I love the concept of this company, but the deliveries left something to be desired. The first one had been put into the shipping envelope so that the book cover was stuck to the envelope glue. Couldn't remove it without teartng the book cover. The second shipment came with $11 COD when they claim free shipping. Don't mind paying for shipping, but having to go to the post office in the midst of COVID19 lockdown was not appreciated. If I'm going to pay for shipping it's much easier to take care of it at the time of purchase.
Delayed delivery was a problem. Will not purchase fromBWB again. Love your mission but require efficiency.

I was very much pleased with my order. Sometimes I get interested in one writer, but I don't want to spend a small fortune buying all of his/her past publications. This is a great place to buy books that I intend to read once, and pass on to someone else. Condition of a book is not my main concern, but all ten books I ordered were in very good to excellent condition. Delivery was more prompt than I expected.
My package was lost in the mail for over a month. They refunded me as soon as I contacted them. They shipped my package quickly and have great prices!

I came across an article a friend posted on Facebook about alternatives to using Amazon, which I often used to buy books in the past. I've tried several of the sites suggested, but so far, Better World is the best.
The prices are unbeatable, even by Amazon in many cases. Many used books are listed at $3.98 or thereabouts, and there is always a sale or promotion going on, so you can get some amazing deals.
The selection is excellent as well. Delivery is reasonably fast (I suspect it would be even quicker without the complications caused by the pandemic).
Probably the only thing I'm not crazy about is that many items don't include a picture, or don't match the actual item being purchased. Book covers are important to me and I like to know exactly what I'm getting.
That's about all. I've shared the URL with friends on my Facebook page. They probably think I'm being paid by Better World for publicity, know matter how much I deny it.
The book was promoted as used like new. It was more like used dug out of a trash bin. And that is exactly where it went after I opened the packaging. Dirty, dog eared, and broken spine.
If this was an example of used like new I shudder to think of what good or fair conditioned books would be like.
