It is not explained that if you already own your domain name your will have to wait to build your site until I got the domain trabsfered over. Also there not explanation of hoe to do that. Result 5 hours of my time waisted considering WIX instead put am now in limbo
Easy to build the website for people with no web building experience.
It would be really nice if the billing change form would actually work. This is the second time this year that I needed to update the information and took multiple visits and attempts to do so to finally accomplish the task with out seeing "Please try again later."
The customer service experience today has been terrible. Repeated attempts to contact someone either via phone or chat. I have not yet made contact with a human. The chat box opened, but there was nobody to chat with. Then I was told I would get a call back in 32 minutes. That was more than an hour ago.
I was charged early on a renewal with an authorization out of my bank. I called Bluehost and spoke to an overseas agent who said my transaction was declined. It obviously hit my bank and was not declined, so Bluehost is incorrect. Also, give a warning the day before you take out money so I have the chance to change.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Right now, all my email accounts are down.
My sites hosting has gone down weekly. When I called the tech gave me attitude and blamed it on the CDN which was not the case.

I have tried twice to update my billing but gives me an error message
By far the worst platform I have tried using. 100% not beginner friendly.
This is my third day using Blue Host. The first day, I had trouble accessing the dashboard and was told it was a glitch. I found out the next day, that the person didn't switch my account to shared hosting (from website builder) after he told me he did (the plan switch was my fault because I clicked on the wrong plan).
The second day, they fixed the glitch, but then there was a second issue because I couldn't get to my website to edit it. I was again told there was a glitch and the server was down for people with a certain IP address. We are batting 0 for 2.
We will see what today holds, but it's definitely been frustrating especially when you pay for a service. I'm also afraid I'll have issues w/my website once it's up and running. All staff has been courteous and has tried to be helpful.
Answer: NO - please do not go with Bluehost, it will save you a lot of hassle. They have the worst customer service and take your accounts offline just so you upgrade for more money even though the thresholds were not met. This means they are just running a scam by taking your websites offline and then offering the solution to get them back online by paying more money to them. My websites were down for 6 days and I've lost hundreds of dollars in income, have to pay my developers for all the work they did and NONE of it will be refunded by Bluehost. I migrated everything away from them and they do not even want to refund my sign-up costs. It is a total scam run but incapable and money-grabbing people whereas the CEO of Endurance group Jeff Fox made $10.000.000 in 2019 alone and the CEO of Bluehost Suhaib Zaheer $2.300.000. Be aware you do not get scammed by them, I've warned you. They are an evil company run by people with zero morals. I am going to report their theft to the FTC, BBB, and law enforcement. I will not go down without a fight and they will regret stealing from me and other affiliates as their reputation sinks in the toilet.
