We had a policy with Allstate for our auto insurance. In July we went on our honeymoon and it was out of the country, so the payment declined since it came from out of the country and appeared fraudulent. Allstate did not let us know, and we were charged for August and September. Then, they apparently noticed that the prior charge did not go through and cancelled our policy at the beginning of October. We were still charged later that month. They gave us absolutely no notice that our policy was canceled, and the app said that everything was good and up to date. We only found out because someone hit our car and my husband called to get the information. This is when he was informed it has been cancelled for over a month. When asked why we were not informed, he was told they "don't have the manpower." They also are still going to charge us to reinstate our claim, even though it was their fault the policy ended in the first place and we were not informed.
Company is happy to add drivers to a policy but will not remove when owner of vehicle requests without a death certificste of the ADD on driver. They do not communicate. Aftwr death of my mom took 3 months to cancel her policy with zero communication about what is really needed. Death cert proof of poa executor etc. In case of add on no longer driving, owner. Could not remove driver without a md leetter stating md revoked the lisc of the insured. I own the policy. I added her as a driver. I should be able to remove the add on. NO paid for 2 YEARS for her even though she was not driving. FRAUD. Impossible to get a hold of an agent and get answers. Sent to corporate and no answers or resolution given.

I work for an insurance company and tried reporting a claim to Allstate today. After numerous failures due to the unhelpful automation and the website not assisting, I finally called 800-allstate. Spoke with Barbara at 9:23 AM EST. Advised the issues I was having and she told me ultimately that she couldn't do my job for me. I politely told her she was rude, and that I'm sure AS wouldn't appreciate her speaking to anyone like that. I advised her the elderly customers much catch much trouble with people like her at the helm. I've been in the insurance business for almost 30 years and couldn't believe the rudeness.

My first home claim was just denied as soon as they got lt. Not before they had some fun playing with my misfortune and me going thru hardtimes.
It is sad to find out that they did not care about the problem with the house just my premium when time is due because they left me alone when I needed them the most.
THE GOOD HANDS WERE HIDDEN JUST SHOW UP WHEN IS TIME TO COLLECT THE PREMIUMS!

It is the worst insurance company when come to claim. My roof was damaged badly, discussed with them over six months, no progress. Neighbor's roof with less damage, but their insurance company replaced their roof very fast. Never buy any insurance from this company.
Allstate Home Insurance is a FRAUD. Oh you pay the yearly insurance thinking you have good insurance until you deal with a real life tragedy such as a fire and loss of life, once this happens Allstate gets inquisitive and with their staffed attorneys look to everything so they are not responsible. The local agent that was used Fred Duke failed to make changes to policy to all that was on the deed. They are corrupt and Allstate is illegitimate for home insurance.
I was rear-ended by an Allstate insured who admitted he was at fault, and Allstate made me pay for a rental car while mine was being repaired at their approved body shop, and they are deaf when contacting them to reimburse me for the rental car. I am still waiting for an adjuster to contact me about my neck injury. The accident happened on Sept. 14 and still waiting on Oct. 24th. I feel that they actually want me to contact a lawyer to finally settle this!
A tree fell on the house, on the carport, and did extensive damage. Since it was just the carport the house was livable. Filed the claim, Allstate sent out a claims examiner (not an adjustor, i found out there was a difference, but still don't understand what the difference is) the examiner sent the information to an adjustor in a different state and he called me with the estimate based on the photos and the examiner's report. I contacted a contractor, one All-State recommended, and they came out and said no way the damage could be fixed with the low amount i was paid. The contractor said he would deal with the adjuster. There was no issue with the additional amount for the repairs but what All-State refused to pay was the Additional Living expense coverage under my policy contract. The house was going to be unlivable while the repairs were being made due to the contractor would have to shut off power to the home since there was extensive electrical damage done. All State refused to pay for me to live elsewhere while the repairs were being done. It is about a 3-week job and I have to pay out of pocket to live in a hotel for 3 weeks!
I filed a claim with Allstate for the tsunami damage to my roof and they repaired the roof under the promise of not paying extra beyond what the insurance company paid for. Lastly, I received 2 checks from Allsate in July 2022. I deposited the check into the bank and it went through without any problems. I soon paid the roofing company a check. However, after a few days allsate returned the check. The reason is that the check was canceled. The roofing company is lying and won't return the money and Allstate won't fix the problem saying they are not responsible for canceled checks. Over the past 6 months I have talked and complained countless times about my pain but the billing team is wasting my time not taking responsibility for their mistakes.
I have never been notified of canceled checks in advance and have always deposited and debited insurance money and all claims to my personal bank account. Why? Did you create this problem by issuing a check this time? For six months, I reported this issue to lawyers and various social media communities and sought advice. Everyone says the insurance company will fix the problem.
I've been a loyal Allstate customer for almost 20 years, but the way the claims team resolved the issue this time was shocking. I still can't sleep because I'm sick and I'm angry.

Allstate cancel my insurance without me knowing, I call them back they have no answer to how that happened, they keep transferring me to a so-called specialist that didn't know crap about anything.
All I got was, Sorry for what happened if you want your policy back, you need to put $600 down payment today, that's all we can do for you…
That's what they told me it's a disgrace a piece of $#*! company I don't even think that's legal, To take your down payment, then your monthly payments, then cancel you, and then talk to their stupid specialist

Let me start by saying Allstate is popular but not necessarily good. I filed a claim about hail storm damage to my roof last year. Allstate denied my claim. Allstate claims that there was no hail stone damage. And so I left it at that. This year 2022, 1 put my house in the market and the buyer's inspection agent also reported hailstone damage to the roof. I refiled my claim again and Allstate once again denied my claim. I uploaded pictures of the hail damage as prove of hail damage and Allstate still denied my claim. They give me no justifiable reason to deny my claim because there was none. This denial was based on greed on the part of Allstate. I had to cut the price of my house by $15,000 in other to sell my house. What's the point of having a home insurance when you're not able to use it when it matters? What more., my car insurance is also insured by Allstate, I will cancel the car insurance and have nothing to do with Allstate. I am buying a new home this month and so I am shopping around for a trustworthy insurance company. I will do my homework this time. I will read reviews and do my research before picking one. My advice for every one is to stay away from Allstate.

