I kept having to keep sending them money to fix a sub zero appliance. They kept saying board is on back order. After a year of nothing, I said I want my money back and they said I would lose a large % of my deposit. I accepted and then I had to sign a paper first. They never called or sent money with me calling them many times. Here we are years later and lost a lot of money and nothing returned. Stay far away from this company. They fully scammed me. I wish I would have read reviews before calling them.
The repair man told me confidently its the mother board I agree to the $285 and 30 mins later if that its the compressor $1500 and they won't refund any of the $285.00. Customer services when i call to discuss said your not getting anything back from us period!
ZERO STARS. How is this business still in business. They are one big scam. I have a fridge that was not cooling properly. They told me it would be $80+tax for the service call and when they got to my place they said it would another $275 + tax to get it diagnosed. I asked how long it will be all together to fix and repair and repair man said 1/2 hour. So, $275 + tax for 30 minutes of work. What a rip off. I didn't pay and they said it will go to the collection agency. Customer service is terrible and they don't care. Do not trust this company. I wish I read these reviews before I called them. I'm out $90 and they did absolutely nothing. The $275 + tax doesn't even include parts. It is like giving them and open check. I called a couple other places and they said they will tell me what is needed and what is wrong which is included in the service call price. My experience is like every one else. One big nightmare. I feel bad for ones that were scammed out of even more money.
First I was quoted $80 for the tech to come over. But then I was told to I have to pay $300 before he looked at it. Their website stats they take credit cards and that is not true. I had to e-transfer the money. Then he tells me that my fridge is a good make and that the new once's are garbage therefore it's worth repairing. I was told that the part would cost over $1000.00 and I trusted him and said yes to the part. I paid $500 for the deposit and was told the part would be installed in 5 days. No part arrived and I canceled the order after reading the reviews on line. It seems that they scam ppl. I was told in an email that I would get my deposit back. It's been 8 weeks and no cheque. They said it was mailed out 2 weeks ago. They don't have a physical office, the address online is fake.
Good morning.yesterday a technician came to my house to fix the dishwasher. He was punctual, saw the machine and told me that the problem would be the central plate of the machine and that the cost would be 265$ + taxes, he guaranteed that the machine would be fixed on the same day, so I paid for ite-transfer even before he started work. In short, he pulled the machine out of the furniture, turned the machine on a series of times, opened and closed the door, but nothing else...then he told me that the problem would be the water pump motor and that the price for the new motor it would be $498, which I think is atheft because it is more expensive than a new machine... and besides, if I didn't give the answer on the same day, the cost would be added to the labor value. BRIEFLY MY OPINION IS THAT I HAVE SUFFERED FRAUD. THE PROBLEM REMAINED AND I LOST ALMOST $300
I am writing to address a concerning issue regarding the service provided by appliance repair team.
Recently, I encountered a malfunction with my dryer and sought assistance from this company. However, I was deeply disappointed by the service I received. Not only was the initial assessment hastily conducted, but the charges incurred were exorbitant compared to market rates for replacement parts. Over $1000 I have paid so far.
Furthermore, the unprofessional conduct of the technician exacerbated the situation, leading to further damage to my appliance. Additionally, the pressure to pay additional fees for warranty coverage and follow-up appointments is unacceptable. They are very big fraud company, please never use them.
Dryer had no heat Repair man said part was not made anymore He said he could fix it to last about 6 months When he left I noticed he left door open so I closed it When I did it came on with no time showing He had told me not to turn on for 4 hours When talking to manager about getting money back because no parts were involved it was no because I signed a contract I am out $316.86 They are a horrible company
I'd like to share an experience I had with a certain company. I had a scheduled appointment with them at noon yesterday, which they confirmed at 6 o'clock the previous evening. However, on the day of the appointment, they called me to reschedule, which didn't fit into my schedule. I was willing to reschedule, but they insisted on charging me a cancellation fee because it was being done on the same day. It's important to note that they were the ones who initiated the change to the schedule, not me. I was prepared to reschedule and have the technician come out, and I was willing to pay for the service. Despite this, they still insisted on charging me $80 plus tax for the same-day change. There was no mention of any charges for cancellation or rescheduling fees during my previous conversations with them. I advise others to steer clear of this company, as their business practices and customer service are subpar.
Our dishwasher was leaking. We phoned the A Team Appliance Repair Service. A technician came, misdiagnosed the source of the leak, replaced two parts unnecessarily, and charged us $832 for the repair. The machine was not repaired. It still leaked. He came back. Wrote up a new bill for another $300 for a different part. We wouldn't pay. He left. The company denies any responsibility to actually do the repair. We called a real technician who corrected the problem easily without any parts. He assured us that the parts suggested by The Appliance Repair Team could not have been responsible for the problem.
