My bad experience with Agoda when I booked for my friend 3nights 16january 2022 (for honey moon)and by mistake I don't give attention to choose couple/room coz before was automatically put 2adults, but this smarter want to take more money added option 1 solo (1persom/room only) so I booked by mistake solo so after I confirmed directly I informed them to change to couple room, meant update room only and I will pay the difference, but they don't answer immediately and after said we waiting hotel may be take 48hrs and them reason to cancel booking and get full amount coz my booking is refundable, I'm lucky coz I'm living here in Dubai and I contacted directly city seasons towers hotel and they helped me, so thanks for them... after that I used other application and extended 3nights extra... I never ever deal with Agoda again... so guys be careful... them customer service are very bad, and want only your money till with cheating...
The Hotel canceled my reservation and I don't have an option to get a refund or speak to anyone about it at agoda. The hotel can't refund bc I used a third party. I don't even get an option for my money to be used at a different hotel. Like I get nothing. The chat options don't even address this type of situation at all.
Jeopardised Cancellation Policy for the country with strict Covid entry requirements (PCR test before departure). It's impossible to cancel booking on time with no charge. If you got Covid-positive before departure no refund will be given for whole booking (not even 1st day)! Cancellation and Change Policy: If you fail to arrive or cancel the booking, no refund will be given.
When I informed the hotel about cancellation before check -in time Hotel front officer replied that it's up to my agreement with Agoda and I should contact Agoda directly. When I contacted Agoda customer service officer gave contradictory information that hotel doesnot want to give me any refund. Bad experience. I will never use Agoda service again and definitely won't recommend.
They contacted me after I booked with them asking me to pay double the rate or otherwise they will cancel my booking! What a scam!
Don't trust this site. They don't stand behind their product. My event was canceled due to covid and they refused to cancel my hotel.
What people report on agoda.com is true. They offer attractive deals on hotels, then after your payment, you receive email 2 hours later that "Unfortunately, the booking you attempted to make recently was not completed". But! They never cancel payment transaction, and payment is still posted to your credit card. Good luck to contact them, I could not. Trying to get my money back via Paypal and my credit card. This is obvious SCAM. Folks, use reputable travel agents.
I don't even wanna explain what happened between me and agoda customer service but basically

・make bunch of absurd excuses to get away with their mistakes
・so no sincere

My advice. Just DO NOT USE Agoda.

We recently had to cancel our reservation at the last minute due to covid and William not only assisted with cancelling the reservation, but went the extra mile and contacted the hotel and negotiated us a full refund! Outstanding :)
I went on my honeymoon in November 2021, had an incident with the hotel and they requested I get a refund. Agoda said I would see it in 30 days, never got it, and they always say they don't see my reservation #, and everyone here is foreign. They are rude and full of lies! DON'T USE THEM!
Fort Lauderdale Grand Hotel and Agoda booking work together on stealing your money. Talked to Agoda customer service to get my money back from a hotel I never stayed at. They told me give them 48 hours to fix it and nothing has happened and now can't even get a response from them

@agoda it's the worst site for booking hotels. They take booking but don't provide room. Dear Customers, plz don't use this site for further booking. I booked room in Ayush International on 31st Dec, online payment done, booking made, but didn't provide room neither refund.
I booked the hotel that evening, but when I got to the hotel, they did not have room for me. Their email promised me a refund within 30 days if debit card or the next billing cycle if by credit card. When the charge was still on my account 6 weeks later, I disputed the charge with my credit card company, who had not heard anything from Agoda. My credit card company deleted the charge (And interest on it), but Agoda then reached out me asking why I was disputing the charge. They did not seem to have a record of the cancelation (thankfully I still have the email proof), which I believe they should know about. There is no way to interact with a real human on their chat feature or phone.
On December 29th. I have just arrived to Los angeles with a friend. We have driven so much we had barely had any sleep & was looking a quick place to sleep. We found La Quinta hotel & decided to book it. After booking it I then received an email saying to verify my identity, which I did right after. I then received another email saying it could take 24 hours for verification to complete. I was confused weather our room was booked or not. I proceeded & drove to the hotel. After talking to a RUDE lady at the front desk I then explained to her what happen, with her respond being you don't have anything here for check in. So I ended up leaving & started looking somewhere else to book. I then booked a hotel down the street & was IMMEDIATELY booked. I was then laying down in my new hotel room when I get a notification about La Quinta hotel being confirmed & booked. I then proceeded to call Agoda agent & told me to he will contact hotel to get my refund back. He then got back to me saying no one is reaching the phone. But the agent I spoke to PROMISED my refund back & told me he is going to leave them a email & I should get a response in the next 24 hours. 24 hours later nothing happens. It's New Year's Eve so I figured their probably busy or closed. The point is I tried my best to get my refund as soon as it happen, and the fact that I'm getting my refund "rejected" because it's been more then 1 day after booking & no call no show bull$#*! when I was THERE! And the front desk lady couldn't help me. Very UNACCEPTABLE. Please help me please. Need this money back.
The rate might be good but make sure you read the hotel's fine print, booked a room through them and they didn't mention there being a pet fee, which was as much as the room cost. Bottom line I wasted my money because I couldn't afford to double the amount I paid and I couldn't cancel the room reservation through the site.
Agoda misrepresented everything about the hotel I was staying in, and even flat out lied about my room. I took screenshots before submitting, thankfully and they promised me a shower in my room, but instead, had to use a disgusting "shared" bathroom, which was used by the entire hotel; a dirty tub, with no hot water, and hairs lying all over the place! They also promised free cancellation but denied me my money back. I have to go through my credit card company, because their customer service is NON-EXISTENT!
They don't stand behind their reservation if you go to the hotel and they told you (you don't have a reservation) from agoda then you screwed because agoda will not help you or refund you.
So be careful when you deal with agoda that's what happened to me

My husband and I used this site to book a stay in NYC. The place was disgusting and no one was wearing masks. We were treated by an person under the influence who didn't even work there. We immediately left and called agoda. They were very unhelpful and basically told us they can't help us. As a booking agency there job is to give their customers security in the booking and they failed to do so.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
