Worst customer service ever. Always changing cards and awful communication. Huge fees all the time as well. I would suggest using a bank's card directly.
The first forex card buyforexonline gave me worked well. But the second one not only took a fees Everytime I withdrew cash but also had no online merchant payment service. All the online transactions failed again and again and they couldn't solve it. But instead gave me a frivolous suggestion to mail them Everytime a transaction failed. So if a I order food online cause I am hungry, I need to mail them so that they can authenticate my transaction, at their own sweet time. What a stupid $#*! suggestion is this. This company is a fraud in the most pretentious manner. I regret taking a forex card for them. Unfortunately, now I Stuck with them for a while.
I had purchased my Forex Card on urgent basis via BuyForxOnline, and the whole process was incredibly smooth. Also, Mrs Rekha my contact person at buyforexonline was very helpful with all my queries and went extra lengths to ensure that I receive the Card home delivered on time. Would highly recommend them to all travelers.
They give you second card (Thomascook) cancelling all previous benefits on which we buy the first card(Axis bank) and then collect exorbitant fees on cash advances and ATM withdrawals. They don't even give you satisfactory reason on why these charges are levied. I lost $200+ because of their innovative cheating method.
I had an axis card initially as provided by buyforexonline. After a year with no proper intimation and guidelines, that card was stopped for reload and I was sent with a new thomas cook card.
The terms and conditions on which I took the buyforexonline card was free first 3 ATM withdrawals and cash advance option available. Whereas the thomas cook card is nothing but a way to cheat customers that way. Their one time transaction limit is 1000$ per day (yes, per day) with 2$ fee (no free withdrawals) on ATM and 10$ fee on cash advance. So if I want to transfer 5000$, I'll have to do it over the course of 5 days as their daily limit is 1000$. How convenient is this?
These were not the conditions on which I took the card and I was not informed of these conditions before I made the reload request.
I am extremely disappointed with their service and would never use this website again.
This is my second review of this service provider. In my first, I had listed out the good, the not-so-good, and the bad. In this review, it is all BAD!
Basically, without any notification they have changed their vendor. Earlier it was an Axis Bank card given by Paul Merchant and now (according to another review on this site) it is Thomas Cook. I don't know that for certain coz I have no intention of asking them to send me a new card.
Somewhere in the last few weeks or months BuyForexOnline has changed their vendor without notifying the customers about it. I recently went online to reload the card and got a message that it cannot be done anymore and that I should contact customer support. I did and was told that they will send me a new card but I have to pay for it. That is so $#*!ty of any company. Not only do they leave a customer in the lurch by not informing them that the card is no longer usable, they then expect the customer to pay for it to be delivered in 5 days? Ridiculous to say the least

I have tried this service first time while travelling to USA in July 2017" They have done a good job. Even while in USA I reloaded at a rate comparable on RBI site. Very competitive. It's a very smart company. Reasons u should go for it
1. They allow 2 atm transaction fee of cost, but they will charge u for the same. When u will complain they will assure u of reversing the amount, which they will not.
2.if u want encashment afterwards, they will take hell lot of time to give back the money. I am yet to get my money back after many emails and telephone reminders.

Got best rates and also received card and cash on time. However card didnt work on day 1. Had to follow up with emails and calls to get it working. After that card started working for straight forward txns. Any cancellations or confirmation on pre approved txns wouldnt work. They say its one off but its hard to believe.
For last 3 days I'm una le to reload, everyday support says that site in tech maintanence n can reload tomorrow, but status same. They don't understand situation or solve pb by agreeing for neft for reload. Leaving travellers in lurch. Just avoid them

I rated 3 based on my experience on both sides of the leg buy and encashment. The buying experience was hassle free (3 star). During encashment they revealed that it will take 10 working days based on the last transaction which was news to me. Based on several conversations with customer care nobody revealed this information, so this was a letdown (deducted 1 star). So please plan your encashment process accordingly or better withdraw cash and covert them anywhere. Also, please note card bought from one vendor cannot be encashed with the other vendor despite having the same product. Deducting 1 more star for 1) Doesn't have IOS/Android app, 2) Cannot edit my profile on my own, in my case it was my first name which I wanted to correct the spelling, so created new profile, 3) Too much reliance on partnered bank, - A) 24 hrs for money to get credited once the reload is done on card, B) Balance check is only available on the bank website, overall end to end technology integration doesn't exist with the partnered bank.

It took a day to add BFO as a payee through netbanking and transfer the funds, and another 2 days for them to arrange the funds and give it to me at my office. So i was done with the entire transaction within 3 days all the while sitting at my office. Would recommend it to everyone
1 star deducted cuz i had to fill in a physical form again while collecting the forex, when i had already filled in all my personal details online. Hopefully they can make this process easier with pre-filled forms
Hassle-free, best exchange rates, timely and convenient! Faced no issues at POS and even ATM's (surprisingly it didn't charge me for withdrawing money). At some POS's extra questions regarding conversions popped up, just opt NO in those cases as you already have the foreign currency loaded.
I had problems in drawing cash using the card in the foreign location. It worked well in the POS. The customer support was excellent, when I happened to contact them from the location when the card did not work.
Card can be used for POS expenses, while depending on it for cash drawing through ATM's in a no no...

Buying the TATA Forex card was really convenient. I got the card in less than 24 hours, charging it with currency was super easy and it was most convenient to use - both as a credit card and for withdrawing cash. The exchange rate was also more competitive than any Forex Currency 'shop'. The only problem I had (and have not yet resolved) was an amount was deducted from my card for a yet unexplained reason. I still have to sort this out with the merchant. I am also not sure what rate I will get when I return the unused currency. Apart from that, I think this was a great find. Makes buying and carrying forex really simple.
