Even though their site says they'll do free shipping on returns, I called and they insisted they don't. Then I emailed customer service and they said they DID, but I had to call again to get the label? Now, something I ordered in October has had its shipment date move multiple times, now to March 2021. I want to love this place, but their customer service has been the literal worst.

IF I AM LUCKY HE MAY GET IT DELIVERED BY AUG 24TH! LAIFFA FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE, CONFIRMED...TOTALLY SHOCKING ME! YOU, BOX LUNCH, AWARE HOW DECEITFUL YOUR ADVERTISED ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATES ARE TOTALLY INACCURATE! THEY CAN ACTUALLY BE UP TO 3 WEEKS LATER! YOU, BOX LUNCH, SHOULD BE ASHAMED! YOU KNOWINGLY DISAPPOINT SO MANY YOUNG CHILDREN WAITING ON YOUR PRODUCTS FOR THEIR 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL! ESPECIALLY CHILDREN WHO ARE STARTING FOR THEIR VERY 1ST TIME! HOW? Boycott this store, they mistreat their workers to hire their friends. Human Resources does not care.
I have ordered from Boxlunch a dozen times over the last 4 years. Each time it takes them longer and longer to process the order to be shipped. But this last week was the topper. Order a sweatshirt that was "in stock" at one of their other stores (not in the Seattle area) but they would ship it store - to - store. Placed the order on 9/23/2021. Today is 10/7/2021 and I still have not received notification that I can pick it up in Seattle. This was a gift for my daughter-in-law's birthday on 10/5/2021. When I contacted BoxLunch and asked for order status and tracking information they told me that they don't have a status or tracking info. That they can share with the consumers. Really? So, I told them to cancel and refund my money. They again told me the order cannot be cancelled or refunded. I would have to wait for it to show up... pick it up in the store and then ask for a refund. The whole point of ordering on line was to minimize running around Seattle trying to get the birthday present in the first place. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They couldn't careless about their customers.
I really like this store but it's insanely expensive. It's very niche but I can't fathom paying $50 for a tshirt
I have never had issues with me standalone store and we love going there. However I decided to spend my box lunch money online for my daughter's birthday and was told that if I shipped it to the store it would be there within 3 to 5 business days yesterday was day 10 business day and I went to the store to just see if they would give me the items to fulfill my order since the shipment still was not there. They said that they did not have my shipment and they did not have the items to fulfill my order. Again not their fault I don't blame them and then went ahead and got a hold of online customer service to figure out where my order is and why it still had not been delivered on time and this morning I received an email back from them stating that my order had been fulfilled and that they apologized for me not receiving the email. I then went to ask them when my order had been delivered to the store since I was being held to such a tight timeline of 7 days to pick it up, and was told that my items had been there since the 21st. Yesterday was the 24th so either the store completely lied to me or the online customer service is lying I tend to believe it's online customer service. I will not order from them online again nor should anyone else.
I've been using box lunch app and website for many years. It's easy to buy you just can't apply boxlunch money. It's impossible and so aggravating.
I fully understand a business trying to save money on shipping and pushing customers to choose more expensive options but the fabricated service levels here are extremely deceptive. I decided to try an experiment to confirm. I placed an order for in-stock items on 9/18 and was charged immediately. I opted for standard shipping at $6.99 which has a 3-8 business day delivery estimate. My order processed with Boxlunch for a week. A shipping label was finally created on 9/23 for my package and the shipping company (Lasership) recived it to ship on 9/24. It is scheduled to arrive on 9/29. I also created an order for in-stock items on 9/22, again I was charged immediately. With this order however I selected the Expidiated shipping for $17.99 which has a 2-3 business day delivery estimiate. My order was processed and had a tracking label on 9/23. On 9/24 Lasership recived my package for shipping. It is estimated to arrive 9/29. Both are moving through Lasership with the exact same service level attached to the packages. So in short, just be aware that any added shipping charges that are paid to this comapany are not actualy related to the timing of service recived from the shipper but rather a fabricated fee from Boxlunch itself to get around to actually shipping out your already paid for items in a timely fashion. Then again we are talking about a compant that charges an extra $2.99 service charge per ordered item if it's a pre-order.
Great site for movie lovers. Great selection of products. I like how they group products by category to ease search options. Quick delivery. Lots of deals and coupons!
This is a great store! They have a bunch of different things to look at and buy. Their prices are a little high, but every $10 spent gets donated, so at least you are helping out a great cause.
They won't let you reset your password. They do this so you can't redeem your boxlunch cash. Cool products, but horrible company.
