I have used Boats.net for years for routine maintenance and not-so-routine repair parts for my 1990 Merc 200 XRi. They have always shipped promptly and at a very competitive price. Inquiries are answered quickly too. If I can keep that old engine running for thirty years Boats.net and I have to be doing something right!
I had previously ordered the part from another company (crowleymarine.com), and after waiting over a week with no shipping confirmation I called Crowley and was told that the part was not in stock and that they had no idea when they might get it, I cancelled the order with Crowley. What the parts have been many for the Yamaha. I think they seals, impeller, spark plugs, tps, good for any parts.

After much frustration trying to save money on eBay and having no mechanical experience with boat maintenance, I sucked it up and paid a slightly higher price at Boats.net with which I gained their technical support and expertise! Trust these guys, they know what they are doing! After attempting to replace my starter for 6 weeks, one call to boats.net and they sent correct starter and selinoid and project completed In 2 hrs! I live in a small village on Lake Gatun in the Republic of Panama. There are lots of locals with old 80's and 90's small outboards of all makes. All of them have lots of hours as they use them daily on their cayucos (hollowed out log canoes) to commute to and from their homes and haul farm products and supplies around the lake. I have been ordering parts from Boats.net for about ten years for these people and they have never let me down. Their online catalog has allowed me to order all sorts of parts that are not even available in Panama. I have only had to call them a couple times but on those occasions the people I spoke with were knowledgeable and helped me sort out identifying the specific part. The thermostats and gaskets I purchased came quickly and were OEM. My engine overheated on my last ocean fishing trip. Boats.net included a narrative before my purchase that first check the tell tail stream. It was good. Then check the thermostats. They were corroded. One was struck closed and the other opened. I really appreciated

I have never had any problems ordering from boats.net We purchase from them frequently and have always been happy with the prices and the shipping. This year has been tough for anybody in parts/retail. Items are on backorder from the manufacturers to the distributors. Backorder dates constantly change. I've never had a problem with boats.net shipping or customer service. People need to remember we're in a very strange time right now. Shipping delays are probably not their fault.

I placed an order on their website for a propeller. My card was charged and then received an order canceled email with no explanation as to why they canceled it. I had to call to find out they no longer had stock. However the propeller is still available under that PN and another part number on their site to place orders against. They tell me my refund will take 7 to 10 business days. In the mean time I have to order a propeller from somewhere else.
