To echo Kevin K's "Dishonest marketing strategies" & PP's "unscrupulous practice" reviews, I went through the same thing. If they need to trick people into getting the report, I don't trust them and would rather pay the 40$ to carfax. Got my email from "*******@gmail.com" The first one said, " Trying to get in touch with you regarding your vehicle for sale, but I have not heard from you.
Please message me direct at my personal email to discuss -
KenTrip75(at/Gmail/dot/c0m)
Thanks." Making me think I had a potential buyer. I responded with an apology as sometimes emails get misfiled and my phone number. The second, more detailed email after the come one said this, "

Hello, I was reaching out to you about your vehicle for sale. Do you have a current vehicle history report for it? If not, I suggest getting one at:
www.VinCheckPass. Com.
When I was selling my car I got one from there to show people that were interested. It was only $19 which is half the cost of Carfax($40 or more). It will show if there are any issues with it. The peace of mind it gives for such a large sale is a bonus too.
It will verify that it has not been in any bad accidents, that it has a clean title and that it has not been stolen. There are so many scams out there. People are more likely to look at a vehicle with a report provided.
Talk to you soon. Thanks!" I replied, "Can't you just say, Hey - I see you have a vehicle for sale, we offer the same service as Carfax at half the price & we are JUST AS GOOD as Carfax. No? Is VinCheck not as good as Carfax?. Since this feels like tricking me into using the service, I'd rather pay double to Carfax who doesn't feel the need to trick people. Shame on you."

Great results
June 5, 2017

I had great results from the VIN check. It came back fast and was inexpensive.

Here is something I found online if you are looking to buy/sell a used car:

How much is Used Car Really Worth?
To determine the worth of a used car, it all depends on which used car is been valued. There are various factors which are considered when determining the worth of a used car.

Condition - The present situation of the car is essential when determining the worth of a used car.In order to determine condition of the vehicle focus on three main points:
Exterior: Paint and body, minor scratches, dents, paint flaws or rusts. Also, windshield glass, lights, lenses, and wheels.
Interior: Upholstery and carpet, electronics (windows, radio, NAV, etc.)
Mechanical: Engine, transmission, steering, brakes, tires, suspension.
Make as well as Model of the car - There are more interest and demand for specific models and makes over others. Chevrolet tops the list of most-available brands in the U.S. (with about 450,000 available), followed by Ford (425,000). There are "only" about 280,000 Toyotas on the market at any given time.
Mileage - Another thing to check out is how much mileage has been driven on the car. Certainly, cars with lower mileage will surely bring a greater selling price compared to if the car has been driven a lot and already has high mileage. Consumers lose as much as $4 billion a year due to odometer fraud, with the average rollback being over 15,000 miles.
Season - Based on which type of the vehicle, is possible to get more money depending on the season. For example between July and October larger dealers typically lower vehicle prices to attract off-season buyers.
Vehicle History - In the event that the car has had previous damage from a major accident or weather related mishap such as hail, it will definitely decrease how much the car is worth. For example, let's say you found two cars of the same year, make, model, equipment and have similar miles, but one has damage reported on the Vehicle History Reports while the other does not. You would expect to pay less for the one with the damage and because buyers expect to pay less for that car. Also if you are going to trade in your vehicle towards the purchase of a newer car the Dealer typically will offer anywhere from 10-30 percent less for your trade.

Btt... btt... btt... btt... btt... btt... btt... btt... btt... btt... btt... btt...

Pitiful scam effort. And about as transparent as they come.

Notice that all unfavorable reviews are followed by several bogus 5-star reviews from a new user's first time review... just to try to bury the bad review. Even a similar pattern to their profile images.

Nobody has claimed the business and responded to any of the poor reviews.

Scam owner - before you submit your next fraudulent 5-star review, why don't you reply to this and defend yourself.
