I joined in Nov. 2010, won and purchased 14 items right away in hopes of having them for Christmas. I was told they would be shipped within 2 weeks, as of today I still have not received even one item.
This site is an absolute scam... I "won" 4 $50. Gift cards 6 months ago and still have not received them. I have contacted customer service 3 times and you get the same B. S. line that it's the co. That handles their shipping that's at fault. I contacted the Better Business Bureau 3 weeks ago and received an e-mail today saying that Bidsauce will not return their calls and messages. Please help spread the word about this site so others don't get screwed by this auction site. Qubids, Bidcactus, and Big Deal are all legit. Sites that I have dealt with.
It was absolutely terrible. First they automatically charged me. I was dumb in not reading the agreement, which they get away with saying you will automatically get bids. Also, it automatically charged me for more bids. Here's the kicker. When I ended using those expensive bids to finally win a product, they haven't even sent it yet! Its almost april and I bought it in December. They are scam artist, and a terrible company to deal with.
Shame on bidsauce! Worst site ever. I never received almost $2,000 of my merchandise. Customer service did nothing to rectify anything. Shame on me for not suing their behinds! Please don't waste your time or money. I received my winnings in the beginning. All was great until I noticed items weren't arriving. I reached out to Customer Service. They said it would be arriving soon, but nothing. Don't trust them!
Thanks everyone for posting. I won nearly 180 times making a good profit. However I only recieved a fraction of my cards and items. They still owe me nearly $9,000 in items. I have just now contacted the Utah Consumer Protection Agency.
Nov 5th, 2010 decided to try bidsauce.com. I bought a big package for $375 plus upgraded to the platinum for $14.99. I started bidding which granted I jumped in a little to fast which is my fault, but ended up wining 3 auctions for a total of $125 worth of gift cards. Oh then they charged me a shipping fee of a few dollars per item. About a $250 dollar mistake but worse then that still waiting for items lmao. Everytime I contact them they give me the same run around about trying to get backorders caught up. What a joke they were christmas presents last year what the hell do I care now but u think such a great company could afford $125 don't u think especially since it only took about 10 minutes for them to take my money that day and my bids lol.
I hate this site! I just discovered this site today. I've been looking for penny auction sites since I already reached the win limit at skoreit, bidcactus and quibids. I made investigation and finally joined this site since they have items for auction every few minutes... I hate waiting several hours for an item. I bought the 250 bidpack for $149 for 1st time buyer. After playing in the beginners auction I used up all my bids and just won $25 worth of gift card. As I mentioned I'm actually not new in this auction thing since I've been a regular of the 3 penny sites I mentioned. The chances of winning at bidsauce is so slim. Not gonna play here again. Does anyone know any penny auction site that has higher chance of winning? Thanks
SCAM. I won two bids for giftcards, which I never received. I called three times and was given the same weak story about delays, vendors not paying them etc. I contacted the BBB. They couldn't get BidSauce to cooperate. I was unable to get a refund, credit, or the products I paid for. STAY AWAY.
. I visited this website and bid on 5 different gift cards and won> This was in November 2010 and still have not got them. I have called 3 times, e-mailed 2 times about when am Igoing to get these and I get the run around and they always say yours will be the first to go out. Here it is March 24th and still no gift cards. I would not recomend this website.
Have been waiting since November 2010 for a gift card. NO help at customer "service". Avoid at all costs or it WILL cost you! (After reading other complaints, I'm glad I'm not out more money!)
Why don't all those ripped-off people simply dispute the charge with your credit card company. Use these reviews as proof it's a rip-off if need be. Worked for me, BidSauce got me with the same $149 scam as most of you and wound up with not a penny of my money.
The site is a RIP OFF. They want people to pay $7.50 shipping for a ECARD. We all know ECARDS are free to ship. It seems like they have the same players on that site that win. I wonder if they are paid players.
This website is a complete scam! After registering I found out they charged my credit card $149.95. No answer after calling (always busy) and then talking on line with a live chat person was told they do not give refunds and pretty much too bad!
I have protested this charge with my bank and hopefully something can be done but not holding my breath. This site should be illegal and stop taking money from unsuspected people. Do not use this site.
