Definitely a site to avoid. I 'won' an auction on this site, and it's been over three months since I won the item, and the only thing I've gotten so far are excuses and outright lies from their customer service department.
I really liked the website and was so excited I won for the first time. Its been now been a little over 4 weeks and I have yet to recieve my prize ($50 gift certificate). I did contact them by email and they sent me a fedex link with a tracking number, however, when I check the status of my order on the fedex website w/the tracking number they had in the email I get, "Not Found. No information for the following shipments/FedEx Office orders has been received by our system yet. Please try again later or contact Customer Service." I guess this was a $30 dollar lesson learned! Be careful!
STAY AWAY - they do not deliver your goods. I won stuff in June and they still have not sent me anything even though I have emailed them several times. Even if they do deliver - 5 months? They take your money right away but apparently are unable to mail gift cards - really? Is it that hard?
I have never went on-line to review a site. I am doing this just to make sure that not one more person gets screwed. I won 3 Gift Cards and a Web Cam and its been almost 7 weeks and have not recieved anything. I called a month ago and they said they were backed up and that it would be christmas. I said why don't you let people know that it takes 2-3 months to get their items? They also charged me the 149.00 and I never knew I was being charged like a few others have indicated. They said they would refund 40 bucks. That was 2 months ago and I have never recieved it.
Stay away from this site, total rip off. Tomorrow, I will be calling the California Attorney General and logging a formal complaint.
This site is garbage. For one thing, there's no option in the "my account" page of their site for closing your account. I found that when bidding, when it gets close, the time limit keeps extending, milking every last $. 75 it can out of bidders. In my case, even though the bidding was still ongoing & the limit hadn't been met, the bidding link simply disappeared. Bidsauce is crap.
I am pretty sure all of a sudden, they are using something to drive the prices up, all these "new people" you see always bid exactly the same and bid around 3-5 seconds before the end. Let me know if anyone else notices a difference now. Bidsauce you are going to lose alot of loyal bidders if you start pulling this kind of scam.
Complete, total, 100% RIPOFF, I won a tv in November of *******. Paid shipping, etc.
They kept giving all kinds of excuses and finally booted me from contacting them.
Run from these A--holes.
I registered for the site for free. Once there i choose a 45 dollar bid package and started bidding but when i checked my account page they signed me up for a 149 package. I sent them two emails to have it corrected because i was only trying out the site i never received a response. I then called and only got an automated system. So i tried to speak to some thru their automated chat and the person there only tried to sell me more bids. I am reporting them to my bank as fraud since i can't get any help from them.
I won 2 bids from this sight 11-19-10 and i am still trying to collect my winnings.
They blame a third party for the problem. They are still auctioning off the same things i won, but no payment is being made to old customers. They say 2 weeks is how long it takes to process a winning. After talking to them for third time they now claim they have no date as payment from third party is slow in coming.
STAY AWAY < this is not a place that hit a ruff patch and is trying to correct it.
I as well as the other reviews I have seen feel cheated! I did not have a chance to actually say yes I want to purchase the bids, once I put in my card info it immediately charged me 150.00. So I bid and yes I also won a 50.00 gift card... so far 3 weeks no sight of the card. I will dispute the charges on my credit card. I suggest others do the same... if nothing else it will make them uneasy and possibly lose their right to take credit cards.
Unclear info about how the site works, does not allow you to register for "guaranteed wins" when you attempt to click on it. Wish I had read the blogs first! I never would have been suckered into it.
:(
I went to sign up and noticed right away that there was no other choice for a bidbox than the $89.95, even though there were much cheaper options advertised. Buyer beware, that $89.95 charge is there, but it is tiny and on the registration page right above where you enter your credit card info. There is no mention of a $149.00 charge, like others have mentioned here. When you try to leave the registration page, the site won't let you- that is ALWAYS a sign of a scam.
I did not enter my card info, but I did enter my e-mail info. Hopefully my spam filter will keep them from blasting me with useless e-mails. I'm glad I listened to my intuition, especially after finding site jabber. I did my research about bidsauce, and found almost nothing but glowing reviews- it took some fancy wording in a search engine to find site jabber.
I purchased SW airline voucher almost 3 years ago and have put in NUMEROUS tickets asking why they do not send me my vouchers or refund my money. They either do not respond or they say they are waiting for the vouchers. This company is a SCAM! DO NOT BID ON ANYTHING WITH BIDSAUCE. THIS IS A WARNING.
