I had booked a hotel a month in advance and done the payment. 2 days before the travel date I call the hotel to confirm the booking status as I was travelling with a baby. I was told we're sold out on those dates. Then I called Agoda customer support, he tells me it's not agoda's fault, it is the hotels fault. If I have booked via Agoda, they are answerable. Such pathetic attitude. No one caredv to call and inform me the booking is cancelled. Thank god I was saved from the horror of reaching there and being told no rooms available. But all my planning from one month, leaves from office, all in vain. Never had such an experience with MMT.
Beware this site is like a scam! The customer representatives are lying. Even the supervisor is lying about their actions. They said they contacted the supplier(hotel) about my date change or cancellation issue via phone call and email 3 days and 3 calls in a row, but that was not true. For the fourth call, the (Agoda) agent said they do not have to right to call them! So why they lied? They said they did. All Agoda agents and the supervisor fell into their own mistakes to confirm their own lies.
I called the hotel directly and they confirmed Agoda never called, left a voicemail, or sent an email to them.
They offered a date change on my fourth call, however when I made it clear to them that this call going to be recorded they put me on hold and then disconnected after 45 minutes of waiting. Around the sixth call offered a date change on my reservation again…. However, the system did not take since the original hotel canceled my reservation 3 days ago……. Agoda is full of lies nothing is correct or true what they stated.
Just got off live chat with them, no joy. Somewhere in their terms it says they can fabricate their own exchange rate. My booking 6612 thai baht which today equals 179 euros. Agodas price 213 euros. A full 20% extra. Actual exchange rate has barely changed from time of booking to now. It's a rip off beware of delaying payment til time of travel.
I made a reservation through the agoda website for Thursday 9/22 and when I arrived to the hotel the smell in that room whas horrible. I don't believe no human being will lay on that bed and stay there for 30 minutes: never mind a night. I left 15 munutes later and got a room in another hotel. I called agoda to complain of the condition of the room, and they did nothing to hold the hotel responsible for the hotel poor maintenance and get me a refund.
Please get another site to book your hotel room! They are no a trusted source.
Booking made in error due to name confusion. Agoda algorithms bought up very simialr names hotel in same city (one letter difference)

Agoda says hotel not releasing booking. Hotel said they understood but Agoda had to cancel the booking with them.
I'll never use them, Expedia, or the hotel again, nor Booking.com or any aggregate sites as they are
faceless and not accountable to customers. All bookings should be able to be cancelled within reasonable timeframes or if notified adequately. Even with a fee.
Just book directly, I've had too many problems with site aggregators and need to learn my lesson and so use my experience as a warning.
Terrible service, booked 1 hotel, it showed me it didn't work so I booked another hotel than i got double booking and double change. The "chat" help is absoulstley usless and their phone operators are slow and non helpful answering same robotic wriyteb answers without listening. Delete and never use again
Very bad service. No response from the customer care. They steel the money and never respond. No refund given when hotel people not allowed me to stay as agoda was taking 70% tarif margin
So I thought of using Agoda for the first time, rather than using Booking which I have used many times before. Unfortunately, I had an issue with 1 of the 3 hotels I booked, I was given a much cheaper room, and when I complained to the hotel they showed me the actual booking make by the Agoda agent/partner which was for the cheaper room, so Agoda show on their website the more expensive room which I booked for my 20 years anniversary with a balcony and a river view, and instead I get a smaller room with none of the above. I tried contacting Agoda and they took over 1 week to come back with an offer of compensation for £10 in Agoda cash. I mean how pathetic is that?, No understanding of customer service. I would never take the risk and book with them again, especially since they don't have the decency or the business sense to correct an obvious fault on their part. I just wanted to ensure people know what to look out for if they ever use Agoda.
I landed to agoda.com through Trivago. I made a reservation, and paid the rent. First, the advertised price was £192, but I paid £217. Second, I made the payment to a different client, but not to the hotel. Third, the advertised title was different to the title appeared on the booking. When I arrived at the given address, the property has a different name, and it was locked. There was no reception and/or receptionist. I was confused, so I called a number I was given, the number was unrecognised. I was dark and raining. I called agoda, after couple of emails my reservation was cancelled and the money was taken from my bank account. Now, the advertised the hotel under the name "Stylish Hotel room Wi-Fi Nr Train Jesmond". Stay away from them.
I have booked my vacation through Agoda and my family and kids are super excited about our Maldives trip. Suddenly on the last minute, i get a message saying my trip is cancelled without mentioning the reason. When I call them, they are saying they could not read my card details. I gave all card details few months ago and they could have checked early but they are checking now and directly cancelling my trip without my consent. I have booked my flight tickets and what do I do with that. Zero responsibility, zero hospitality, zero comittment for customers. Very frustrating and disappointing. Please never book anything with Agoda.
The first time a couple of years ago I went thorugh a lot of hassle with the reservation and between the hotel desk and multiple emails and calls to Agoda it want worth it. Stupid me, I tried it again. I asked for a change in reservation and I went through countless emails, phone calls and I was promised they would make it right. I lost my money with them. Had to re-book and pay via another agency to keep my vacation plans. My fault I know for giving Agoda a second chance. Don't do it. It's a scam!
I booked with Agoda on apr 2022 after seeing an offer for approx $231.00 for a two night stay. After I put my credit card information in to their system to book the room I received a confirmation at the rate of $767.82. That was Far off from the rate I agree to, so I try cancelled my booking within minutes after booking it. Agoda now refuses to cancel. Now I am stuck with a large bill for a trip I never took. Do Not Let 'This Happen To You. Stay away from this company. They will Steal your money.

