My mortgage escrow paid them $905 after I asked ASI to cancel my homeowner's insurance policy. I bought out my ex's half 1 1/2 years ago and financed the mortgage in my name only, title in my name only. Because his name appears on the policy, they won't cancel the policy especially since they've already been paid for the upcoming year. I have my own policy. Divorce was bitter, marriage with domestic violence. Ex refuses to call and cancel the policy and ASI knows this. Agent admitted they do this all the time between divorces. That's one way to keep the money.
