I have booked quite a few times for my family & also recomended a lot to others but Never Again. They are a disgrace. Unfortunately my very loved father, RIP, passed away suddenly and we needed to cancel our family holiday. We had saved and saved for this. I sent a cancellation email advising of bereavement and was told as it was within 7 days there was no refund and no option to defer holiday either. When i asked if they had a bereavement policy, i just kept getting the same response re. The seven days. No condolences, options, nothing. They should be ashamed of themselves. The airline refunded immediately with supply of documents. I contacted the hotel directly and they were so kind but their hands were tied as it was booked with alpharooms. Im sure our holiday was resold as it was in high demand. Alpharooms probably made a nice profit there. This cancellation was not an option, it was due to a sudden bereavement. Our bereavement was sudden and could not be timed within time frames for cancellations. With all the profits alpharooms make, they still have no room for human kindness and compassion. Hang your heads in shame... My reference number is **************.
3/7/17, I'm still awaiting an update, received direct calls to say looking into it. To add salt to the wounds I received an email from alpharooms saying they hoped I enjoyed my stay & asked me to review my holiday with trip advisor... 05/07/2017, still awaiting a reply after promise that I would receive an update... really disappointed with the service from alpharooms... 6/7/17 received an email today, what are they asking me to check? Very same answer as in first week of June so just fobbed me off for a month because i posted a review of this site. Typical, blaming someone else!
