For a few years now I have been wearing Allbirds wool- and tree runners. Their service in store or online is excellent. The products are of an excellent quality and there is a feeling that they really care about the environment. I love the materials they use especially New Zealand wool. Exceptionally comfortable footwear.
These shoes hurt my feet after wearing for 30 minutes. Tried several times thinking I just needed to get used to them, but each time my foot pain increased. Tried to return them but Allbird would not accept a return because I was 13 days outside their return window. The shoes were barely worn and in very good shape. The best they would do is offer a $10 credit for shoes I bought for $135. Expensive lesson.
The shoes don't wear well, particularly in the toe area…I've worn my toe through on several pairs. Now, I know not to wear them for any distance walking or running. I've been wearing shoes for decades, and literally no other brand of shoes I've owned and worn have my toes popped through the material! I recently purchased a pair of underwear. Their fit was nothing like the photo, even after sizing down, the leg holes were too large, enough to make them unwearable. I then tried to leave a review on their website, but only "randomly" selected customers can leave reviews! What kind of company operates this way?!
Tip for consumers:
Have real, honest reviews that can be submitted by ALL customers

So I have been wearing allbird wool sneakers for one year. Honestly, the shoe is fine. Not great, not awful. BUT, beware that the back of the shoe piles after wearing because it's made of wool-like material. Meaning that the backing gets bumpy and rough. This issue resulted in several blisters on my heal, which sucked. I now have to wear thicker socks to protect my heal.
Last two orders: first one, sent me the wrong size shoes, and the process for returns is bothersome to the customer (they won't just mail a paste on label; I have to print one out, tape it, take to a UPS store not the post office, etc). Next order yesterday - I thought I had completed the order but got an email saying the items were still in my cart. So I re-ordered. You guessed it - that resulted in a double order/ double charge. Called cust serv & she actually chuckled, "yeah those emails go out." Well ha ha ha shame on me for using this company. It's "in transit", they won't recall it, so I'm getting two orders of shoes and_I_ will have to return one before getting a refund. I will not order from Allbirds again.
Tip for consumers:
Don't order from them because there are too many errors and the process is very inconvenient.

I recently purchased my second pair of Men's Tree Dasher 2 sneakers and overall, I'm quite pleased with them. The comfort level is exceptional, just like my previous pair. However, I have a few concerns that prevent me from giving them a higher rating.
One significant issue is that the color of the sneakers is highly susceptible to the effects of sweat. Unfortunately, this means that after a workout or a particularly active day, the shoes can end up looking noticeably discolored. I believe it's essential for potential buyers to be aware of this aspect, as the appearance of the sneakers can be affected by perspiration.
Curiosity prompted me to reach out to customer support when someone at the gym inquired about the discoloration issue. To my disappointment, the response from customer support was unsatisfactory. They insinuated that I must have used bleach or other chemicals that caused the discoloration. It seemed rather illogical, considering the shoes are black, and there would be no reason for me to use bleach on them. This experience left me with a negative impression of their customer service.
Despite the subpar customer support, I find the shoes to be highly comfortable, which is their redeeming quality. I will continue wearing them, but it's important for potential buyers to be aware of the potential color-related issues and the less-than-stellar customer service.
I was past the 30 day return policy and just asked to exchange the shoes. They said sorry they only allow returns up to 30 days. I understand it was my fault for not reading the return policy, but I thought since they were still brand new maybe they would exchange. The woman I spoke with on customer service was rude. Also I purchased a paid of tree dashers and after the 4th time wearing them the toe started to wear out and a hole popped in. The customer service department said it was normal wear and tear and I should size up.
Tip for consumers:
Just try the shoes on as soon as you get them, they all fit different and they are strict about the return policy. Also maybe use some moleskin on the tree dasher, because they will get a hole where your toe is.

Had these shoes just under the 30 day return period thankfully, have sent the man email to get the nasty things returned. They where super soft and comfortable for maybe the first couple days. Then one day after a commute to and from work, I began to notice that my heels really started hurting. When I got home i discovered the heels of my socks had been shredded and my heels had blisters all over them. I changed socks and didn't pay it much mind, until the same thing happened 2 more times before i realized its the shoes ripping my socks and then heels apart!
I didn't experience such pain and discomfort from my previous Uniqlo $30 runners that i abused for over a year. But these $150+ shoes brutally attacked me within a month. Definitely not worth the money.

