I have had no issues at this school. I do not always like my teachers, as many of them dock points for grammatical errors while their lessons are FULL of misspellings, missing words, etc. Many instructors are inactive, but I do not care about that. I am taking online classes to quickly earn a degree that will help me get more job opportunities. I'm not looking to become a doctor or something. Where I live, a Bachelors is necessary for almost any job paying above minimum wage. This school will help me achieve that. I absolutely hate having to write 10 page papers for every class, every eight weeks. Especially since I take multiple classes at once and have a full life outside of school. I can't wait to be out of school so I never have to write another paper again.
Did my bachelors at APU and had an avg experience, mostly just taught myself with little direct instruction from the instructors. Stayed at APU for my masters since I was familiar with the format. Horrible experience! Had some personal emergencies pop up with a 2-month premature baby arrival, wife needing surgery that took her off her feet for a month, and my live in 70-yr mom had two heart surgeries. This all happened within a 30 day span. I appealed to the instructors, but they just kept marking my stuff late without any regard to my new time limitations. I had to do an official extension and even a special extension, with one special extension being denied. When I got some of the assignments in before the extension deadlines, the instructors refused to even grade them saying that they needed them on certain dates within the extension window. Screwed up my GPA & had to pay back my job for 1 course. I'm transferring to another college and I'm done with merciless robots as teachers.
Please be aware, it's not $0 out of pocket for graduate students, as advertised. It will cost $85 per class out of pocket for their "technology fee". This is very poorly advertised, but they will charge you out of pocket for this, and it's super frustrating as no one tells you until you enroll in the classes. Ensure you're cognizant of this when selecting universities. I wish I would've been!
Your money is paying for access to power points. There are no lectures. Just power points and reading. Teachers aren't really teachers, just pros in their field (allegedly). I hope you like writing. You will have to write an essay every $#*!ing week and then research papers on top of it. I AM SO $#*!ING TIRED OF WRITING PAPERS. You do not get your monies worth. You are literally paying for access to power points that could be summed up in a $#*!ing YouTube video. DO NOT DO IT.

Instructor FiFi selects students to elevate and others to suppress. Even though my assigned APA style essays and papers were correct, this instructor choose the grades she thought each student should receive. She showed favoritism to the students with European names and scam points of students without European names. This school and its instructors are biased towards students. This is not only insulting it is illegal and requires legal action.
I found most courses to be pretty easy to get through but when I ran into issues with how quizzes were graded from a Mr. William Whitley who is an instructor that won't allow anyone to see what they get incorrect or correct for that matter on their tests. I complained and absolutely no one would help find a solution. I was treated like a student and with no regard. I followed all the procedures to make my complaint but heard nothing back. I know from personal experience that seeing incorrect answers on homework and tests helps me to understand where I went wrong and what I need to either review again or change. Sometimes, most of the time, it's an error due to how the system wants to see the number vs an actual incorrect answer. I would recommend finding a school that is much more focused on teaching their students rather than just whizzing them through the courses, good, bad or indifferent.
OVERALL MY EXPERIENCE WITH APUS is fair. THE DISTURBING PART IS THAT Academic advisors WANTED ME TO CHECK IN WITH THEM WEEKLY. Why? If I have a 3.0 GPA. I should only had to checkin when register new courses. Therefore this problem was disputed never resolved.

One warning- the school is regionally but not ABET accredited.
Second issue- when requesting document such as diplomas expect 8 weeks for them to just get it out of their office. Expect another 2 months to receive it by mail if you live out of country. All of my other universities can get documents to me in 2 weeks and not 4 months. Severe lack of professionalism.
