On Friday I called Allivet to place an order for heartworm medication and told the rep that I had four written vet prescriptions for my four dogs. I wanted to order HW drugs for two dogs and the price she gave was higher than the last order. Answer given was the manufacturer raised the price. While talking I looked on their website and saw there was a $3 coupon. I asked about it and she said ok. She had not offered it and didn't even apologize for not offering it.
I asked if I mailed all four prescriptions, would they keep them on file for future orders. She said yes and to write my order number at the top right side of the Rx. I did and mailed them that very day with a letter. Within a few hours I received three emails and a phone call from Allivet stating they could not process my order without a prescription. They also stated they were contacting my vet's office for an Rx. Even though I called Allivet to straighten out the mess and was assured there was no problem, I received a phone call and they also called my vet that they needed an Rx. So my vet's office called me with a message that they would not do an Rx as they had already given them to me. I had to call the vet back to resolve it.
On Monday I received two emails stating they received my Rx but they did not have an order and I should contact them to make an order. I called and asked to speak with a supervisor. She offered nothing other than an apology. Because I was not satisfied after her five apologies each time I let her know I was disgruntled, she asked what they could do and I said to send my order overnight. After being put on hold several times, she said they cannot do that. The best she could offer was to send it standard shipping 3-7 days. What she said doesn't jive with the shipping section on their website. Because I ordered in excess of $49 I received free shipping but it takes 5-10 days. So who knows when I will really get the order. The people who answer the phones are like robots. No demonstration of compassion or feelings. Answers are like recordings. Terrible customer service. If the price wasn't so cheap, I would not deal with this company,
Quick and easy so far so good! Saves me a lot of time not having to drive to the clinic although the clinic would match the Allivet price if asked, if not asked their price was $50 more!
I can find the food I want for my dog (that is in stores less and less) and get her month meds for cheap! I love it!