$95 for Tree Runner model that developed holes in the top of both shoes in toe area. I wore these shoes only in the Summer and Fall and then only occasionally. Allbirds Customer Service told me they would not replace as it was ordinary wear. Oddly, I did not ask for replacement, but rather asked what Allbirds could do for me. Apparently nothing. Sooooo, and as I advised Allbirds (i) they do not understand customer lifetime value, and (ii) I will buy from competitor going forward.

Bottom part is not cleaned well even with the washmachine and bottom is getting ruined easily because of the material. Pictures after washed!
Purchased ALL Bird Men's Wool Runner Mizzles on sale.
The shoe laces are only 42 inch long, correct size is 48min long
Tried to return back but was told the following via e mail.
""we're sorry to hear about those laces! Because these shoes were a part of a special discounted program and final sale, we, unfortunately, aren't able to provide a return or an exchange due to limited supply. We hope you understand. We hope to have a better solution in the future and are always looking to add to our product selections. If you're at all interested, there are some single laces sold on Etsy. We're big fans of supporting small businesses!
When I placed the order, it did not say final sale or non returnable.
Since All Bird has expanded there customer service has been reduced to "CUSTOMER BE AWARE'
I've owned three pairs of allbirds. Not sure why. All have developed quickly holes in the toes. I've ordered each, as suggested, a half-size larger than normal. Whatever lining there is certainly doesn't work. I suppose wearing socks would help but what's the point. Were they $30, I'd just consider them throwaways and buy another pair, but at $95–stupid. I've given them a try—and give up. Save the planet in another way.
The woolen Mizzle is warm and waterproof but not buying again as sole is dangerously slippery. Advertised as having good grip. Incorrect
Tip for consumers:
Check material of all components. Sole important

