I had my dog on heartguard since I got her from the shelter 3 years ago. 4 months ago I switched to Sentinel, because it would cover more parasites. 2 days ago I took her to the vet for her annual check up, and the Heartworm test came back positive. Since heartworms take about 6 months to mature, it has to be heartguard preventative that failed. I've researched and it looks like a few people who gave their dogs heartguard found out that the dogs still tested positive with heartworms. I know these products do not deliver a 100% guarantee, but the number of cases is just a little too high. Also, when you go on their website to contact them, it just leads you to a game where you have to look for dogs in a picture. Seems pretty shady to me. Once my dog is done with her heartworm treatment we will never by heartguard again. Also I will never purchase pet medicine online anymore. The heartworm preventative companies will pay for the heartworm treatment, as long as you can prove that you bought the products on time from a certified vet. The $$ savings here are not worth it. The treatment can cost between $800-1800 dollars. I tried writing reviews for hearguard on their website from two different browsers, but none of them would go through, so I'm thinking there is some shady business going on too. Don't buy online, buy from your vet! It will save you money in the longrun.

I have been using allivet.com to purchase my dog's prescription for several months now. When I was compared by prices they were running a special and the rate was markedly less than other similar sites and the vets office. I ordered the first time with no issues. They were prompt at sending the prescription request to my vet and then shipping the meds out. Unfortunately the price was up by the next month but it was still about the same price as other sites and there was no hassle because my information was already on file. Overall I have been satisfied with the prompt service at better or similar rates and plan to continue purchasing here unless the prices just change drastically.

They also state that if you ever need to cancel an order or change the date of delivery to just go online or call and speak to a customer service representative. The product I ordered needed a prescription and all I had to do was put in information and they contacted my pet's veterinarian which is very helpful. Using Allivet is a very easy and wonderful way to shop for your pet's needs. Try it out for yourself and I guarantee you will be pleased with their products and their service.

After the first purchase of Vetoryl at the vet's office, I decided to look online for other options. Even though I know my daughter would pay the vet's price for her Dakota, I wanted to search. I found Allivet, and the veterinarian approved the site. I returned now for the second time, and even though the price is higher than the first time special, it is still much lower than the vet's office. Since Dakota is also on eye meds, I decided to check Allivet for the Optixcare Eye Health as well and ordered it at the same time.

I have two 15 year old dogs who need medication.

One has kidney who need 100ml Saline (Sodium Chloride) every 24 hours which cost me $36 (1000mi) at Vet and I get here at $10.49, and also needls and Iv tube are about half price.

Other has heart disease who needs 4 medications (Vetmedin, Salix Tablet, Sildenafil, Enalapril which will save me more than 50% here.

Vetmedin is so expensive at Vet ($86) but I can get it here at $39.50 for 50 tablets)
I have to give my dog 2 tablets a day.

So if I buy everything from Vet It will cost me around $280 a month, but I can get them here at less than half price.

And their service is great, and shipping is real fast. Even with free standard shipping if they use USPS it will take only 3 days to get here in Las Vegas.
