I am beyond disappointed with Amazon's dishonest customer service. I was sent a defective TV, and after contacting their support, they explicitly told me in writing that I could keep the item and that I would not be charged.
However, despite this clear confirmation, Amazon still charged me the full price, including the promotional discount I had used.
When I contacted support again, multiple agents reassured me that I would be refunded, but these were just empty promises. Each time, my case was escalated, only to be closed without any action.
Now, they are telling me that I must return the item—after explicitly confirming that I did not have to. On top of that, they are not even refunding me the full amount they charged.
What if I had already thrown away the TV because it was defective?
Why should I pay for Amazon's internal mistakes?
This is completely unacceptable behavior from a company of this size. If Amazon makes you a promise in writing, do not trust them—they can go back on their word and charge you anyway.
Think twice before trusting Amazon's support. Even if they confirm something in writing, it means nothing.
The customer service at amazon.fr doesn't even deserve a 0 rating. When they charged my card for the order additional fees were charged which I was not informed of in advance. After reporting this to customer service multiple times I have received no response or refund of the difference. So they deliberately extort customers for extra fees, hoping the customer won't notice, and then ignore the complaints. When making a purchase on amazon.fr you should take into account that your card may be charged for a higher amount than your order and you will never receive a refund of the overpayment or a response from support. The customer service staff of this website are ordinary scammers. This was my first and last purchase on amazon.fr.
Amazon.fr does not compare to any of the other amazons in other countries. They have very bad customer service. The worst happened 2 weeks ago. Most of the items I ordered got lost which is it marked as delivered on Amazon. I had sent messages to Amazon and all the suppliers alerting to call the number shown on the address before or at delivery. No one bothered to do that. The items were left on the floor at the address. Only a few were found and the rest vanished. Obviously taken by other people. Now Amazon is saying that i am not eligible for a refund. Unbelievable. It was Amazon's fault and I lose my money. On top of this all my comments on the products where i mentioned that the items were not received were removed by Amazon. Dictatorship and monopoly. I am contacting my lawyer because customers have rights and this is robbery!
Item not delivered, refund offered by Amazon.fr. Still not received it 40 days later, I've spent over 6 hours on their webchat, phoned customer services, contacted them through their Facebook page, all I get is apology after apology but I still haven't received my refund.
They are a total disgrace.
I've had a bad luck to make an order at Amazon.fr and was amazed with the attitude. First of all they've credited the order to my bank account 3 weeks before intended shipment. Then after the delivery time has already passed they've sent an email saying that I might probably want to cancel the order. I've contacted the client service and they've told me that probably I will get my order in another 6 weeks, but it's better to cancel the order. I've asked why did Amazon then take the order, and the chat lady has just disappeared. I restarted the chat and the other lady has told me that she doesn't believe that the order will ever be shipped! And offered me 5 Euro coupon on Amazon, though as she said her manager has blamed her for that :) Then she has just disappeared again.
Long story short - appalling service, Amazon.fr doesn't give a s... about its customers and they are OK not to keep their obligations. Don't make them earn money!
We recently ordered a Dyson big ball animal 2 vacuum cleaner from Amazon France, instead Amazon delivered a box of LOL surprise sparkle dolls. Amazon told us to return the dolls and we would be refunded, which we immediately did. Three weeks later and we have still not been refunded the 599 euros. Their customer service confirm the dolls were received on 26th December, but they have not yet been processed by their return centre, this is despite many reminders from our side. Considering this return/refund is a result of Amazon's mistake and the substantial amount that we are out of pocket, I am stunned at the lack of urgency here, and while customer services have been helpful and empathetic it has not helped get our money back. We are a regular Amazon customer and we are extremely frustrated by their treatment on this occasion!
Locked my. co.uk account because of a billing error. Been with Amazon years and ordered tons of stuff. Only got problems with the french stuff after I see cheap graphics cards for sale. The French think they are better than everyone else, that's their problem. TossPots!
Everything i place an order with amazon.fr they send me a confirmation email with an order number and when I try to track the order it says I haven't a placed an order in the last 6 months. This has happened multiple times and they even sent me an email saying that my order had been shipped and will arrive the following Wednesday and then the same thing happened, disappeared from my orders. Also every time I try to log into my account it brings me to password help to change the password even though i know my password. In future go with the amazon.co.uk, far less hassle.
Bought from amazon.fr, goods never arrived, contacted by chat more then 25 times, by email many times still they not refunded our funds since December 9th -2020, today is 25th Jan 2021,
They keep saying we are working on it. Very bad service.
I have been a seller for a few years and have had a number of customer order and keep the goods they have ordered and Amazon refund them and even take the return postage from me, with me not having the goods back. They allow their customers to steal and surely this can't be legal! If I knew that it would cost me more money selling on. Es,. It and. Fr from the UK then I wouldn't have done it and I now no longer sell using these platforms because they are dishonest and punish the sellers for the dishonest customers their site attracts.
I have ordered 2 tablets from Amazon m.fr but I only received one, and when I contacted them they told me this stealing thing is very common and they stated that I have to make a police complaint, I did what they asked and every time I contact them they tell me they didn't process my request yet ( and their behaviour is ereally rude), until recently they told me 60 days have passed and they can't help me anymore. It is a complete scam. People I know told me this happened a lot to others and they never gave them their money back.
After three weeks of trying to get my locked account reopened, I still have no response. Not sure how this is Amazon that is quite reliable in the US and UK - and I've also ordered goods with other services in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Amazon France has hands down the worst customer service you can ever imagine.
Awful and expansive! We can call them thieves! I have been charged 21 times over the past 2years for a subscription I didn´t want/ask, so more than167Euros, and today they said they can only refund 12months because the other transactions are "off hands because dated from over a year ago"! Inacceptable! And the "helpful" guy had a go a me arguing, asking if I wanted him to pay me back since his bosses didn´t want to! Well yes you f****!
Amazon France thieving company, I ordered an iPhone and they didn't bring it to me and they don't take responsibility and have no answer for this. Never order from amazon fr.

Almost embarrassing when the UPS guy arrives with next-day service on an urgent package - containing an item costing less than 10 Euro.
They said I was not at home so my expensive OLED TV undelivered. I WAS AT HOME ALL DAY SPECIALLY. They never left any notification?
Then they said it will be Monday next, still nothing, another day wasted.

I bought some itens on Amazon Business France. The delivery date was set to 22th February, and at that date the itens had not yet been sent. I contacted support and they told me that there was a problem with my card to contact the bank. I contacted the bank and they said there was no problem. I insisted and they told me they that the card was ok but they were verifying my account. I waited and... nothing, the order is still on with 22th february delivery date! I insisted and now I am not getting any answer! The experience seems a nightmare, a Kafka book! Buy on Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com! I never had any problem with them!