Allstate is joke! We had a pipe bust in my sons bathroom which caused mold inside the wall. They wouldn't send anyone to the house to look at it. They said mold is due to long term exposure and wasn't due to our pipe busting. Mold can grow within 24 hours. They said that we would be responsible for fixing the walls. How could they possibly know what all damages were done and if was due to "long term exposure" when they wouldn't even send anyone out to the house? They are horrible. RUN! Do not use them!
The problem with Allstate is that the computer controls all. Not one dang person in that company can override what the computer tells them even when the computer is wrong. Once day I decide I'm not getting a great rate with them and I'm tired of getting the run around every time I try to talk to someone. So I buy different insurance, as one does. I do that, and call up Allstate to cancel my policy. Only to be told it can't be cancelled today. That it would have to be backdated a whole month because the cancellation system in their computers showed I hadn't paid for the current month yet and that I was a month behind. The problem with that was yes I had and no I wasn't. Their computers wouldn't even accept a payment because my account was showing no payment due. Backdating and cancelling would trigger a refund of one month's payment, they confirmed this. I talked to three different people, who consulted supervisors. Each and every one of them could see that I was clearly current, but not one of them could fix the problem, because at Allstate the computer controls all and no one can override it.
I gave up and cancelled backdated, after confirming that my lender wasn't going to take issue with it. Stay away from Allstate. I have never in my life dealt with a more infuriating company.
I purchased a one year policy for car insurance with Allstate in 2021 for a decent price. By 2022 it went up $500. I assumed it was because toward the end of the 12 month policy I traded in my car which was a 2012 Cadillac for a 2017 Cadillac. Then they sent me a bill for $3,882. I immediately switched to progressive who offered me car insurance for $75/month. When I called Allstate to get a refund they said I would be charged $235 for less than a month of coverage. I'm so disappointed with Allstate, the fact that I'm paying $235 for less than a month of insurance for a policy I never agreed to is so wrong. It's been so hard to get a hold of anybody at Allstate. And every time I have talked to an agent they tell me different things.

Should have never left Mercury. My wife was rear ended. So we started a claim. When our car was ready. I was informed that. I had to pay $1000 deductible. So I called about getting it waived. They said no! That we had to pay up front. Then they would get deductible back from other parties insurance. And that it was a lengthy process. Now here's the slap in face. They also said that the only time they waive a deductible is for uninsured or hit and run driver. I was stunned! Were not at fault. We have a no fault claim. Horrible way to treat customers. So now you know. We will be switching back to Mercury as soon as Allstate expires.
I've been with Allstate for nearly 20 years now for home, umbrella and three auto policies with full coverage. Only claim I had prior to this one was when a deer jumped on my hood and put a small dent in it. Never went through with the claim cause of deductible. But recently a tree fell on the same vehicle and damage is significant. Allstate is offering me $700.00. Windshield is broke, the post that holds windshield is bent. Mirror is broken door bent. No way this is $700.00.
I rated them one star cause there's nothing worse I can give them. Shouldn't have to litigate a company to whom I've been a loyal customer with for nearly 20 years
I have been with Allstate over 20 yrs, and always a good and loyal customer throughout these years. My 2020 Lexus got hit from the back this week, and I did not believe the car can be driven after the accident. I uploaded the damage photos to QFC as per Allstate request. Allstate gave me its Estimate of Record with amount of less than $1,900. I believed my car is either totaled or needed a major repair work. I called them and ask Allstate to give me a fair estimate because I did not want to be in the position between repair shop and insurance argument with the result of my car not get fixed properly. My request was rejected and was told they can not send an appraisal or redo the estimate until the repair shop give out its estimate. My questioned the manager from Allstate, his first name is Daniel, how this estimate was conducted and how he, as an manager, can adjustify this kind of ridiculous low amount in the estimate. He has no answer but keep on telling me it's initial estimate. At the end, he did not agree to give me a fair estimate, so I said to him 'good bye'. I am extremely disappointed after over 20 yrs with them, and expect to get a fair treatment when I need the help. I am switching the company. 'I am not in a good hand - Bye bye Allstate. I do not believe Allstate deserves a star or any star.
Allstate in general, has proven to be a below poor insurance agency.
In June 2022, I was hit and ran off road, by another driver [also an Allstate customer]. I made a claim and reopened it 3 times. Allstate, dropped my claim all 3 times!
With pictures sent proving I was hit, the adjusters neglected to investigate my car, public cameras and my damages! Unbelievable!
I am beyond dissatisfied, disappointed and disgusted with Allstate Insurance Company. I have been with Allstate for 15 years. I will definitely leave Allstate and look for another Insurance carrier for my home and vehicle.
I have had allstate for over 40 years and I recently filled a claim after a bad wind storm on july 23, I am still not completely done with my claim as of aug 10th.My adjuster came in way to low on my claim and I had to call to get estimates on the work that had to be done. I was also told by the adjuster that the tree that fell on my garage would not be covered to be removed and then after arguing over this I got paid but did not cover full cost I paid to remove and clean up tree.My daughter has liberty mutual and the same date july 23 her claim was paid in two days and the cost of tree was fully covered and she has had this company a short time sad.
