Logging in has become a real pain. You keep changing things! Now have to use a user id,,,used too be able to login with email. A little while back your password field keys wanting to set a new password rather than use for logging in. All very odd.
Also, is really annoying having the popup trying to sell me some upgrade I don't want - keep having to click 'continue to account manager'
All good except setting up my Google account failed midway through. It seems the account now exists, but I never set up a password. I'm not sure if I'm getting charged. Very frustrating, but likely user error.
The website themes always have errors or cause viruses, ETC. This has been a horrible experience and support never can help me is always suggesting that I spend more money by using a web developer when this site is being advertised as simple.
Absolutely awful tech support if something actually goes wrong. I had multiple issues for years and you can never get direct access to help. You start back at the beginning every time with a new agent (who really doesn't believe you).
The customer service rep was outstanding in her role and did everything possible to accommodate my request. Although I was hoping for a larger refund, she worked diligently within her limits. Great job and keep up the good work!
Endless mistakes and problems. I spend a lot of time getting files off my server. When I reinstated my service not that long ago, you went back to some older version that rolled all that back. Hours of work down the drain.
Your chat support sucks, it's increasingly harder to navigate to my content and fix issues every time I log in, I literally dread having to log in to do anything, plus my emails don't reliably send or are received in a proper timeframe. I've been a customer for almost 20 years and feel like this platform has been annihilated by garbage. Especially for the price I'm continuously paying.
The chat pop up window and notification bell are a distraction when not in use. I can also do without the large ads for purchases before going to account manager. Otherwise, this experience has been great!
Things got put on auto pay... i took them off, they magically got turned back on. Other items got added to my account that i don't need, reps tried to argue with my husband about how they were valuable... he's a network engineer, he got annoyed and then i had to listen to him complain. So thanks for that.

The issue has been escalated. It has been over a week and I do get updates apologizing for the failure of website backup to occur, and hopefully it will be corrected appropriately. Overall, the migration went smoothly once it started, but there were many hiccups along the way.
Chat support is very bad, they put you on hold for 10-15 minutes then transfer to another agent, then they either repeat this cycle or tell you that problem will be solved in 24 hours, which does not happen.
I have a recurring problem with emails being rejected. It happens every 2-4 weeks and has been going on for months. Everytime I contact support they tell me it's fixed this time... many hours wasted on this.
The Free Website Guys are really free. Sven Nilsen did an awesome job and is genuinely a nice guy. They built the website in a step-by-step process and sent me videos with instructions for certain steps. They even show you how to make changes after the site is completed. I liked them so much that I even recommended them to someone I know. Great job!
Forcing changes for security reasons, without options, is still forced change. Passwords with a false sense of security. No voice in the matter, just a paying victim. I hate it every time I log in, but this is where I am. Remember, you asked.
I have tried 3 times today to get support thru chat...if I dont see the chat and miss about 30 seconds...it starts over again. This is really $#*! service. I put my issue in the chat thread.and NO one looked at it.
I'm at the point of renewing and I'm really quite irritated about the lack of transparency about what it will cost (it doesn't say in the dashboard and I've not had an email recently about it (or since I asked for my plan to be changed). I also don't understand why there's such a lack of control (e.g. To change plans etc.) I have through my online portal. It's disgraceful that an online service gives so little control and transparency over these things in 2024.
One of our volunteers initially set up the website. That person left the organization. Try as we might to get the renewals to go to the correct person, Blue Host made it difficult. We thought we had finally gotten it fixed when we found our site taken down because one of the pieces was charged against the original owner's card and was rejected. It took a dozen phone calls and several hours on the website to achieve satisfactory resolution.
My website has been down since my domain name renewed. I've tried your support service twice and waited 48 hours after each for it to "propagate." I'm waiting - again. I can't tell you how unhappy I am with this.
You charged my 300 dollars for a plan that you are not even offering. And you declined to drop me down to a new basic plan. I also have had a lot of trouble using the wordpress site in terms of building my website so that is frustrating. I'm just very frustrated right now
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
