“The platform is interesting and unlike most people”

Craig R.

The platform is interesting and unlike most people. I met responsible and reliable friends who can be trusted and communicated with. Each conversation depends on the stated purpose that the person has in mind. It's a rewarding experience for me, although I'm not always in the middle. I know what I want, and I strictly adhere to my goal. Excellent

“Fake Dating sites”

Edward C.
2/24/24

I spent alot of hours on these fake dating sites and I realized no one was real or planned on meeting any one several times they asked for gifts to show you wanted to show you care but nothing was real, even after contact information was paid by gifts. Don't waste your money or time. This is a scam like EuroDate and Anastasia. Com Amolatina and all the connected dating sites are fake. Taking advantage of lonely men. Better to find someone in person.

Beware - they have automatic repeat of the charges - read the sign up very carefully - it is actually very expensive to chat and use this site.

I do not recommend this site if you count on them to be up front

The only thing beautiful here are the pictures of girls the rest is a rip off.it's just one big phony website. Scam artist you buy credits to talk to girls because there's no other form of communication and then you don't even get all the credits that you purchase and then when you call to complain they try to tell you that you used it all up.
The person that I talk to Jonathan was lousy they need to improve their customer service skills I don't think I would ever use this site again

I just like the membership. Here you have to pay for credit to chat instead of membership. You pay for credit and after like an hour credit is over. Please do the membership instead credits. I will come back

I would have to say that I agree with the ones that say stay away. The women on here always have a reason to not step away from the site and contact through other free services. I have found another Colombian site that is priced like sites locally in the USA. I have talked to a few ladies there. Yes there are some scammers on this site too but easy to spot. The other ladies are legitimate and exist have verified their existence multiple ways. Again I would not recommend Amolatina. I am with the private investigator review they should be stopped.

Yeah I was pretty sure these chicks were looking to get some cash from the site, but there were a few that took a while answering me when they approached me via chat. But when I said I thought they were not real, they IMMEDIATELY answered me in perfect english, asking me if that is what I thought of them, in an incredulous tone. I already have $20 left. Gonna use it up dissing these $#*!es.

I have written 3 letters to one lady on this site. I am 55 years old, divorced 11 years and considered reasonably good looking for my age and actually have social skills. I am not looking for a 25 year old and the woman I am "corresponding" with (if you could call it that) is 44 years old and very attractive looking -- and not "just for her age". Her profile caught my eye as did a couple of things she said in letters -- if indeed they are really her letters. I have written her detailed, rather lengthy letters, which I have translated into Spanish with an online service -- I do this for her convenience. The letters I have received back (just two, waiting on the third) are short and while she addresses a couple of things I brought up in my letter there is much she has not commented on or answered in a specific way. I told her of the translation I could do online so she sent me a letter in Spanish along with an English version I assume is from a translator -- done on AmoLatina, of course. The English version was quite disjointed and with sections of sentences and also I suspected there were even words missing, I double-checked this by translating her Spanish version into English online with a mostly identical result. I addressed this with customer service and advised them they could look at her letters to me, which a rep supposedly did -- his response to me was the letter is faithfully translated but admitted there were some words missing from the lady's letter -- then he dropped it with no explanation for that. I find this VERY weird -- if the letter is an accurate representation of what the lady wrote, then she has to be semi-illiterate and I do not think that is the case. I think the letters are heavily edited -- hers and probably mine -- and I wonder if they are even hers after reading reviews on this site. In one letter, she told me she travels to Miami to buy children's clothing to sell in Colombia and also she has three brothers and her mother there. I like the idea of meeting her there IF the correspondence piques my interest enough to travel there and meet her. I cannot imagine going on a Colombian tour/mixer. I have viewed the video clips of those on the website as well as on YouTube and virtually every woman I've seen in those videos is much younger than me -- and a high percentage of the men look like the dads at my daughter's soccer games -- how pathetic. I am not looking for a desperate young woman to use me for the purpose of coming to America. Get real guys, woman half your age do not want to be with you because you are all that. I've looked at other Colombian dating sites – more informal, not a dating "service" -- and Colombian women on those are indicating they want a man who is more their age, and not necessarily foreign. Anyway, that is my take on AmoLatina so far -- the jury is out until I receive a response to my third letter and I am not optimistic.

