Just a warning to my fellow consumers, Do Not Waste Your Money buying from Back Market! I bought a reconditioned cell phone they promised would work like new and it was defective. I could not make calls most of the time and when I did, I couldn't hear the other caller. It cost me $35 to activate it and another $35 to reactivate my old phone so I am out $70 in activation fees. Incredibly, Back Market and that scam company TekReplay they represent refuse to repay me the $70. Stick to Amazon. They sell quality products and back up their customers when there is a rare problem.
I paid for an UNLOCKED Google Pixel 4a 5g at backmarket.com, But I received one that was locked to Xfinity Mobile. Xfinity would not unlock the phone unless I was a customer. They were the only ones that could unlock this device but would not. So I sent it back. I sent it back and now I'm waiting for my refund. Don't put yourself though this. Just buy direct from the dealer.

I purchased 2 phones they only shipped one, only way to contact them by e-mail no customer service number, when i got thru with them they claim they shipped both phones in the same box, the box is small and only fits one, I paid $1044. 00 for 2 phones only got one, and the sellers response was to call USPS for my phone, they take your money they dont ship the product and they have no phone number to call them, byer beware stay away from this company, their crooks.

I am very skeptical when it comes to buying refurbished items, but Backmarket has changed that. They have great phones based on the standard you've purchased as I would always buy good to mint. They have a very good customer service team and also there 12 month warranty that comes with the phone is a plus and comfort to know they still have your back after the purchase. My 14 year old really wanted a new Apple iphone, but I didn't want to purchase a new iphone or the refurbished from the Apple Store. Back Market has so many great reviews so I took my chances and bought my daughter the iPhone XR 64GB. I'm really glad I did. It arrived sooner than expected and in the condition advertised. I couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase through backmarket! I've needed a fully functional phone for a couple years. I wanted to look for used phones since I didn't need the latest and greatest, but the complications of buying from individuals kept me from shopping that route. I am so happy to have found backmarket! I know I sound like I've been paid for this review, but I haven't, unfortunately. In addition to the idea of a smaller footprint, they offer amazing prices; you get what they promise (and in my case, more), there's a year warranty and the customer service is outstanding! I know I'll be checking backmarket before I purchase any electronics.

Frankly, this is the first time I've heard of a $35 fee from Metro/T-Mobile for switching devices. I highly recommend reaching out to them at 1 (888) 863-8768 and seeing exactly why you were charged. T-Mobile's Customer Service team is known for being very helpful.
