Every single business I was connected to was extremely overpriced, even for my areas average cost it was way over the average price for my area by $175! That's $175 over the areas average cost! And I was only connected with one out of the five companies angis list recommended to me.
WORST COMPANY WITH WHOM I HAVE EVER CONTACTED! I requested some information a week ago and was considering advertising with them. After a very pleasant call with a woman, I told her that I needed a week to think about it. Since then, I was contacted at least 4-5 times and harassed about signing up. I told each rep that I needed time, and they tried to pressure me into signing immediately. On March 1,2023, I was called at 7:53am by Mike from Angie with another high pressured sales call. I said it was too early to be called and Mike said in a very sarcastic voice, "Well, what time to you start business? Why aren't you up now?" I ended the call. Mike called back at 10:30 am and began insulting me about not being up early to take his call. I informed him that I was not interested in using Angie's service and he again insulted me. I had to end the conversation and block his number.
This company uses a high pressured sales tactics and insults its customers. I have seen many reviews that say the same thing.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Angie calls new businesses and tells them a lie about how this works. After one month and not one job received they sent us a bill for 2,000! Do NOT fall for this! It's a scam. I am telling every contractor I know to leave Angie and everyone I know to not ever do any work through this company it's such a scam!
I had a pool liner installed by ANGI services over a year ago and in the process the workers broke my ladder while removing it. I reported it to customer service immediately and still have not recieved any payment or agreement to pay for the damage. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated. Why have a customer happiness guarantee if you arent going to honor it. C. Milhaupt Appleton, WI
Angi's helped me to find Tony's Sons Moving. They did a fantastic job at a great price! I would definitely use them again for future moves. And I would definitely search Angi's to find other help I might need. Thanks!
We were excited to sign up for Angi with our business. We ended up wanting to cancel our service, and was met with VERY poor customer service from the Angi "Client Success" Representatives.
I contacted them requesting to cancel and was told I would be contacted within 1-2 business days. I got no response from anyone on the team within 2 business days.
I called back and explained I wanted to cancel, no one had contacted me back and the representatives would not help me speak with someone who could cancel the subscription. I was told, again, to "just wait" for someone to call me. I understand the cancelation process may "take time", but the lack of promised communication is the issue. No help from any of the representatives. And no help from my assigned "client success" rep who is not doing her job or answering or returning calls.
Very disappointed.
Recently, I was tasked with finding a pool service company for my job. I ended up plugging my information in on a website that dropped me off with Angi.com. I never received a single pool service estimate that was offered and what I got instead was hundreds of email and spam calls. Think twice before giving your information to these folks, but they sucker you with bait websites, so you won't even know you're giving your information to them until it's too late.
Outstanding service, reasonable price, very knowledgeable tech, punctual and pleasant person deal with

Angi is dishonest. I am a contractor. Angi leads gave me a hard sell saying they needed specialists in my area. I was reluctant, but they promised that I would only receive leads during business hours when I have people available to respond to them. The sales person even said she personally set my account up to send leads only during my business hours. When literally all of my leads came in after hours, I called and learned that the feature to set hours for leads does NOT exist. This promise was an outright lie from the salesperson. In addition, the leads I received were terrible quality - more than half of them were people looking for employment. Not one lead even converted to a bid - for comparison, we convert about 50% of leads we get from other (theoretically less vetted) sources.
I called to cancel service multiple times. Each time, I was asked to give some new solution a try before I cancel - I agreed to this a couple times. When all options failed to deliver good results, I cancelled the service. Angi refused to refund my set-up fees or the cost of the leads that I had been disputing, saying too much time had elapsed. Of course, when I initially called with the issue, I was well within the cancellation and refund timeframe. In other words, they used the offer of 'solutions' as a way to drag out the timeframe and argue that they don't owe me a refund.
Beware if you are a contractor. Angi is predatory and their leads algorithm does not send qualified leads.
I was a pro on Angie's list which is getting rip off by this company because of their employees who doesn't do their job, I couldn't get any product to sell customers and I could only do service calls and I notified angis list several times that I couldn't do installs and the claim they was going to take them off so I wouldn't get install customers set to me but they didn't do it and they kept sending me install customers anyways which ran my bill up to 1300 an something with them when in a 4 months I was with them and only made 1500 with them so if I had paid I would have only made less then 200 of course now their sending me to collects over this rip off and not only that when I was with them over half of my customers I got was fake and when they give u credit for these customers u don't get credit for the full amount they charge you if customers cost u 90 dollars u would only get a credit of 28 dollars back for the fake customer I've tried speaking with them about this and they claimed they was going to take this 1300 dollars fee and reduce it down to 360 which is still a rip off when I had told them not to send me that type of work but still did so if ur a pro I'd advise you don't do it instead of them go to thumbtack their so much better they don't have fake customers and they don't rip their pros off especially if ur just starting ur business up STAY AWAY FROM ANGIE'S LIST RIPOFF COMPANY WITH WORKERS WHO DOESN'T DO THEIR JOB AND THEY DONT HELP U