I ordered from BidSauce over 5 months ago. I have contacted them several times and still have not received my merchandise. They were quick to take my money, but not to deliver. I recently went on BidSurfer.com and won several auctions. This is a brand new site and isn't running 24/7, but they actually deliver! I had my stuff 2 days after I paid! Yes, I said it. TWO DAYS! I am so mad at Bidsauce because I spent a lot of money and have not received anything. All my business now belongs at BidSurfer! They say the more that register, the sooner they will be able to run 24/7. Screw BidSauce, come join me at BidSurfer!
I had placed and won bids on "www.Bidsauce.com" I have a lot ot winnings but it has been since July and is going on three months and still have not sent my winnings. Not one. I am very upset about this. Please be careful before joing www.bidsauce.com. I have a feeling that they are going out of business. Be careful. Let the buyer beware.
I don't like typing or even using the computer to do much except craigslist and ebay ect $#*! like that. I overheard about bidsauce being great and all this other bull$#*! so i tried it. I don't know why they call it penny auctions anyway when your spending one dollar every bid then if you win u still gota pay for the amount it went up to on the bidding and for shipping. BUT THE BEST PART IS I NEVER GOT $#*! AND I WON A 50$ GIFT CARD AND A FLIP CAMCORDER I'M SAYING THIS WAS OVER 2 MONTHS AGO AND I CANT DO $#*! ABOUT IT JUST LOST OVER 300$ DON'T DO IT I WISH I WOULD HAVE LOOKED INTO THIS CLOSER SUCKS GETTING TAKIN FOR A FOOL< $#*!IN $#*!S
After reading what the others wrote, I wanted to help also by sharing my thoughts. After signing up with bidsauce (but not buying anything yet) the confirmation email said to click on a link that went to a sight called "Tiny URL." I stopped everything right there: 1) because the Tiny URL site has caused me trouble before and, 2) a confirmation link should lead back to the original site.
Also, Marya K., if you are in fact a real person, then I apologize. But I suspect Marya K. Is a plant. I look out for things like that one opinion sites; reviews that are written too well and sound just a little too much like commercials. The average person doesn't really talk like that. = /
But thank you all for your reviews.
I was charged $149.00 to join the bidding community. I won 4 bids valued at $200.00 and was charged shipping amounting to about $30.00. Three months passed and never received my items. Every time I called, they told me my items (gift cards) were on back order and would be shipped soon. I ended talking to a manager who told me I could not get a refund because it was a binding contract. I told him the contract is null and void since I haven't received my item... the contract states I will receive my items... and as far as I was concerned he is in violation of the contract. Four months later, I disputed the charges with my credit card company as ITEM NOT RECEIVED. And got my $149.00 and my shipping charges with the finance charges back from the credit card company. Bid Sauce is a SCAM. BE SMART... don't let them scam you.
Scams don't work against smart people. It's the stupid ones that keep hoping to get something for nothing that keep scammers in business. Do you really believe that there are people out there just waiting to give you money? You truly believe that if you sign up and "win" you will get more than you paid for? It's not the scammer's fault that people get ripped off, it's the people trying to get something for nothing who do it to themselves!
Answer: I have been using penny auction sites for some time now. I do not work for a penny auction site, and am therefore not affiliated with them. I am a residential loan officer. I am a member of bid sauce. I just read a good majority of the complaints on here and wanted to make some general observations. 1. To the people who feel scammed by making a $149 purchase. Get over it. It clearly states on the site what you are purchasing. Once you have registered on the site, you could hit backspace, or go to the homepage without buying bids, and could purchase them at a later time if you chose. It even gives you several options of what size of the bidpack you desired to buy. It then asks for your credit card information to pay for the TOTAL that is directly in front of you. If you feel duped, because of that, then you are an idiot. You selected a product, they gave you a total, and you gave them your credit card number to purchase the item... Is it really that difficult to comprehend? 2. To those of you who couldn't understand how penny auctions work. Ever heard of doing a little research prior to? Everyone that knows anything about the basics of penny auctions knows that you purchase your bids prior to, and then use those bids to bid on items. If you win the item, then you pay for the "winning bid amount". This goes for any site... (Quibids, BidCactus, Arrowoutlet etc.) It's REALLY not BidSauce's problem that you haven't done your homework. Don't be an idiot. Do your research! 3. Shipping related issues: This one I am unsure of, and could warrant a valid claim. I recently won my first gift cards from the site, so I can't comment as to whether or not they honor their wins. From reading your posts, it appears that the site has been up and running for a good while, so I'm assuming that they would either A.) Have to be honoring their wins to stay in business that long or B.) Have been repeatedly ripping customers off for the entire time, which would baffle me to think that they have managed to escape being shut down all this time. Can anyone post anything about having actually received items they won? I'd be curious if they are just slow on their shipping, or are honestly ripping people off... I hope you don't take my comments the wrong way! I know many of you are frustrated, just a personal observation:) Marshall
