I usually have to write bad reviews these days so when I had a great experience with beenverified.com I knew I needed to give them a good review. I used the website to find a name to go along with a cell phone number. Got the name in seconds. I needed to talk to customer service afterwards and they helped with my problem the FIRST time. This never happens. Businesses always make customers jump through hoops to get the answer they need. I emailed them once and they came back with the answer I was looking for within hours. Exceptional.

Not worth your money. It's amalgamated google info, you still have 4 or 5 possible people attached to a phone on reverse phone look up, and there are no active phone numbers for Beenverified company. Their website number link is not in service. Poor business quality. Rip off.

This is bordering scam…It's not free. Though You are required to provide your info to them (free of charge), they provide you nothing without payment…After you submit your info it takes you to a payment page
& can go no further without paying their fees$$$

No info on married or divorced, one person had no arrest listed even though I had them arrested, no pictures of people on facebook etc... Do not renew You are not worth $10. After posting this beenverified said they listed all public information. I had previously emailed them a copy off the internet showing one persons booking arrest photo. If they can't find a marriage record and I can I should get their $10. No matter what they reply it is just psycho babble.

You are correct that we do not provide marriage or divorce records. However we do provide criminal records, whenever available. There are differences from county to county regarding that records they make available for aggregation into our database and integration into our reports. I chose this site to try to find my best friend from high school. We graduated in 1971. The listing given for his phone number was the same land line he had 45 years ago. They listed non existent or dead relatives, no useful information for the present day. Out of curiosity I ran reports on myself and my 5 siblings. The information provided was so off base and out of date! Many of the contacts they listed were deceased or in no way connected to any of us. They listed relatives who weren't and telephone numbers that none of us had ever used. The only comforting thing is that if any of us has a stalker and he uses this site to find us, we will be pretty safe. They did not refund my money but did immediately cancel my membership when I asked. I truly don't understand what value can be gained from this site. Much of the information that could be valuable was not available without an additional fee, though given the quality of free information provided perhaps the paid info is no better. I was terribly disappointed. Customer service defends the product by stating that they can only provide information generally available from public records, so I would suggest that if you have more time than money you start there.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use this site if you need accurate, up to date information. Just don't.

It is correct that the data in our reports comes from public records and publicly available data. We work to pull in the data from the various sources of public records into one easy to read report. However, we are dependent upon the accuracy of public records, which can vary greatly depending on where the individual has resided, how they have interacted with the agencies that collect public data, and more. We are constantly updating and expanding our database which is why we provide our Monitoring feature. This allows you to monitor reports and be notified as soon as any information changes in a report: a new address, phone number, even court record.

Could not find anybody I was looking for and then I tried looking for people I knew and myself and could not even find myself or the self of me I did find showed me in all kinds of places that I never have been

(Couple of hours later: in answer to a note about my experience, beenverified.com refunded the one month charge. Very decent behavior.)

Today, I used www.beenverified.com for examination of a person proposing a service to me and my family. The search turned up scanty information, perhaps a reflection of the person and claims about the person's business experience. Then I looked at my own information and found a hodge podge of mostly useless material. For example, the site merged me with one of my brothers, without complete information for either one of us. I regard today's one month membership purchase as a waste of $22.

Attempted to sign up for the site. Sign up gave an error. Tried a couple more times, still no luck. Contacted customer service. They said it was my CC company blocking. CC company said not them. Contacted Been verfied again, and now it was I attempted too many times, and to wait 24 hrs. Waited, same story. BV has no idea what they are doing, and make excuses for problems with their system. It's not them. They swear. Stay away... or best of luck to you

There are other sites that provide the same type of reporting.. Do a search.. and save a headache

I like the company's format and the customer service is very good, BUT the info was terrible and very seldom correct. Lots of mistake on info on both side.one wrong info And two alot of info missing.

Virtually useless to me. Was looking for criminal records and could fine NONE. I looked at people I know who have them and still none to be found... even someone who did time in fed penn. I called company who claimed they would be posted if digitalized. Apparently this is rare. Also looked at someone in FL. Then randomly changed state and he popped up again! Sort of felt like scam

After going through the lengthy sign-up process I was so happy to finally get to the "Get Report".

Error: "Your zip code is incorrect". What? I've used this card for years to shop AND I've lived in the same place forever. I retype the Zip and submit again.

Error: "Your card is declined for insufficent funds." What? You mean you took the funds off the first time when the Zip code was supposedly incorrect? Isn't that the whole point of matching zips so you DON'T take money when things don't match. Thank goodness I only had enough on the card for one month or you would have taken two.

And worst of all, now you have my money but are not giving me access to that report I wanted so badly. I should have read reviews first.

I called customer service immediately and got a lackluster "check with your bank/our credit card processing is done by 3rd party/nothing we can do/you'll get your money back within 7 days/ if you want you can try another card."

I replied that I wanted the glitch in the system reported so that maybe other people won't have to be inconvenienced like I am. Take my money, but don't provide the service. There's a word for that...

Tip for consumers:
Any site that takes your money for a week, but won't give you the report because your zip code didn't match...needs to REVISE their business practices. Unless they publicly announce that they have, I won't be using them.

I'm sorry to hear you had trouble signing up. When you select a subscription type, enter your billing information and click to create your account, your card is authorized for the amount of the plan you selected. If your sign-up doesn't go through, because there is an issue with the information you entered, then the card is only authorized and that amount is not processed as a charge. Its my understanding that different financial institutions handle authorizations differently. Authorizations automatically expire and drop off of your statement, we didn't collect funds from you that we can refund. However, depending on your bank, it can take a few business days for the expired authorization to be reflected on your statement. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. We have many systems in place to help ensure that only the authorized cardholder is signing up for the service. Sometimes this can make the sign-up process somewhat frustrating if a small mistake is made at any point in the process. This is for the cardholder's protection.

I joined a few days ago but in less than half an hour I was trying to cancel. The information was not there on the people I was researching. I found out more on google than there site offered! 2 of the people I searched had known criminal backgrounds and there company came up clean background. I was charged for the month anyway! I want a refund!

I tried the site after seeing the TV ad. Got some good results on a few people, then started geting out-of-date info. I back checked myself and found my "current" address as a place in another state at which I had not lived since 1992! I've tried to correct it twice (I've moved FIVE times since then), with no results. It lists my parents as alive, and they both died in 2007! When my contract expires, I'm not renewing.

Was using BeenVerified to find addresses for people who had moved so we could transfer their records. Today was the second time that the site was down. I am limited to a 6-7am window, Monday thru Friday. When the site is up, it has very reliable information, as only one in 450 names has come back. It is a matter of knowing how to use the tools within the site.

The criminal check on BeenVerified doesn't provide the tools necessary to understand the reason somebody was arrested, whether or not they are guilty, and whether or not they went to jail. It only indicates what they were charged with. It doesn't even list the date or the location (city-county-state) information. Thus, I would not recommend it for background checks.

I would recommend it if you know the person's age and full name, and you want to know where they live and what phone number they are at, as the site provides the month/year when this data was last mined