I've been a member of a chat / dating site for over 10 years.
I've only seen or two women there that weren't fakes that look beautiful.
I got hooked on their forums and was really only there to discuss politic or have fun.
But, I did receive a lot of emails from Russian dating scammers.
All of the listed on Russian-Detective.com.
We used to take them for rides. With wind up emails, just to see what they would write and when they would drop the dime on needing some money.
All of these "women" shared a common thread... they would hint that they were not well off or Their parents had died
They would eventually write that they didn't have money to keep writing.
Usually after a few emails, those of us who were bored enough to be amused by corresponding with these women, would report them to the webmaster and have them removed.

Well, like many of you, I received an ad for Amolatina.com.
I kept seeing these women and they all looked amazing.
I read their rules and that you had to have 5 emails between you and the other person, before you could get an introduction.
That didn't bother meI found one person that interested me and wrote to her.
We've exchanged two emails and today I received the third from her. The one with the hint about not being so well off and not having enough money:

"i don´t have the education i need to take my daughter to a better level of life and live my life much better than now. I am so sorry that today i am so short with this but i am at the internet cafe and i am running out of credit sorry my dear".

I have 10 credits left (I spent $60.00) and after reading what many of you have written, I'm going to write to her and tell her that I'm going to be in South America and offer to meet her and her translator (you have to hire an amolatina.com translator to go out with you on the first daytime meeting).
I'll see if this is a real person of if I get the same response as many of you, claiming that she met someone and the corresponding "cya".

I believe this site is like many other sites out there... out for your buck.

Do you have the possiblilty to meet a beautiful woman from South America? Absolutely! But... Read the fine print.

I tried to chat, the response times were so slow. I could have sent messages by pigeon... I asked the girl for a YM... She sent a unhappy face... WTF?

Oh. By the way... did you read the fine print... they are not responsible for Internet connection speed, dropped messages, etc

I have used YM, and video chat with others... Amolatina must have servers from 20 years ago. They are making millions of dollars. Why don't they have the best PC systems? Did you notice they are located in Cyprus? That is not South America folks... I believe they are part of the Anastasia International Company... and worth millions.

They can pay the women to take professional photos, and I would not doubt, pay them a percentage of your spent cash. There are women on that site that have been there for years... Beautiful, sexy, single ladies. Why are they still there years later?

I am sure a guy might meet a beautiful latina through their website eventually... of course he could have probably made a down payment on a Vette or a house for what he spent with them.

I have concluded it's nice to go look at some pictures off beautiful women that are sincere in their search. Hopefully she will post a profile with another website as well and you can finde her. They do not post last names on Amolatina.

They say all this is to preserve the quality of the women and their website. Oh really? I think A Foreign Affair is a better website and making millions legitimately, and honestly.

I got connected thru their sending me letters from Very attractive YOUNG ladies with a lot of boobs showing. I'm 80; sure didn't want to adopt anybody! You'll notice that about 90% of them have "College Degrees". How do ya wanna' bet?" Finally, one came thru from a 50 year old; looked pretty good. I bit; bought $30 worth of "Credits," and answered her letter, asking a few questions. I never heard from her again. After "Searching", I showed interest in a 57 year old. I got a letter pronto. A few letters went back and forth. I happened to read some of this site and things really "clicked". The first lady was working in the states; said she visited her 2 SONS in Costa Rica as much as possible. Her Profile said she had two DAUGHTERS! Strange, huh? The second lady related she had two SONS living abroad. Funny, her Profile
Claimed a BOY and GIRL. Funny how fast they forget what their kids are! When I sent my last letter, I questioned her on all this. The short answer I got reminded me of Sarah Palin-i. E.-What'd she say? I had $60 into it: chalk it up to education and amusement. Anyone who thinks he's going to snare one of those cuties, well "Rotsa Ruck". Joe

Well, I am on the fence on this one. I joined a few months ago after trying their Russian counterpart Anastasia. I can't say I didn't get anywhere there because I never made the trip to Russia, but decided on the Latin site since SA is much closer to home. I have also traveled to Colombia and met girls in the past. Well, the site isn't as well run as the Russian site which BTW had very good customer service and had always answered my questions in a timely manner. The Amo site isn't quite up to par on things and I have also experienced the intro letter scenario. I learned about these letters at the Russian site and was very cautious which ones I opened. What was strange was that I chatted with two different ladies both of whom asked me to send a letter to them, I did write only to be rejected by both of them, you know the "I have found another man" scenario, how strange, because I had just chatted with them, or was it really them? I have my doubts. Anyway "STAY AWAY FROM THE CHAT!" You will lose too much money and there is no guarantee who your talking to until you can see them on video. Long story short, I do not see a future at all meeting anyone from that site. I did make contact with three very nice women, but was it really them in the photos? I couldn't tell you. None of them have invited me to visit them which seems quite strange to me. I agree with the other post regarding cost per character, you have to pay $7 or more a pop for each letter some of which might only contain 3 sentences. This is a very lopsided approach to business at least on the customers part, not theirs. But you would think they would get a clue. It is a business and they need to make money, but you will not meet anyone until they have made a bundle first and even then there is no guarantee. There might be some very sincere girls there, but with the current business model they may be single for a very long time.

