Hired Ace Kitchen for kitchen remodel. Started out fine, was told 4-6 weeks, now it's been eight and I'm told 2 more. Neither the designer or the salesman return phone calls on a timely basis, if at all. Very disappointed

I got a good source to do my garage repair, so I guess they did the job, But my phone was blowing up with almost 2 dozen leads. A bit overwhelming. If It's true that they are paid by each company they send your info to, doesn't seem appropriate. All you need is 3 or 4. Sending to 20 just increases costs to everyone, including the consumer.
I am a contractor and have spend thousands of dollars with Home Advisor now Angie's list due to many law suits, I would figure to give them another shot and yes we did get a few real good leads but also many bad leads and cant get credit for them. Recently called a lead a few times and finally got the person with number provided for the lead and I was told by the person I live in Texas dont know what your talking about. So put in a credit and was denied? I do not like or want to throw money away especially at these time. I guess thats how they make there money. Very disappointed once again. Its just time when they go through another name change.
Angie's List is a "higher-end" review site, because users actually have to pay for membership. But you get what you pay for. The reviews, given on an AF scale, are typically very well-thought out -- not a lot of that ranting and raving that's more common on free review sites
I'm a contractor through Angi Leads and it's been an uphill battle most of the way. The cost for leads is pretty high, averaging around $40. You can ask for credit if something prevents you from landing the job but good luck. Today I found out that if I receive a client, and get charged the fee automatically, and they immediately decide not to do the project anymore then I'm still in the hole that fee. I'm a new business owner and most of my charges hover between $100-$150, so removing $40-$50 from that automatically, hurts. Angi has been good for passively getting clients but that's it.
Brandon Clark, owner of Plant Marks the Pot, provided an estimate within one day of calling him. He gave a detailed estimate with great ideas for stone, mulch, and, most importantly, for types of shade perennials that would be best for our project.
He started work even sooner than he thought he could and finished the job within four days.
The result is such a huge improvement in our front yard. It's beautiful now! Many neighbors have stopped to compliment the look.
I would highly recommend Brandon and Plant Marks the Pot.
I was willing to look past the confusing sign up process and the website/app that don't really have much functionality because getting my house cleaning scheduled when I wanted it was easy. That is, until it was cancelled less than 1 hour before the "professionals" were supposed to start work. Getting a qualified person here is the whole purpose of Angi and they could not do that. You'll notice in their email response that they don't guarantee much and require 48 hours notice for themselves.
The only gripe I have is if you're not logged in, it's really difficult to just do a simple search -- instead, you're forced to go through the quote request process. Would be much better UX if you were able to search directly.
I have been working with Angie's list since they first began penetrating the NY Market. It is perhaps one of the better lead generations companies. The cost has steadily been rising each year since I began. They explain to me that cost directly corresponds to the number of members it has. I am strongly considering not renewing my contract for the 2018 season. So is it worth it? Yes if you can afford it.
Very happy with the service and the speed with which the potential contractors contacted me. My only criticism is that I find the web site to be cumbersome.
I recently decided to use Angi's List to find a contractor for some home improvement projects, and overall, it was a decent experience. The platform is easy to navigate, and I liked being able to browse through local professionals with ratings and reviews. It gave me some peace of mind knowing that I could check feedback from others who had used these services. However, the experience wasn't without its frustrations. Some of the reviews seemed a bit inconsistent, with some contractors having glowing reviews, while others had negative feedback that seemed too similar to be entirely helpful. The pricing for certain services wasn't always clear, and I felt like I had to get multiple quotes just to understand if I was being offered a competitive rate. The communication with the contractors I reached out to was also a bit hit-or-miss. While some responded promptly and were eager to discuss the project, others didn't get back to me for days. I ended up getting a great contractor in the end, but it took a lot of back-and-forth to find the right one. One major downside for me was that Angi's List has become a bit too commercialized. Now, there are a lot of upsells and added features for "premium" users that felt like they were pushing me toward paid services, even though I was just looking for basic help. In conclusion, while I did find a good contractor through the site, the process could have been smoother and less commercialized. I'd say it's a solid option for finding professionals, but it could use some improvements in the way information is presented and how user experience is prioritized.
He came in check out my problem explained to me my problem and what need to be done. What he will need to do checking to see if retail will have the parts.
They came out, gave a bid and had it done quick and did a great job no complaints and was very friendly and helpful throughout the experience and I would hire again

I WAS QUOTED 312.00 FOR DRYER REPAIR. GOOGLED PROBLEM, ABLE TO REPAIR WITH 8.00 REPLACEMENT KNOB...GLAD WE WERE NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR THE RIPOFF. I WILL REPEAT THIS RIPOFF TO EVERY ONE I KNOW WHO MENTIONED ANGI. NOT ABLE TO REPORT OVERALL RATING AS MINUS 100
I tried to find out if there were local contractors in my town or area before I signed up for emails. I don't like to give out my email address for non-useful emails. I finally found a place to search without signing up. I put in my ZIP...and, was given a list of "general contractors in [Town Name]" none of which were in my town. There's addresses or PO Boxes under each contractor name and none of the streets or box numbers are from my town.
This is deceptive & shows what may happen if I sign up with them or pay for a contractor help from them on walmart.com (for assembling a large item). I'm glad I checked before I paid the $378!
You will probably have no problem if you are from a big city, but I am from a small town. It's not worth the risk to me.
I've used angi before to higher someone for a task in NYC, but there are millions more people there & *******s more contractors.
Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
