Blinds arrived quickly, quality is great - look wonderful - really like the header. They look much more expensive than they were.
Always a great experience & refer all our clients to Blindster!
Couldn't ask for any better service, both in time to receive order as well as customer service. Would not hesitate to order again or recommend to others
Prices were competitive, BUT:
1) Very disappointed that you can't get cordless honeycomb shades narrower than 18". I have two 16" windows that will look out of place now.
2) I ordered the whitest white of all the samples I requested, and they STILL look off-white, and I discovered that is because the bottom piece is beige. Why wouldn't they make the header AND the bottom trim piece the same color?
3) The site did not say they would chop 1/2" off your width measurement. I presume this is for the brackets. The brackets would have absolutely fit with less space, and now my blinds are all awkwardly smaller than my windows because you have to go with the shortest width to start with.
EDIT: I am more than pleased with how Blindster responded to these issues. Technically, some of this information WAS contained on the site, but it was buried in details/measurements that are hard to interpret until you see the final product. I informed Blindster that none of these issues were major, and we decided to keep the blinds as-is rather than go through the hassle of returning them. I did not ask for any money back, but they voluntarily gave me back 50% of my purchase price. Still just a fairly average product, but WONDERFUL customer service in a world where that is almost unheard of anymore.
I just can't get enough of this store! Great products and customer service!
The blinds itself are nice but the wand and open/close mechanisms are fragile and I don't feel they are made to withstand the test of time.
I'm sorry you aren't completely happy with your order!
All of our products are covered by our limited lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects. The tilt mechanisms in the blinds you ordered would certainly be covered. We are very confident in the quality of the components in all of our blinds/shades. I will call you to see if there is something wrong with the blinds.
I have furnished 6 rooms of my home using Blindster and have been very pleased.
I wasn't sure of the blinds and quality, so I ordered only 2 blinds; one for the east side and one for the west side. Surprisingly, it cooled the living room and dining room down immediately. So I ordered for the rest of the house. House has never been cooler for the Oklahoma heat.
We are very pleased with our Blind. We plan to order another one for our big front window in the near future. Can't wait to replace the current curtains.
I have order from Blindster prior and loved the products. However on my recent faux wood blind order I have been in contact twice with Blindster. It seems first time the product was back ordered and I was not informed and second I am not sure the delay, it is now month and half later and I am just receiving my order.
Seems communication on their end needs some fixing. This was resolved only when I contacted them.
Ordered blinds on line, web page is a little awkward to use but eventually order was placed. A phone call to a representative was made to confirm order. The rep was very helpful and knowledgeable. The order consisted of 22 different windows and the product was received within a couple of weeks. There was an error made on the size of a valance but a phone call corrected this and the proper size was sent in a few days. Quite pleased with the experience and the blinds. Keep up the good work!
Commercially-stocked blinds are made only in standard widths, none of which fit into the screened windows on my porch. Blindster created four sets of blinds for the porch that fit perfectly and look beautiful. I am pleased. The porch looks like a lovely old sunroom in a victorian home.
The blinds for our new restaurant are wonderful. We got 11 of the 2" faux wood blinds. Customer service was extremely helpful when I called to make sure I was measuring correctly. We are a small business and just opened as "The Happy Oyster Pub and Grill". As a local restaurant the price was great for our start up budget. They really add class.
I ordered the wrong size by mistake. They fixed it for me.
I ordered four custom sized blinds. One unit had a broken end cap. The replacement part was sent out promptly.
Customer service representatives are very knowledgable and friendly.
I would order from them anytime.
The size I ordered did not fit, and color was too dark. I called customer service to see if there was anything I could do. They were replaced with correct size and color. The rep was very accommodating and understanding. She was patient with my many questions.
Great service and quality. I made mistake and ordered fixed top blinds and customer service was very generous in taking them back and supplying the ones I wanted with very little penalty for my mistake. I really like the cordless up-down feature. Attaching hardware works well and is easy to install.
First of all there were no instructions so thank goodness I knew what I was doing. Love the blinds but crown molding valance is to short. These blinds were for a double inside mount window so I purchased 2 blinds and they come with the valances. The 2 valances are to short by about 1/2" total. If I have them together in the middle then you see part of the bracket on each side and if I have them pulled over enough to cover the brackets then there is about a 1/2" gap in the middle which looks horrible. Also, they are very, very noisy when you pull them up. Called blindster and they tried to sell me a one piece valance for an additional $20.00 which still would not work if it was cut to short. They had an excuse for everything and made me feel like I was stupid and did not understand. They could have solved this by just sending me 2 new valances that actually fit. Believe me I am 59 yrs. Old and have been ripped off more than once in my life. I have 11 windows in this house that eventually I was going to purchase new blinds for so they lost a lot of money and what would have been a good customer. SO MUCH FOR THEIR SLOGAN OF FIT-OR FREE GUARANTEE.
I'm sorry you had a problem with your order!
The valances not covering the entire headrail (including the brackets) is usually caused by 1 of 2 issues: 1. The top of the window is wider than the bottom of the window or 2. The blinds were ordered too small. In this case it looks like the blinds were ordered 1/2" too small.
We can either handle this under our Fit or Free Guarantee or we can get you wider valances (your choice). I will call you to see what we can do to get everything remedied.
I'm sorry you aren't happy with your order!
Unfortunately, I don't have a factory that makes cordless cellular shades as small as you want. There isn't room for the mechanisms in the headrail for smaller blinds.
In the U.S., all factories make a width deduction when blinds are ordered as inside mount. This is not only to accommodate the brackets but also to allow the shades to move freely in the window. I'm sorry you didn't see it but our measuring instructions are very clear that you should use the actual window opening width measurement (smallest of the width at the top, middle & bottom) when ordering inside mount blinds. We can remake these under our Fit or Free Policy if you want to get wider blinds.
I will call you to discuss your header and bottomrail not matching and to see if you want to remake your shades at a wider width.