Absolutely nonsense to book through them. At first I thought it was a dodgy website but then I decided to book. We arrived at the hotel and they gave us a completely different room. We booked through Agoda a cabin with a kitchen and toilet in the mountains and the hotel gave us a backpacker room with no toilet... SO AWFUL! The owner of the hotel did tell us that Agoda was a fraud, that they always steal pictures from other websites like expedia or booking and make wrong bookings so they can still get our money... then, we had to pay extra $$ to hotel to upgrade that horrible room. Once reported the problem to AGODA, customer service took a whole week to reply, still not explaining the issue, and after so many emails their answer was to give us "We would like to offer you AgodaCash amount of USD 10.20 as our token of apology due to this inconvenience. Kindly let us know if you are accepting this offer for us to issue it right away,"

I used Agoda.com to book my flight ticket almost two years back and had to cancel my booking after a while. I knew that there will be cancellation charges, but still waiting for my remaining refund amount. Whenever I contacted them I get the same answer that there is delay in getting the payment and will get back soon. I lost hope completely and will never recommend this Agoda platform to anyone. Fraudsters!
I wanted to book a room for me and ky wife for a night. It was booked in an oyo room by agoda and I paid the entire money in one go. But when I went for staying after a long train journey I understood that agoda didn't inform oyo about my booking and in turn oyo also didn't do the same to the property. Finally I was not allowed to stay in the property and I lost the money and stood on the road in the rains with my luggage along with my wife. Agoda's customer care was very pathetic and the calls were being transferred to one another making me more tensed. It was the worst experience of my life. Do not trust Agoda... never use Agoda app.
I booked a hotel with Agoda for my stay in Tel Aviv and then received a cancellation 2 hours later stating a "highly unusual" technical error so I booked another hotel for my stay.
The day before my cancelled booking, I was charged £393.93 for the service I was told was cancelled.
When I called their customer service they told me the error was a duplicated booking and it was MY fault for not noticing it. I was therefore unable to get a refund from either Agoda or the other hotel I had arranged so I am now at a loss for 2 bookings.
When I get to the hotel to check in, the owner tells me that Agoda had told him that the booking was cancelled and that it was no longer valid. After about 20 mins of back and forth with the owner who told me that my room was cancelled, he then told me that the room is available and, just this once as a favour, he would let me use it.
To add salt to the wound:
- In the FAQs for the hotel, Agoda advertises "the continental and buffet breakfast option" at the hotel (which I opted in for on booking). When I asked about breakfast the hotel said they did not do it on Saturdays and I would have to walk to a cafe down town where I could get a coffee and a piece of cake. The breakfast on Sunday at the hotel itself was a coffee and a sandwich. (not quite the continental buffet that Agoda advertises!)
- Agoda advertises the hotel as having a fitness centre. When I asked about the fitness centre, I was told the hotel didn't have one and I would have to walk down the road to the local gym that charges 45 shekels for entrance!
So to summarise:
- I was charged for a cancelled booking
- I was charged for my other booking that wasn't able to refund me
- The facilities were wildly mis-advertised
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!

I paid in online for OYO******* Hotel Embassy Grand Mumbai. I recived receipt from agoda and booking confirmation by mail. It was heavy rain in mumbai, i reached hotel by cab paying Rs. 650. After reaching hotel manager asking Rs 1120. 00 extra to accommodate I was trying to call agoda customer care... But they dont even have a proper customer care number. Then i reached oyo customer care they are not accepting their mistake, they blame agoda. Worst online booking and scam online.
They know people in india will never sue them.

I strongly suggest ppl not to go with agoda. They are not at all trustworthy. They have a very fake scheme of showing low rates taking money put in their account earn interest on that and jst some days before the booking will recieve a mail they can't confirm our booking bz of low rates.nd once I cancel the site is showing me more low rates of same hotel. Nad customer care ppl are so rude that they even can't give assurance that this won't happen again plz ppl don't get caught in this fraud of theirs. I think mmt and goibibo are more trustworthy. I purchased a one night stay in St. Louis through Agoda-a company found through Booking.com but that I had never heard of.
They took my money, said it was non-refundable and when I got to the hotel, I was told that there was no reservation for me. So, I paid using my credit card.
When I got back home to Annapolis, suddenly a charge appears on my bank account through Agoda. So I paid twice for one room and now Agoda is g8ving me the run around saying (after a week) that they can't reach anyone in this huge casino hotel.

The administrator failed to confirm my booking in the evening, claiming they could not see it in their system and stating that the reserved room was unavailable, despite all the correct booking information being provided. Instead, they offered me a different room. At 10 PM on December 31st, traveling with a child, I had no choice but to agree and pay again for the alternative room. I immediately reported the issue to Agoda for assistance. The room we were given was in an unacceptable condition: it was dirty, there were holes in the bathroom walls, and mold was visible. It was nowhere near the standard described in the booking. The following morning, a different administrator located my original booking and refunded the payment for the additional room. However, they falsely claimed that I had stayed in the room I originally booked. This is not true—the room I stayed in differed significantly from the description and photos provided at the time of booking. Despite providing all necessary evidence, Agoda has refused to support my complaint, stating that the hotel confirmed my booking, which does not address the poor service, the forced additional payment, or the unacceptable condition of the room. This experience demonstrates an appalling lack of customer care from both the hotel and Agoda. As a customer, I feel my rights were ignored, and no proper resolution was provided. I expect Agoda to take accountability and address this issue properly, as this level of service is completely unacceptable.
Answer: Well, you probably need to call the customer service online or send them email from Agoda to get a reply. I feel that it was in vain to look for any help or compensation once your reservation has been done. Even the you overlooked some tricky information, Agoda will completely ignore what you said and push the blame to the hotel/property or the users. That is how I feel after trying so sort our the issue. Once a mistake is made, we probably can only eat it. Never expect they will admit any misinformation on line.
