Now that it's illegal to charge for paying by credit/debit card, Alpharooms are calling it an 'admin fee'. £4.95 for each payment is just not on. You don't find this out until after you book! We have booked with Apharooms many times but, although their prices are often cheaper, they are recouping the difference with their admin charges. I pity people who need to pay for their holidays in installments as this could really mount up.

I have always had poor views on trivago. I had looked on it many years ago and found it expensive in comparison to other sites. I kept seeing the advert on the TV and as I have recently been looking to go away I thought what the hell, let's give it another try. I was not disappointed. I love a bargain & I have searched the web far & wide trying to find the cheapest hotel possible for my trip to Orlando Florida. I couldn't find any site with cheaper prices for the hotel we booked. There were other hotels at cheaper prices but we wanted to book a mid range hotel. The site is easy to use & navigate. There is also the option to pay a £1 deposit which was really helpful for me. I chose to pay the amount in installments. I don't know whether my computer didn't load the page properly or whether it just didn't say. But it sounded like I could pay installments when I wanted, which I can but there is also a direct debit set up which will be debited from my account each month. Again this is fine but I thought it wasn't going to be fixed amounts, this was a little unclear. Like I said I can log in & pay amounts off when I want which will reduce my monthly payments, so it doesn't really matter to me all that much but it may do to others. This is the only reason I am not giving a five star review. Great site, best out there in my opinion.

AVOID AT ALL COST!

Just recently booked hotel. I was fooled by the logo of British travel awards 2017. Initially everything seemed fine: paperwork with confirmation came through. Cost was reasonable. I then read some reviews. OMG! Was shocked. Contacted the hotel: no booking. This was a month before I travelled. Contacted Alpharoom: they stated can take 10 days to ensure local supplier can sort out. I made numerous calls to ensure no issues as I was travelling with 3 little children. As they dates approached, the hotel I liked price doubled. I contacted Alpharooms, they said nothing to worry about. I contacted the hotel again: but two standard rooms was booked rather than ONE all inclusive room with seaside view. This was a day before i travelled. I was promised that i will receive a call back by the supervisors (not there real name as all based in India: Tom. This did not happen.

Thankfully my room was sorted as I had liased with the Hotel multiple times. They knew my name as I walked through the door and this was embarrassing.

I spoke to Tom / Chris/ Sebastian / Anil / cant remember rest.
I wanted to escalate situation, but they would not let me speak to anyone superior!