Caveat emptor!

Beautiful women, but not sure they are as listed. The fees are excessive... and one gest a lot of emails from supposed women but I think it's just a scam... IE, the letters are generated from bogus originations just to collect fees imposed to read emails and one has to buy credits. Now it's $8 per letter read. Thus, receiving dozens of "emails" from "interested ladies" every day I can only assume the emails are automatically generated. There appears to be a lot of racism also as I contacted a listed woman in Puerto Rico and she told me to get lost... "no gustaria el gringos."

Well, we "gringos" need love too and me gusta muerjes Latina. But. Based on my experience on Amolatina: "No mas"

I was on amolatina for about 10 months, and personally met three different women in three different places. What i did was stay away from the chat and opened as few letters as possible after some scrutiny of them all. I wrote two letters to one girl in bogota and decided i would cut through the red tape and call her through the agency translator. It's about $29 for 5 minutes, so i bumrushed her off the phone(i speak spanish) after getting her contact info. Email and phone number. We communicated for two months and i went for a visit. We spent a few days together in the city and had fun. Soon after i returned, she started to ask me if she could come to the states and stay with me. Whoa, slow down. So i broke it off. I met another from medellin and she invited me down after talking on the phone for a few months. This one was fluent in english. So, i went and we had a great time together, but i always felt like there was something going on that i couldn't figure out. Sometimes i would call her when she would ask me to, and sometimes there was no answer when i know she has caller id, and others she would answer and we'd be disconnected. Subsequent calls thereafter many times would not be answered. Wtf? Something was up. The last before i quit the service was in the dominican. I believe most of those profiles from there are not real. But i did hit it off with one girl and off i went to visit. We met in downtown santo domingo and it was then i found she was five months pregnant. So we hung out for several days and had fun, but that wasn't what i was looking for so i never spoke to her again. What i realized when i was in all of these places is that you don't need this site. Just go to one of those cities and you'll hook up with a real chica in no time. They love us. i do a lot of travelling and love latin america, and have met women everywhere in bars and discos. The girls are very receptive to gringos and they all want one. Many women would come and dance with me at the discos while i was with the girl i came to see. Just keep in mind that most of these women want a respectful man; they can already be with an $#*! where they are. Leave the websites alone and save your money for a trip. Stay in a hostel and meet friends there that already know the ropes and you can meet some of the sexiest women of your life. Good luck...

I agree with the negative reviews that are expressed before me. I read, write and speak Spanish and some of the answers I get to my questions are completely unrelated. Some questions I consider important go unanswered. And it seems to me the women are trained to get you to spend money. Or perhaps the womenare just photos and someone else answers questions for them. I just do not get a good feeling from this site. Go at it at your own risk. As for me, I have paid them my last visit. I believe I've been duped!

Ok, the real deal! YES this site is a rip off. However everything has its good points. First thing that you need to know to better understand is that this site pays the women to get men to talk, send gifts and spend money through the site. What did you expect, its a business. Yes, i got caught up in this as well, and spent probably over 1000 usd. I must admit i was entertained and had a good time doing it. I was fortunate to actually meet one of the ladies that i was interested in and she let me know exactly how they work. Another thing you should know is that sometimes if the woman is not available, an agent of the company will get on that ladies account as the lady to talk to the guys that are interested in her to get them to spend more money. So if you think your girl online has a split personality, its not her its more than likely some guy that gets part of her commissions for getting you to spend money. Yes the woman are incredible, you just have to get passed Amolatina security and then find a woman that is not just looking to make money. Amolatina looks for beautiful women it latin countries that want to make easy money talking on the internet to guys that want to spend money talking to beautiful women. It is like going to a strip club trying to take one of the dancers/strippers home. Yes it can be done, but not likely and you will usually spend some money before you fail. The question is, did you have a good time? If you decide to continue with this site, please keep in mind that the women talk to many guys, what makes you different, or separates you from the rest? Be cincere, be special, be careful, and dont act like a freak. Good luck, have fun, and do not spend your last dollar.

