Yelp fraud

I own a roofing business that has 4.8 star rating on google with over 200 reviews. I also have many reviews on yelp, unfortunately yelp posts what reviews they want and not all of them. I received 11 5 star reviews. Yelp buried 10 of the 11 reviews. Yet
A 1 star review from 2 years ago is still at the top.
This is not fair and is hurting my business.

Yelp is a huge scam please do not support this business at all. They are very transparent in their practices, I have 42 great reviews all buried and not recommended including 9 great customer reviews in just 2 weeks one by one picked away and dumped into not recommended. They only leave negative reviews up and visible and also juggle reviews in and out of not recommended at their discretion. They are ripe for a class action lawsuit and they know it. If you dont pay your reviews are dumped into a non visible platform as not recommended to keep your rating very low

Yelp reviews are shady

I've been doing reviews in google, trip adviser and other places on the internet. I read reviews often, mostly about restaurants. Everyone has heard of Yelp. I read the reviews on their too. A Month ago I joined Yelp to post reviews on their as well. They put my reviews in a NOT recommended category! So they aren't even being counted. It was a waste of my time. Then I looked even further into it and it looks as if they discard the majority of reviews. That is nowhere near a true reflection of any place or service. Something isn't right there.

Bottom line, we don't pay for their services so they leave all the bad reviews and take away all our good reviews... unless I pay them, then they claim they can help me. A rep calls me at least twice a week. I speak to him and explain my position. I don't want to pay Yelp if they won't support me with my negative reviews. He said, "you have 4 stars! Other businesses would be delighted to have 4 stars." I told him, it wasn't about the stars. I then asked 6 clients if they would post a review for me. Some of these clients I have serviced for 3 years. They all did. A week later, they were removed and my business now has 3 stars on Yelp. He called again today. I missed the call. I not sure what my next move is. Yelp are unfairly harming my business. They don't care, they want my money and only then can they help... unethical, bullies and bad for business.

Yelp rips you off!

Do not use Yelp for business owners. We used them for one month, we were given a monthly budget and were told we could cancel at any time. When we got the first bill it was 4 times what we expected. We did not get any customers from their garbage promotion ads that they claimed they ran for us. When we asked if there was some sort of mistake, they told us there was nothing they could do. They do not care about your business. Yelp for business owners sucks, avoid at all costs.

Worst company ever!

I have a lot of 5 stars reviews and 3 bad reviews. I decided to stop paying for advertising with this company so what people can see are my bad reviews now after I stopped paying. They totally hid my good reviews. They recently debited from my bank account another amount with my no authorization. Those 2 bad reviews are from people who wanted to take advantage from us, I reported those reviews so I got a feedback that says those reviews are about conflicts of interest.
Its insane, outrageous... horrible company!

Yelp is a company that corrupts reviews so that you aren't reading a true cross section. They appear to be bias toward a business and fail to print negatively rated reviews... or at least place a negative review in some obscure place while keeping the better reviews more readily available to the consumer. From now on, if I see Yelp is the company reviewing, I won't believe a word they say about average ratings. So ends free press and honesty in review ratings.

After getting harassed by phone calls and emails for to weeks I finally settled in to set up my page. The man who I talked to was really nice, convincing and I thought he was genuinely helping me make money. Me over here... as a fresh start business owner I took the bait and purchased business packages for my page which was going to only cost $135 total because they offer $450 funds for my account "FREE". I was only advertising for 17 days not a full month and already was charged $340.60 in my account that money was meant to shop for my Christmas presents for my family. This scammers are scamming every day and will do their best to lure and take money from hard working people. I'm currently working with my bank and see what they can do about this.

I started a Yelp biz for home cleaning. I was super nervous about after reading all the bad reviews. Get ahold of Kevin DWork senior elite director to help you set your page up. He's up front honest and he'll explain how to run your Yelp biz page. Super helpful

Terrible customer service. Very unfair. I pay a lot of money and I don't get any customers from them. It cost me $575 a month and they block all my reviews. My competitor's which have just 4 photos on their site have published 180 reviews. Me personally I have an experience in my field for 15 years and I was uploaded 74 photo which makes my website nicer than 30 others, anyway, they block all my reviews.

Deceiving practices
March 10, 2021

Don't use their advertising. Sales rep will guide you to their biz page to add your card to simply show you what he can do to the page. I repeatedly asked for assurance I was not being charge anything. He said yes no until we review your account which we never did. Two months later got debuted 558 from yelp. Called asked and got assigned a Danielle person. She said they did everything right. Asked to pull audio again she said she did and that of course they were right! Told her bad practice she said don't care you can go to the BBB. Don't do business with them until now I don't even know what I paid for. This was my second attempt to try to do business with them a total waste of time and money. They have NO INTEGRITY!

Refuse to post my 5 star reviews fake reviews stay on the top page. Who are to people in the basement approving fake vs real reviews? Over charge my cc card on hold for 3 hours to talk with a customer service rep. I am so disappointed in yelp the lack of customer service.

I have a package that was overnight delivery and to be signed for, I took time off work to receive this package. I've been outside this whole time waiting, hanging Christmas lights and yard work and no one showed up! Went online to check tracking number and this delivery driver lied and said no one was home! FedEx needs to hire workers that want to work and fire the ones that don't! I have video cameras on my house as well and no FedEx truck anywhere! I'm sure they have GPS on their trucks and should call the drivers bluff and get rid of the lazy one's! I'll never do business with FedEx EVER AGAIN.

Scam
September 10, 2020

Horrible, horrible company that entraps consumer. Talked with a salesperson about the possibility of joining Yelp. She encouraged me to go on a particular page to see which was the best option. I told her I would think about it and told her to call me the following Thursday. She never called and the next thing I knew they attempted to bill my "cancelled" credit card $400. They picked the wrong one this time.

Withholding good reviews
December 31, 2019

Recently i viewed my yelp page found two negative reviews back to back, a customer had put in a good review for me, i could not find it, called yelp, they led me to an area where i have 32 genuine positive reviews storied, when i asked why they were not published they said the computer controls what is viewable and what is not. This is bull$#*! especially considering I pay $360 a month to advertise on yelp.

The worst company for business ever, total fraud, total scam. They charge for "clicks" viewers of your business, so ridiculous. No information provided prior about this, just at the end of the months i found out that i was charged from them because of the clicks my business had.

AWFUL! SHADY! RUN!
October 30, 2017

ZERO STARS! I clicked on a promotion through my email to run a free trial ad for my business on Yelp. They ended up charging my credit card on file with over $500 worth of charges for their services! I called and inquired about this and they took no ownership. I said I want to cancel all services they were charging me for. The following month I got another $150 charge on my card from them! This is THEFT! Appalling. I will be telling everyone I know to run far far away.

Yelp called me and wanted to open a business account with them. I Talked to one of the workers and promised me that I will have 5 customers a day if I join them. Of course, she says that i need to put my credit card info so they can help me out with this. Couple weeks later, i get not eve 1 customer on my business page and tried cancelling my card. I called many times, emailed them saying to cancel my card and no one wanted to help me.

Dishonest and unprofessional Service. Do not open a business account with them and thankfully I had nothing on my card because they wanted to charge my card daily!

I just had 2 back to back customers do positive reviews for me and Leather Creations-Buford, Ga. They've now been taken down and placed on the no recommended listing of reviews. These were legitimate reviews, one of a customer who had just bought and another, who appreciated a service call I took, they were on 09/25 & 09/26/18. I will do Google reviews in the future and not support yelp. What is the point of a good review, if the review company takes it down?