It is a complete scam. If they ever repair anything it is by accident.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are completely fraudulent. I paid $1400 to have my 3-year old Bosch dishwasher repaired and it is still not fixed. I finally had a certified Bosch technician come to assess the situation and they found that The A Team Appliance Repair had attempted to glue together a part and tie it together with string! When I spoke to The A Team about this finding, they hung up on me. I wish I had checked this site first, before using them, as this is obviously a dirty business. Not sure how these people sleep at night.

My recent encounter with this appliance company was nothing short of a nightmare. The technicians they dispatched to address issues with my oven demonstrated a level of unprofessionalism that I never thought possible.
As they attempted to repair my oven, they carelessly threw screws onto the floor, they did not have a proper container to store them. There was at least 30 screws in 4 different locations in the kitchen by the time they left. They were trying to take the top of the oven of to get the heating element (it's an electric oven), but they looked like they had no idea how to do so. They spent the majority of their time trying to find where these screws are, as if it's their first time doing it. Then, I,saw them messing up the rubber that prevents the water from seeping to the circuit. That can't be fixed easily, and that's when I decided to tell them if they know what they're doing and if they have a certificate. One of them blatantly told me "who are you to give you my certificate", what kind of unprofessionalism is this? That's when I told them to leave, and they left my oven unfixed, open, with the screws all over the floor, and ruined the rubber. Worst experience with a technician ever.
I contacted this company because my washer was malfunctioning. The technician came and said he could fix it by checking and replacing the main board, the electrical wiring, and the watering system. He quoted me $295 for the labour and estimated the parts would cost between $350 and $400. I refused to go ahead with the repair because it was almost the same price as buying a new washer. His diagnosis of an electrical problem was clearly wrong. The $80 fee for the visit did not cover any testing. I was fortunate that I did not waste $750 on a useless part based on his advice. I bought a new washer for $1200 instead. A few days later, I tried the old washer and it worked fine. I called the customer service to get a refund and they were very rude, unprofessional, and ignorant. I am a genuine customer. I saw that they dismissed all the negative reviews as fake. But all the unhappy customers had similar issues.
The cost of replacement parts and labour to repair a refrigerator was 90% of purchasing a new similar model. Once I tried to cancel the following day after the service visit they tried to haggle me into accepting a 20% discount for which I was still not interested. As per the law I'm entitled to cancel the repair within 10 days but I was unable to get refunded for most of the upfront cost. No labour had been yet put into the repair, the serviceman had only made an estimate so the labour was yet to happen in the future but I was forced to pay that upfront. Given that according to their policy, labour can't be refunded I lost all money related to labour costs. Then there was restocking fees for parts. In the end I lost half of the total cost of the estimated repair. Wether it's industry standard or not I don't know but it's definitely immoral to charge for work that hasn't been done. Avoid paying anything upfront, you can't get your money back.
This company is UNETHICAL! They LIED about the quote and "service call"; what was explained by the technician is not at all what happened. The quote for parts was far inflated beyond the cost of the appliance, when we tried to cancel our money was promised to be returned if we call the next day, but the company is refusing to return the funds.
I had my washer machine repaired. They replaced the drain pump. Right after they did that, they left the damaged one and I had a chance to look it up online (the exact kind and brand). It cost $50 + $16 shipping. However, they charged me $552.94 just for the part. When I asked about this, they responded the fee also includes "warranty, shipping and installation". So basically, they are charging about $487 for 45 minutes of work (+ warranty? How does charging for warranty make sense?), without having disclosed this before I approved the job. Please save yourself the bad and costly experience and don't call these guys.
I should have researched these guys, as they were featured in CTV news (toronto.ctvnews.ca, published Thursday, April 29,2021 6:39PM EDT, titled "Ontarians Need to Research Before Booking Appliance Repairs Experts Warn"; https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/ontarians-need-to-research-before-booking-appliance-repairs-experts-warn-1.*******)
I called them for refrigerator, it had a low cooling, after spending 900$ with them, its not working at all. They are here to take money only.
I give them a negative 1000 stars.
Pls never fall victim to this company" The A Team Appliance Repair" which presumably specializes in electrical appliance service & repairs!
It's been an extremely bad experience & I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. Outrageous costs! Very unprofessional staff and technicians & they run service on a trial & error basis.
Pls, avoid them.
Hired these clowns to repair my broken dishwasher. The tech came in and claimed the problem is usually a sticky button and did I want him to proceed. I now realize this guy KNEW it was more than a sticky button...so I consented to the work only to have him tell me the dishwasher needed a whole new electronic console for almost $500 plus tax and installation. When I called to complain, the manager kept saying that I agreed and there was nothing he could (would) do. I even suggested we split the cost because the technician had to spend time and drive his car - no way. These idiots are total rip off and worst contractor I've ever hired. I will never use them again. Beware of these people.
WORSE COMANY, WORSE TECHNICIANS, WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Paid $840 for nothing, after 13 days technician said you have electrical problem, a day after we bought a new fridge working perfect without any electrical problem. This is their company trick.