I have been on this site for a few years. I have traveled to meet women that I met on the site. Many of the women, despite numerous emails, knew nothing about me when I met them. They were told by the agency that a man was coming to meet them and that was the first that they had heard of me.
They admitted that they had never written an email or chatted.
While in the agency office in one city, I was able to view the monitor of one of the girls working on a computer in the office, she was chatting with several men at once, on a girls profile that was definitely not the girl at the desk.
The women I met were very nice and some are still friends, but to find them through the mire of fraud on the website is difficult.
In my estimation, if you are chatting with a pretty girl without video there is less than a 25% chance that you are chatting with the lady. Asianbeauties (sister site) is just as bad by the way.
There is one woman I found who has a cam. You can tell that she is chatting on other computers at the same time. I left, and started to Camshare with a different woman, when the video came up I was looking at the same girl from the other computer, so I searched women online with a cam and about the same age and guess what, I found her chatting on a third persons profile. One of the profiles was hers the others didn't quite look like her.
I don't know if the fraud is sanctioned by the parent company, or more likely just perpetrated by the local agencies, but it has gotten worse over the past year.
I was on the phone with one of my friends I had met in South America, she was grocery shopping. I checked online and told her that she was online. We thought it was funny, so I chatted with the lady at the agency, then I told her I was on the phone with the lady and she is at the store... disconnected. Lol
It wasn't as bad when I joined as it is now. But if I knew it was going to get this bad I would not have joined.
My advice if you are on this site.
Only chat with ladies that have video so you can see who it is.
If you ask to exchange personal information and they want to wait until they know you better through the website. BAIL
If you explain your concerns about fraud, a real person would understand, a photo with something current like a magazine, that you know had to be taken very recently is good evidence that she is real. If she is offended because you don't trust her. BAIL
Be suspicious of anyone you can't send flowers to.
And if you make a phone call have a friend that speaks the language listening with you, the interpreters will go very slowly. The calls become very expensive.
Good luck.

Hey guys, I was doing some digging. I was googling a young lady I was chatting with on Amolatina.com
What pops up, her picture several times. I click on a pic of her I haven't seen before, and the website the ladies use pops up. It was the amolatina ladies news.
In the news they had pictures of the girls that won the weekly prizes for the most chat time. One girl one an Iphone and others won spa trips and etc.
So the girls have an incentive to keep you chatting and taking your money.
Now, is it a scam? I'm not sure yet. Now I have some fuel to really find out.
I'm going to confront my new friend and see what her response is. I have already told her I will be visiting her town next month. She seemed really excited. We talked in code about getting from under Amo's foot. She left me clues on where she lived. I asked her in a round about way, if she had facebook or not and she said no. I mentioned how expensive it was to chat and she said she understood and was surprised at the cost. Don't know if I believe that or not. I will be going in Sept. On R&R from Afghanistan. Now I'm not some old perv looking for some young piece of $#*!. I have no problem with dating attractive women, I have had many. But i am tired of american women trying to play men for their money.
I'm pretty set in the money department and i'm looking for a humble woman that knows the worth of a dollar.
Anyhoo i will let you guys know what happens in the next few days and on my trip to Colombia.

Peace

I challenge future reviewers to include links to sites they consider more legitimate than amolatina.com, links to actual sites showing the ladies' side of the equation and in general more actual information to substantiate their negative reviews.

I'd also like to read about other men's experiences with women with children versus those with no children. Is the information about kids just as phony as other information? I'd be happy to accept a foreign born child if it meant the marriage was more "real".

Instead, what I have found are long rants, IDs that don't or no longer exist at amolatina.com and vague references to "prize sites showing girls winning money for keeping guys on chat" without links. I've also seen one YouTube link to a video that turned out to be private.

I did find one ID from a negative reviewer that does exist. Silly man, thinking that a model in lingerie was a real person needing a website to find husbands! Also, one review with a link DID show a girl in front of three monitors (oops! I don't think you wanted to show that one at amolatina.com!)

Here are my experiences with amolatina.com and my experience with an actual foreign wife:
1) Responses from one "lady" were so disjoint, like badly translated phrases from some book of poetry, that I complained and had my credits returned (nothing lost there).
2) In my experience, contrary to the most negative reviews, some profiles (I won't say "ladies") do leave the site, and the ages shown do get older.
3) my first wife is 16 years younger and from Thailand. She did give me a wonderful son, though our marriage on paper lasted much longer than our marriage in fact. Point is, several of HER friends HAVE married older men and did not immediately (or ever) jump ship after the immigration limitation expired. I don't know if Thai women are "better" than latinas, but yes, it is possible to meet a younger woman and get married.
===
Therefore, the question is: can you find one of these "real" women at amolatina.com?
===
It seems that the general consensus is "the women aren't the ones corresponding with you" and "the tours are okay", and I long ago started ignoring profiles with the big red "amolatina" bus as a backdrop.