Worst Penny Auction I've played on. Timer is always freezing. I keep having to re-log in. Once I start back trying to bid it will freeze again. Then just when I feel it's close to really increase my bidding the site will freeze and when I the timer starts back the item comes up SOLD. This happened twice Saturday night and once Sunday morning. My left over bids are wasted as far as I'm concerned.
I found this site by accident, and thought it looked fun, so I bought a bid pack. It is fun and relatively easy to win an auction. Now, to receive your auction win, you must pay at least $6.94 per auction win (just for gift cards, more for electronics, etc., even if they are shipped together with other wins). I waited weeks to receive my auction wins after corresponding with them online through customer service. Once I receive some of my auction wins I purchased more bids and won more auctions, realizing that shipping is their weak point. Well, it's been almost 6 months, and I have yet to receive almost $2,000 worth of auction wins. So if you are in it for the thrill of winning, spend your money. But be ready to wait a long time to receive your winnings if ever. I plan to complain to Better Business Bureau, and have found a better run auction site.
Stay clear of this website! It's only been 48 hours since I signed up but they have not responded to any customer inquiries via phone or e-mail. They haven't even sent me an e-mail to "verify" my account. When I try to call their line is an automated answering machine. NO LIVE PERSON! This is an expensive scam, and the worst part is that I now have to fight to get my money back through my bank which I am determined to do. Do not fall for this website.
Took my 149.95 and cannot get it back, website confusing to say the least. I did not even know I had spent money until i won an item. They say too bad, they cannot help and i should have read their terms better. You better believe I will slash their name to hell and back. I work hard for my money in this economy and though this looked like a good way to purchase for less... how misled was I... I won a 50.00 gift card that i will probably never get and all it cost me was 149.95. I am beyond ticked off. They were not helpful at all and they are a scam and rip off. Stay away please...
This is an auction site where bids cost money. The high bidder wins the auction but also has to pay up to 60% or one dollar per bid. So far I have one five auctions on this site but have yet to receive any merchandise from these auctions. Each time I contact the site and ask where my merchandise is I'm told it's in the mail when in actual fact nothing is in the mail. I would like to request that the site be investigated as a scam.
I hope you read this before you even open the website. If you do open it and type in your credit card information looking for information only and with no intention of joining, then you will be charged $149.95 for what I still don't know. There is no cancelling. You will get only a form message in return for your attempt to cancel. Stay away from this site unless you like giving your money to scammers.
Bidsauce is the most horrible site on the web. They have owed me money for the last 6 weeks and continually lie about the fact that they need to send me an email to receive the refund. I receive every one of their advertisements but can't seen to get their email. If you call them, they can't even answer their phone. This is a total scam!
Answer: I have been using penny auction sites for some time now. I do not work for a penny auction site, and am therefore not affiliated with them. I am a residential loan officer. I am a member of bid sauce. I just read a good majority of the complaints on here and wanted to make some general observations. 1. To the people who feel scammed by making a $149 purchase. Get over it. It clearly states on the site what you are purchasing. Once you have registered on the site, you could hit backspace, or go to the homepage without buying bids, and could purchase them at a later time if you chose. It even gives you several options of what size of the bidpack you desired to buy. It then asks for your credit card information to pay for the TOTAL that is directly in front of you. If you feel duped, because of that, then you are an idiot. You selected a product, they gave you a total, and you gave them your credit card number to purchase the item... Is it really that difficult to comprehend? 2. To those of you who couldn't understand how penny auctions work. Ever heard of doing a little research prior to? Everyone that knows anything about the basics of penny auctions knows that you purchase your bids prior to, and then use those bids to bid on items. If you win the item, then you pay for the "winning bid amount". This goes for any site... (Quibids, BidCactus, Arrowoutlet etc.) It's REALLY not BidSauce's problem that you haven't done your homework. Don't be an idiot. Do your research! 3. Shipping related issues: This one I am unsure of, and could warrant a valid claim. I recently won my first gift cards from the site, so I can't comment as to whether or not they honor their wins. From reading your posts, it appears that the site has been up and running for a good while, so I'm assuming that they would either A.) Have to be honoring their wins to stay in business that long or B.) Have been repeatedly ripping customers off for the entire time, which would baffle me to think that they have managed to escape being shut down all this time. Can anyone post anything about having actually received items they won? I'd be curious if they are just slow on their shipping, or are honestly ripping people off... I hope you don't take my comments the wrong way! I know many of you are frustrated, just a personal observation:) Marshall