I bought a pair of white sugar zeffer sandals, wore them under normal walking conditions maybe 5 times and then tried to clean them because they became soiled on the toes straps. I tried the washing machine, hands washing with a towel and scrubbing with Wisk detergent and a toothbrush... there are still soiled. A rep from the company told me this is to be expected because they are made from natural fibers, not the answer I was looking for. After a couple weeks wear these have been relegated to the donation bin.
I was so excited to receive my cute yellow all birds after glowing reviews from several friends about how unbelievably comfortable they are.
Initially when I put them on they were super soft and comfy. The website says it's cool to wear them without socks so I went for a two mile walk with my dogs. About half way in my heels really started to hurt. By the end they were bloody. It's been 4 days and I still can't wear shoes with backs (see picture)
The best shoes for your feet don't need to be broken in or give you scars on your heels before they are wearable. Disappointed.
I had read some articles about these shoes. Good reviews, recommended also for Plantar Fasciitis so I bought one pair to give it a try but I founf out It's just a regular shoes like any other shoes. For 145 euro i was expecting little bit extra ( like piece of gold! Lol :P) but you know what i mean? What i don't like about it is that with in 3 months of purchasing, the shoes has these small fuzz balls (i don't know exactly what it called). But, yes these shoes are light weighted which is plus point.
I bought these shoes over a year ago. The shoes are extremely comfortable with one exception. Where the shoe is tied under the bow and tongue rubs my foot where the ankle and foot meet. Has caused serious blisters that itch and are raw. I tried tying a loose bow but that didn't work. Takes a few days to disappear. I tried wearing socks but the irritation still occurs. Too bad, otherwise a nice shoe.
These are really comfortable shoes, but unfortunately every pair I own has worn out very quickly. The soles lose the tread fast and my toes pop through the top of the shoes after only a few months. I don't wear these shoes every day and I have gotten holes in the toes of 4 out of the six pairs I currently own. For $95.00 I expect much longer use from a pair of shoes. This has happened to both the wool and the eucalyptus shoes. Very disappointed in these shoes.
These shoes are super comfortable and cute and i loved them however i found out the hard way they have no traction on a wet floor. I slipped in these and couldn't regain my balance because the shoe had no grip on the floor and ended up breaking 5 bones in my foot. Sucks i cannot return these as i don't feel comfortable wearing them anymore. So be cautious if you work in an environment that could be slippery (i work in a vet clinic)
I bought the Mizzles because our grass is almost always wet in the morning, and I need a shoe to keep my feet dry. The Mizzle is not that shoe. Whatever water-resistance material it uses is completely insufficient. These shoes soak right through and take forever to dry. Will never buy another pair much as I like the style.
What a hassle of a process to end up with slip ons that are unwearable.
First, they say if you're a half size then they "recommend you size up" (which never works) but I listened since you'd think they'd now what they were talking about. Total fail, they slipped off my feel almost causing me to fall down the stairs in my building. I returned them for an 11 and while the return process was a bit of a hassle, I figured it would be worth it because they seemed they'd be comfortable in the right size (which sadly doesn't exist for us 1/2 size feet people).
The 11 was a bit snug but wearable as I only use them to knock around the house, that is until I washed them. The washing directions are clearly copied and pasted from another shoe since they say "pull out the laces" but these (the slip on Tree Loungers) don't have laces so guess what? They shrunk and don't fit at all now, again because they're 1/2 size too small.
Just make freaking half sizes you idiots! Well, not that I'd ever be buying these again.
I ordered the Tree loungers in a size 8 as the Allbirds website says this pair is true-to-size and doesn't stretch. However, after a few months, mine are so stretched out that I can no longer even wear them. I contacted the company thinking they might be reasonable but was told that they would not exchange them since it was past the 30-day trial window. Obviously, the 30-day window seems generous but is far too brief for their shoes to stretch out from regular wear. No one should pay $95 for shoes that are unwearable less than a year later - will not buy again.
I really wanted to love these shoes. I wear a 9.5 to a 10, so I ordered a 10. The shoe is the correct size because my heel slips up and down, but the toe box is very cramped and my toes hit the end. They are so uncomfortable I never wear them. I thought they might stretch out so I tried them twice. In addition, I can't believe anyone would seriously wear these shoes without socks. I tried it briefly in the hose and it was very sweaty and uncomfortable. I do not recommend. Save your money.
I love the shoes, they are super comfortable, although the style on the lounger is very "granny". I'll wear them but probably with trousers so I can hide them a little.
The problem I have is with their customer service which seems to be a very common complaint. I ordered and chased up after a week to find out they hadn't left at all due to a stock take. Why the hell didn't they email me when they go the order to say there would be a delay.
Will definitely by more merino shoes, but probably not from Allbirds
The 8 was too small, the nine way too big. I Would have liked to have these shoes, but the sizing just isn't right.
I was excited to get my first pair of Allbirds- the Mizzles toppers. Made in the US, eco friendly and, I'd hoped, not your average comfort shoe looks like clown shoe' style (I'm 5'6" and wear a size 9-9 1/2- clown shoes happen!). I'm also in the last year of my 40's, and needed a good walking shoe that could be worn to work. I order, shoes come in, I put them on and swear (out loud, my office is cool that way), it feels like the blasted arch support is on the OUTSIDE of my foot. Walk a bit and it feels like they really want my tootsies to pronate. The arch, unfortunately, felt nothing- alone and unsupported. So, I go to the website and ask the chat function what's up. The response is short and basically came down to everyone's feet are different, you can return them using this link.' I then asked if there was another arch support choice and after a hello, is this thing on' few minutes- get a yeah, you can use another insole. Apparently they are not the ones who supply said alternate insole. At what amounts to $149, I'm neither impressed with the shoe nor, the website and whoever was on the other side of the chat. I'm not sure if I'll try another insole or just send them back. After reading real reviews (rather than the glowing 5 stars only you see on their site) I'm not entirely confident I won't be put some cash here if I do send them back. I guess we'll see. I've tried numerous other brands and never felt the weird lump on the outside of the foot- it's generally too much or too little under the arch and a made in China tag. These are sadly not supportive IRL as their net hype would have you believe. It's a bummer, I hope they work it out- having a good eco friendly made in US shoe would be great. These are just not the ones.
I have had four pairs of allbirds and they have been great. However, my latest pair was made in China and they were not the same quality and the size was off by more than one size.
Tip for consumers:
Do not buy their brands if they are made in China. The quality is not the same.
