hook you up with insurance which is double the price of Progressive again because of heir kick back. They shove an extended warranty down your throat with fear tactics because of their kick back. They go ahead and charge for membership into the Good Sam's Club because guess what... THEY OWN IT! Lastly when I picked up my camper they have some flunky go through the camper with you the only problem they leave critical items up to you to figure out. I will never understand how this company is the largest RV dealer out there because they put their customers last. To top it off their CEO Lucas Lemonis is worth 500 million dollars which begs the question why is he doing this. Further Mr. Lemonis is on record in social media as stating that "if you are a Trump supporter then do not visit his businesses." Wow you basically write off half of your customers because of your political persuasion.
Camping World is a public company, I wonder how CW shareholders feel about this $#*!.
They lied to me they cheated me they never looked over the vehicle before they sold it to me. This vehicle should never been sold retail it's a wholesale piece at best. It's rusted out underneath the propane tank has expired nothing works, tires are out of date and Korean and then I brought it down after months of arguing with them I finally brought it down and left it off only to have the idiots leave the keys on the front seat and on the front lot in front of the store and they left it there until somebody came along and tried to cut off my catalytic converter. They never called me to tell me that people had damage the RV the police called and so I waited to see how long it would take camping world to call me tell me about the damage on the property and they never did! Stay as far away from this RV dealer as humanly possible!
I bought a used motorhome that has a steering issue and I can't get them to address which is a safety problem. Why? I could go on and on but don't have the time to get to it all
Wentzville, MO location. Bought a camper from them late February. Due to our schedule we couldn't pick it up until 3rd week in March. They had a whole list of things to fix during this time. Manager is rude, during my only conversation he said I should be doing business with them. Don't bother calling them, you'll just be put to voicemail. People who answer phones don't even know if the employee is even in that day. Turnover of employees is rediculous. We purposely had parts delivered to a different Camping World location. There again several phone calls constitly checking on status, again with different people, in late July we got some results. Of course they were always confused because Wentzville didn't communicate with them or return their phone calls. Davenport location came through for us. By the way Wentzville put a hole in the wall moving our camper around on the lot because they didn't secure the couch.
Bought cook top and glass cover, received the cover but no cook top. It has 2 month. Advertise on sale 4 weeks to receive. Still nothing. What will i do with a glass cover and no cooktop.
I ordered a toilet for my RV from Campingworld.com. At the time I placed the order, it said it would ship in 8-10 business days. 2 weeks later I called for an updated status and was told the item had been backordered, but had been shipped by the vendor and was in-route to the warehouse and would ship soon after. I was also given a $15 credit for the inconvenience. I was told I could use it on any future purchase. I asked if it could be applied to this purchase, which they did. A week later I received an email stating the toilet was backordered. I called to get an update. I was told the ones that had been shipped the previous week went to other customers and they didn't have any updates on when my order would be received. I asked to cancel the order. I was told they would and that I would get a full refund in addition to the $15 credit. Today I received a refund that was $15 less than my order. When I called, they told me I had already received a $15 credit and the refund was complete. I guess the 3 weeks of promises to ship is no longer an inconvenience they are willing to pay for when I cancel the order. Won't be buying anything from CW.com again. It's ridiculous that it takes two weeks to tell me the order isn't available and is backordered to begin with.
The follow up and service on my camper has been a complete farce! I had the unit repaired but they did not complete the repairs just sent it back out. Then no one returns phone calls for weeks just to tell you nope your are out of warranty so come pick it up. When you have to send family out to check on the unit before anyone will call you and I asked these are repairs that were not completed before. We are going to cover that. Don't buy from Camping World there are many other reputable organizations. So Save your money and your time.
DON'T GO THERE! They are horrible to deal with. They don't do what they promise and your camper will be worse after you leave it there for repairs. I am warning you…. Don't even go to the parking list. Terrible company in Roanoke, VA.
We bought a used 5th wheel from them, it was supposedly gone through and everything worked. Well there was 7 things that did not work small items and big items. I do have to give them some credit, they did fix it all but the trailer got hit in there lot. I think that is why they fixed it all at no expense to me. But the damage repair is still not all done. They had it from the end of April, was suppose to be back before memorial weekend, got it on friday at 7 pm. that weekend. And the damaged part was not complete and still isn't as of July 10th. I would not buy a camper from that place again.
Horrible Experience! I have had my camper going on three months and was just able to have a camping trip this past weekend. Lots of issues with the camper and camping world did not try to make any good efforts to fix them. I ended having to pay an independent service tech to come out and fix sewage, hot water heater, and many other things that camping world would not fix on a brand new trailer. I took it back up there and they did not fix any issues and the warranties and Good Sam stuff is a complete waste of money. I got the best warranty they offered and extended, but it does absolutely nothing. I do not recommend buying a camper here. If you live in Birmingham or close by, it is worth the drive to go somewhere else. From the buying experience, to service experience has been the worst i have ever dealt with, but THEY DO NOT CARE!
My wife and I purchased a camper from Camping World Uxbridge last week. We sat with 3 people, did the whole deal, financing, everything. The next day camping world called to let us know that ooops, they'd actually already sold the vehicle we bought.
Ok, that's weird, but we still need an RV so we took the one they offered us, which was similar, but not as good.
Well I took delivery of it the other day, and brought it out on it's first voyage. Within 500 miles, I lost the brakes completely and the power steering on the highway at 70mph. I was able to pull into the shoulder and let the *******lb vehicle stop itself, and then I was able to very carefully get to a truck stop to park safely. I popped the hood, and the power steering fluid compression hose was completely disconnected. Can't get it seated properly.
Well, I've been in this truck stop for 24 hours, on the line with camping world and good Sam trying to get a tow or a mobile tech or some kind of help. They've sent no one and bounced me around ad infinitum.
I've no idea what I'm going to do. I've got no water in my tanks, I'm 500 miles from home, and I'm in a vehicle with no steering or brakes.
One would think Camping World would do what they could to make it right, especially considering they have a service center not 20 miles from here, but the best I could get from them was "call ford".
Camping World is a horrible establishment, fraught with shady practices, unhappy customers, and questionable business ethic. They certainly aren't standing behind the lemon they sold me.
Buyer Beware. Don't think good Sam is going to help you, because in my case - they just aren't and there's nothing I can do about it.
These yayhoos have got to be the most $#*!ed and unprofessional $#*!s I have ever heard of in my life! Definitely going out of my way to make sure they go out of business asap as well as turning them into the BBB!
Answer: Honestly, the more I look to find answers on Camping world, the more negative reviews I see, had an RV dropped off a Forklift while I was signing papers! Try to beat that! New RV and dropped off a forklift. Worse yet, the corporate managers DID NOT WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT, that folks is the legit truth! It's one thing for accidents to happen, it's another to not make things right, bad management!
Answer: Yes I have emails to show. That I have been promised a refund waiting this line I expect a full refund and the run around is with it. If would like I can forwarded you the emails and you can ask where's my check.
Answer: Terrible - didn't seem to care and basically told me I was on my own
Answer: The people at camping world will tell you that they will call you. BULL! They never called me, so I tried calling them FIVE times! Not one return call. Not very reputable!
Answer: Just keep writing letters to all of the local politicians.