But I think it's possible that there are "some" actual women from some countries. Can every listing be a fake? Every local agency in every country scammers only?

That's why I challenge future reviewers to include more "useful" information, not the IDs of profiles, but links to other review sites and to "better" sites for actually finding a wife.

I am a little bit different than most of you guys. I am Colombian myself and looking for a lady in my own country. So I was trying it through amolatina. I had a very nice chat with two ladies. They were shocked that I wasn't a gringo, but they really enjoyed that they could talk to a paisano. I dont know if I was talking to a 'translater', but I mentioned a few very specific things about my city in Colombia and also I talked Colombian slang, and it seemed this girls were real. Unfortunately they didnt want to give me their emails 'yet', they admitted this would get them "fired". But I know I could probably offer them a lot more then what they get from "amolatina". I prefer givin the money to the girls than to amolatina. So next time I talk to the girl I gonna propose exchanging numbers and I'll say I'll pay her twice what amolatina pays her, so she shouldnt be worried about losing her "job" (yeah "job".)

This is an expensive, expensive site to be involved with.
Here is what I learned from actually meeting a girl from AmoLatina.
Amolatina is an umbrella site. They are based in Cypress.
Amolatina hooks up with a network of local agencies, who "represent" Amolatina when you finally arrive in the town of the girl you are to meet. The local agency tried to sign me away from Amolatina. I think they think they could help me cheaper and better than Amolatina, but you can decide for yourself. You have to send and receive 5 letters (pay for a total of 10 x $7 each) before you can date a girl from the site. Then you have to pay for the date (they say administration and translation services). In my experience the local agency arrange the first meeting. They did not facilitate direct contact until the actual meeting. When I met the girl the agency rep introduced us and said we were entitled to one hour of translation service, which we declined. We were both eager to get away from the Amolatina control. Once you meet the local rep and Amolatina have no way to charge any other fee, unless you request it. My lady explained that the ladies are harrassed to write letters to men once the agree to participate with Amolatina. They sign sign some form of agreement that they have to conform to. I am not sure how that part works. My lady looked like her photos and her profile was accurate. She was beautiful, intelligent, educated and unsure of what she wanted in a relationship. After it was clear that she wasn't sure what she wanted I cut her off. She continued to try to contact me for a while after. I think if she could prove she had a relationship she could get out of her agreement with Amolatina.

I would not say the site is a scam, though I am not saying that it is not. The "agency" is overly expensive and I am not aware of anyone who was "sucessful" in developing a relationship.

I have been an infrequent user at this site for around 6 months. The bad news is that the services are extremely overpriced and despite their claims that they don't use models, many of the girls actually list that as their profession. Many of the reviews here so far are somewhat accurate, however, the good news is that the majority of these girls are interested in obtaining a western husband. Although I have had limited contact with a few who I wasn't sure were on the level, there are 3 that I am currently in contact with who seem quite legit; who have sent me additional personal photos (Not the airbrushed, photo-shopped pics you see in many profiles) and have expressed interest in meeting me. All this while not being a very lucrative customer for the site.
Never read your first unsolicited letter from a girl -- it will invariably be a form letter giving general information about her and automatically sent once you list her as a "favorite." After that, use your own judgment; its not too hard to ascertain whether you are having a real correspondence or being strung along. Like I said, there have been 1 or 2 I wasn't getting that warm fuzzy feeling from, despite their continued correspondence, but none have buttered me up for financial aid yet. My friend speaks fluent Spanish and he handled a call translation for me with a Colombian girl I had been friendly with. This way we were able to exchange e-mails and have been corresponding out of the reach of AmoLatina. Other than speculation, I have never seen corroboration that AmoLatina pays any of these girls for advertisement or use of the service. While an individual girl might try to scam you, there is no evidence that it is organized with the site. My only complaint is that customer service failed to reimburse me for a chat session I was over-billed for once, but that was an isolated event in my experience. The key word is judgment; use it! If you are a '5' then don't expect to hook up with a '10' unless you have a yacht. Otherwise, you can certainly do better than the pitiful odds we have stateside (Yanks) where most women are either un-fit, unattractive or nasty. Latinas are all about the sexy!
