This is my 4th purchase of window coverings from Blindster and I am very happy as usual with my blinds. I will not go anywhere else for window coverings.
Got our blinds and installed them with a little difficulty because the instructions were rather vague, not specific at all. Since my son is very handy, we figured it out logically. They work nicely, but received some Velcro looking pieces that we aren't sure what they're for- no mention in the instructions. May be for hold downs on windy days? Production took longer than expected in making them, so it took a couple weeks longer than anticipated.
The buying process was easy and well explained at the website and the delivery was on time. However, there were no videos to explain the installation process and the small written instructions in each of the packets with the blinds were complicated. We also received some missing "L" brackets for the valance attachment and one of the blinds headrail was bended.
Very positive experience. I gave 2 stars because the quality was good but not great. But then again we purchased the least expensive mini blinds. The mounting clamps were excellent. The blinds fit perfectly. Sample color pieces were sent quickly. Overall, the experience was excellent and I'd use them again.
I spent extra on these retractable shades in hopes they would function properly compared to the cheap versions at box stores. To my disappointment, they function just as poorly and I regret thinking and investing otherwise. Overall, I would not recommend splurging and expecting higher standards.

Ordered Super Value Bamboo blinds in Hatteras Camel. Lovely color and they look just as good in person as they do online! We purchased them for privacy and to add texture to the room. Easy to install but beware that these blinds are heavy. We ordered 71" length to be installed inside the window frame and ended up having to reinforce the frame.
I bought an entire house-full of faux wood blinds. They were purchased to spiffy up my home prior to its sale. I was so happy with the product! Wish I had bought them sooner! One of the blinds and two of the valances were not made according to specifications - I contacted Blindster and the new ones were made and shipped to me within 2 weeks time. Highly recommend and will order from them again!

I have to say that the product is not too bad, we like it and we was somewhat satisfy, with the exception of 2 set of blind that we got for the master bedroom.
We order the blind with privacy liner, but we didn't like very much. It was our choose no one fault but just a wrong chose on our part.
However we shopped online whit confidence because they offer 60 day satisfaction guarantee. Well, when we try to return the bedroom set for an exchange without the liner they denied. The reason was because the order was more that $1000 as they specify on the police. I call customer service and explain that I fully understand the $1000 order limit, however I was try to return, o better exchange, less than $1000 value. I had several conversation but I didn't have success on the return. In my opinion the statement on the "60 day guarantee" is very miss leading, because it read:"Orders valued $1,000 or more cannot be returned for a refund" and this to me means that if I like to return less that $1000 value should be possible. Well is not!
I'm satisfy with the product but the cost difference to a local store has not overcome the quality of the product, so to me the value isn't to grate.
I'm complete unsatisfying with customer service and I will NEVER use them again nor suggest to any friend. To me customer service is equally important as the product and company like Blindster.com should honor such as they say they will.

I'm so sorry you aren't happy with our service. We take pride in having the most liberal return policy in our industry. As I understand it, you are not happy having the privacy liner on the 3 shades in question. We have offered to have the liner removed at no charge to you (we will pay for the repair charge). I will call you to see if you want to take advantage of this offer.
The blinds arrived a day or 2 ahead of schedule and I installed them with no problem. I've installed many blinds so the process wasn't difficult. This was a relatively large blind and somewhat heavy, yet I was able to install it by myself. It would have been easier for 2 people. I only have one concern and that is the cuts for the cords are not smooth and rounded. Over time they may fray or break the small ladder cords. I called the company about this and was told that if anything fails, they will replace it. Time will tell.
I haven't put up the blind yet, but I was happy with the price and the delivery.
Blindster.com provided excellent online services. There was a delay in the manufacturing of the shades and I got an immediate e-mail notifying me of the delay. For my inconvenience, they credited me with and additional 10% discount and provided two day shipping once the blinds were ready to ship. Will do business with them again.
Totally love my new blinds. Went up easily, without a hitch.

The cordless spring roller mechanism is probably a better quality that what you can get in the box stores. However, I agree with you in that it is not as reliable a system as the clutch system.