Most of the requests are faked and the leads are recycled or dead leads. They won't take down fake 1 star reviews that are left by the most dishonest, unscrupulous consumers. In my opinion, they are taking advantage of companies that pay them exorbitant fees. I wish I had never had anything to do with Angi!
We're sorry to hear that your experience with our service has been anything but positive. This is not the kind of experience we would expect for you to have. We can state that the leads are sent immediately after they are being received, and are not old or recycled. If I could give negative reviews I would... Angielist charges a few hundred dollars when you sign up. Then they charge you an additional $800 dollars for who only knows what reason. Then you hey try and charge you an additional $1000 on top of that with an explanation. And if you don't pay it they suspended your account. Learned that the hard way. Why does Angielist not help people who want to start a business instead of stealing money from people that are starting a business. It's ridiculous that y'all have to lie to people just to get them to sign up with y'all. I tell you what my business was doing good before you and it's doing good without y'all... Angielist is t nothing but a bunch of lying idiots
We're so sorry to hear that your experience has been anything but positive. This is not the kind of service we would expect for you to have. Please call our Business Center at 877-947-3639 for assistance.
Constantly over charging account for leads that may or may not even be real people. Customer service is a total joke. Never speak to the same person twice and hear the same responses read from a script. Not helpful in any way. They make all their money ripping off contractors. Zero stars.

I joined home advisor and had immense success, once Angi bought it its all about the scamming now, fake leads phone numbers that go nowhere. Then when you ask for a credit its like pulling teeth.

I engaged a "contractor" from A-List only to find that he was terribly inappropriate and unskilled. 4 months later the curtain rod he installed fell down - and getting to customer service to provide some valuable insight - I couldn't understand the person on the other end as their call centre is in the Philippines. I'm all for outsourcing but at the very least let them be skilled. It was a terrible experience. Credibility is questionable.

Last month, we needed a refrigerator repair person, so we contacted Angi. First, they connected us with a CARPENTER. Obviously, he was confused. We had to contact Angi a second time and they put us in touch with an "appliance repair person". He said that the compressor was working, so it MUST BE the thermostat. We purchased a new thermostat and he came back to install it. At this time, we learned that he is a "handy man", NOT an appliance repair person. HE WAS WRONG, the refrigerator still didn't work and we PAID $209 for a "service" that did not fix our refrigerator. On our own, we finally found an actual appliance repair and he fixed our refrigerator in one hour for $175. On Angi's website, it states that they have a "HAPPINESS GUARANTEE", so my husband sent an email requesting that they refund the $209 on the repair person they connected us to that had no idea how to fix our refrigerator. No response to the email. I sent a second, very long email about the happiness guarantee; no response. My husband contacted them a THIRD time; no response. They we received an email asking how our experience was; again, they never followed up. WE WASTED $209 FOR REPAIRS, PLUS $30 FOR A PART THAT WE DIDN'T NEED; SO WE WASTED $239 BY USING ANGI. Never again!
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we're so sorry to hear that your experience with our service had been anything but positive. They sell contractors leads that are useless. Some leads are from customers who had work done by contractors months ago,but still they try to resell the lead to other contractors after the job has already been completed. They do this a lot.
We're sorry to hear that your recent experience has been anything but positive. We can state that we do not resell, or redistribute old leads. The leads are forwarded immediately upon being filled out online or through phone call to our Customer Care team. If you have any leads you feel are invalid, please be sure to apply for a credit through your Pro page, the Angi app, or by calling our Business Center at 877-947-3639.

Angis ads is a scam just like all other lead generating apps. You pay $300 a month for 2 actual leads. While the rest are spam or conartists.Needless to say I will not be renewing my contract

Answer: You'll have to contact the website directly. They don't monitor the Sitejabber website. Try to see if you can get them to delete your profile. If not, I would contact the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General's office or another state law enforcement office in your state. This sounds like fraud to me (but, I'm not a lawyer).
