Back to the Roots is a beautiful company with a small dedicated team. We love our Back to the Roots Lavender Grow Kit. Everything was provided to grow our wonderful, healthy lavender plants. They are excellent at communication and care very much that their customers are happy. We give Back to the Roots all 10+'s and all "green" thumbs UP!
Just out of hospital when I went to cash in on my free kit but little did I know there was no seeds in the box. Customer service for this company is very rude. So not worth my time and money one of these planter kits maybe nice and cute but by the time you buy a plant and one of their grow kits you spending over $40. I only had so much money from a gift card which means I can only get a plant through Walmart, well rebate they give for a plant is $5 but then I had to pay shipping planted ended up being $11 so not worth the time or money. Now because of their rude service I'll just get a mason jar, my own small plant and string which now I realize is way cheaper.
Got the pearl oyster grow kit from them. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I was able to get a great harvest of mushrooms around the expected time of 10 days. I'm looking forward to attempting to grow a second crop with this kit.
This would be a great gift for older kids who are interested in the world of natural sciences.
My only complaint is that once the mushrooms start to get growing, the box tends to lean forward and you could risk damaging your crop. I would like to see a redesigned box to support the weight of the crop.
This seed starting medium is advertised as "organic". The only organic thing about it is that it is full of chopped bark. As a result it is impossible to put in seeds with any hope of them germinating and rooting properly. I was unable to return the product to Walmart as I live 1 hr. Away. Therefore, I had to sift the product in order to get a suitable planting medium. I've contacted company via FB they have yet to respond, also the email company provides is not valid. So, save your money an DO NOT purchase this product.
I followed the instructions and nothing ever sprouted! When I opened the first seed packet, the seeds were moldy and I contacted the company. They sent me a replacement pack. Not one of the 3 herb cans worked... not even one sprout, let alone herbs. I have been growing herbs for years but this product is terrible. Does not work - do not waste your money!
Be aware that this company charges without warning if you subscribe and will not cancel if you need. If you enjoy fresh food and like the idea of growing things but have never bothered to spend the time, Back to the Roots is definitely for you. They have little kits where you can grow mushrooms, cilantro, basil and more. It's really neat and healthy too!
No growth after following exact instructions. One stem grew and then died. Very unhappy with a result
Answer: No I cannot. The tomatoes has been the closest to success we've had. Our fish died in our water garden and the seeds just molded and roots, if lucky, barely make it into water which is supposed to keep water clean. The basil, cilantro and mint barely even sprouted then waht did sprout barely grew before dying.
Answer: Back to the roots only offers a cht bot on their site or an email address for all contact. Also be aware if you subscribe they will charge and ship before you even get an email letting you know you've already been charged and you cannot cancel only wait and reship back which if you paid shipping you will not get back of coursw.
