Same thing with Katy
September 5, 2013

Same thing with Katy. Email was Katy Taylor <*******@yahoo.com>

Hello Someone just purched this from me, but I can tell you where I got it from.
I just got 4 of these from here retailbidcacts.com and I resold them for some extra money.
The trick is to watch for bidding to slow down and then jump in. That's what I do and I win all the time.

All the best
Katy

There are only a small amount of items (l0 maybe?). They ran my debit card twice and said it was not a valid CVV (# on back, I beleve), but the $ was taken out of my account immediately and I did not receive any bid coins (?) that day. Mmmmm...

Don't waste your money as I did. I wasted $75 to purchase "bids" on auctions that were phony -- the website has autobots that will outbid you no matter what. Just start up the website and observe for yourself -- there are certain usernames that always outbid the legitmate bidders that bid at the last minute (as they should). They always rebid after the auction restarts, and then wait for the suckers to bid. Take it from me, do not waste your money. I now have to beg my Paypal account to not honor the charges.

Yesterday I watched the bidding for a Bose Wave retailed at $499. One bidder named richkid instantly raised every bid until he won it at $24.41. That is $1830. 75 of total bids. He made 1221 bids totaling $915.75 for a $499 item. What or who bids twice the retail of an item unless it is robo bidding?

BEWARE: It's a SCAM!
September 8, 2013

BEWARE: It's a SCAM!
The email I received after I replied to a post on Craigslist seemed suspicious so I did some research. This is the email I was sent:
"Hello Someone just bought this from me, but I can tell you where I got it from. I just got 4 of these from here cactusauction.com and I resold them for some extra money. The trick is to watch for bidding to slow down and then jump in. That's what I do and I win all the time.

SCAM SCAM SCAM This site is one of the worst scams I have ever witnessed - the few people on here summed it up best - they have to have fake shill bidders on there or bot bidders who just swindle the real people. I saw one moron pay close to $350 dollars for $100 toys r us gift card! Total waste of $39.99 and when you realize youve been had and want a refund? No dice, they don't give refunds. This site needs to be SHUT DOWN, and the crooks who run it need to be dealt with legally, because in my opinion this is very clever cyber THEFT...

After careful review and reading. This is not a site you want to purchase from. What is even more astounding is that they have a BBB logo. Guys don't waste your time and money and if you have been scammed please contact the BBB since they can help to resolve this and maybe recover some of your lost funds the BBB is on the net and can only help you if you let them know what is going on. Srry guys I had high hopes too.

There was an auction for 100$ Visa Card and a User named "PoorMax" was bidding from 3$ till 36$ while I'm typing this review (auction was still running). User has easily crossed more than 1500bids which amounts to 1200$ worth of bids for a 100$ giftcard. So clearly it is autobid from BIDCACTUS. No one in the hell would bid like that. Please stay away from this website.

It started by I answered an ad on Criagslist for a Apple 4gs cell phone. My wife also answered the ad and got the same message.

I received an email saying: Hi,

Someone just bought this from me, but I can tell you where I got it from. I just purchased 3 of these from pennyrights.com and I resold them on craigslist for some extra money. The trick is to watch for bidding to slow down and then jump in. That's what I do and I win all the time.

Once I signed up for $79.00 which came out of my paypal.com account. I recieved bids for bidding on a Apple 4GS cell phone and other merchandise. The bids went fast trying to buy the cell phone and I didn't win. I took another $75.00 out from paypal.com to pay bidcactus for more bidding chances. That went faster. I found out buying bids to bid on merchandise and electronics, I could have been bidding against bidcactus.com?

I consider myself among the lucky because I did not lose any money on this site. I read the reviews here before I registered and bid... The reason I am reviewing a site I never actually bidded on, but did visit and watch for a bit is:
I put an ad on Craigslist and got a response telling me they wanted to trade. The guy told me he owned this website and that he wanted me to bid on an item and he would give it to me. He gave me a promo code for 10 free bids, and asked me to register, he told me some people thought it was addicting, he probably hoped I would as well. Or maybe they just want some fresh blood and new screen names to appear on their site.
This seems like a scammers way of advertising and I feel he would have not given me anything or taken my junk off my hands... I am reporting this guy to Criagslist as well. I hope they get shut down...
The scammers are smart, but I am smarter.

Very much a scam that I got sucked into. Great work Nicole. I decided to watch all day and into the night once and the same bidders were bidding over and over all day and way into the night and when I finally go to bed around 3a.m. Then get up to find the same ones still bidding and winning most of them well if it smells like a rat then it prolly is because I can't see staying up 24-7 bidding on the same products over and over. I have seen the going going but you couldn't click on the bid button before it said gone and the same one that had just won one minute before was now winning another one. Certainly looks like bots and looks like a few employees posting here to deny it. Wish I had found this site first to save my money

The whole deal with this site is a total rip off. It should be shut down!
Too many people bidding on almost nothing with just about no chance of winning anything.

SCAM!
January 8, 2010

SCAM! Supposedly, you are only allowed 3 wins per month. I watched for 48 hours, at different times per day. Certain (bidder) user names kept popping up, ie; motiger, richboy, lexuslady, sneakybidder, etc., during a 48 hour period. A few won more than three items in the 48 hour period that I observed the auctions. That alone tells you something... They have computer bots that bid against you at the last minute.

I'm going to contact the BBB in CT and try to get my money back

Same as alot of the others above. Of course I started the registration process but stopped when I saw the 79.00 bid in. Was looking for a macbook pro on CL & emailed the person. Glad I stopped and took a look before sinking funds into a lost cause bait and switch.

Like the reviews I have read I had to try it myself. I just lost $168 in bids that is over225 bids that I bid at the going going gone moment only to be outbid by the same bidders. I watched carnut whatever his numer was at the end bid over 85 times on a 75 bid package. There are always tons of fools just like myself who get suckered into parting with thier money hoping to be the lucky one. I am asking you to please reconsider before you would waste youur money on one of these penny auction sites.

I got scammed from craigslist also. Was looking for a dryer. Anyhow I was gullable and joined. My 1st day on I won an aution for a Nintendo 3ds. After that I continually got into bid wars for bid packages by 2-3 people jacking prices of bid packs.
After 3 weeks of asking where my 3ds was and being told there is a disruption in supply, be patient, I sent letters demanding return of all funds. I was told basically to go diddle myself by bidcactus.com staff. I filed complaint with paypal and got every penny back. YOU HAVE TO FILE CLAIM FOR NOT RECIEVING ITEM ON EVERY PURCHASE! Bidcactus.com will not reply to paypal request for information and they will decide in your favor. I had my refund in 2 days after they failed to reply. I hope this helps and EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN BURNED GETS THEIR MONEY BACK. SHUT THESE CROOKS DOWN!
