Last month I purchased a total of 7 stretched paintings and, since I have now received 6 of them, I feel that I can post a review. I'm one of the people who one day recently just happened to come across the Leonid Afremov website, immediately fell in love with all of his paintings, and made impulse buys before doing due diligence of reading reviews first. So, when I then started reading reviews and saw some alarming ones, I was extremely worried. Plus, although I understood that I was buying recreation paintings, I had believed that the photo on the website was a photo of the recreated painting that I was buying. I learnt that, in fact, the photos on the website are of the actual original painting and not of the painting that I'd bought. So I got in contact with the Studio and they promised to send me a photo of each painting before they shipped them to me. That felt reassuring to me and sure enough, they did send me a photo of each painting to approve before they shipped it. For three of the paintings, I approved the first photos they sent me. So they were then shipped to me. However I was not fully satisfied with the paintings in the other three photos that they sent me and therefore did not approve them. So the Studio then sent photos of other recreations of those paintings for me to look at and choose from. I was then able to find ones that I approved of and they were then shipped to me. From the beginning, the communication by the Studio with me has always been brilliant and extremely prompt. Both shipments arrived to me here in New Zealand in just one week from Mexico and I could track them all the way which was fantastic. The paintings were packaged up really well and arrived in perfect condition. Of the six paintings that I have received, one is a Limited Edition Original, four are Recreations started by Studio artists and finished by Leonid and one is a full Studio recreation. I honestly love them all! Most of them are paintings of places that we have traveled to (due to Covid, we really miss travelling overseas) and the paintings provide me with bright & happy memories of our times there. I really want to buy more but we have probably run out of wall space now!

Recently I found out about the paintings of Leonid Afremov. My friend told me about them, who was just delighted. I also became interested, although I can hardly call myself a fan of modern art, but what I remember most from the story of my friend is that a low price. Indeed, most of the paintings on this site cost between $ 100 and $ 200. It is this really ludicrous price for a work of art. And then, of course, I had a doubt whether these were real paintings. And I decided to buy one of them myself. Well, my expectations were fully met when I saw how oil paints glisten in the rays of electric light! This is an unforgettable sight!

While I was waiting for my painting, I happened across this website so I was very concerned I had made a mistake. Since there were several recent negative reviews, I felt I needed to share my positive experience. The extremely large painting of Time Square arrived less than 4 weeks after we ordered it, was well packaged and in perfect condition. We paid to have it stretched on a frame and the frame is sturdy and well constructed. Most importantly, the painting is beautiful, bright and fully captures the essence of what Mr. Afremov originally painted. My family and I are very pleased and would buy again from this company

Purchased a recreation of the wonderful "Farewell to Anger" understanding it was not an original, however, even though it was a great work some of the key elements I loved about the original were not captured by the studio as fully as I had hoped. I reached out inquiring about an exchange and David and Boris Afremov immediately responded, extremely kind, and amazingly offered to ship me an exchange right away after sending me a picture first to confirm if it was acceptable, as well as gifting me the original recreation for the trouble at no additional cost. The exchange received was absolutely breathtaking and arrived almost immediately, I could not be more pleased! Thank you so much for the amazing customer service care and continuing Leonid's great legacy!

After a trip to Italy, I wanted to buy a painting depicting this country. In the collection of Leonid Afremov I found many such paintings. Almost all of them abound in a huge amount of bright colors. For a long time I could not choose a suitable painting, but in the end I stopped at Colorful Night Harbor. To be honest, I don't even know which country is depicted on it, but what's the difference? The main thing is that it gives me pleasure!

After long contemplation I decided to buy some original works, which I just received. I love them; completely different experience from buying recreations (see earlier review). They could have been a bit more careful with the packaging, but I'm very happy. Original reciew from November 30th, 2020 (1 star):
A picture is worth a thousand words, so please look at the comparisons. Even with the refund, ordering these (mediocre) paintings has cost me a lot of money (and time). I think you have to get lucky, but honestly, I would never order from their website again. If you do; insist on seeing the paintings that will be sent to you beforehand.

Im so happy that I found this store because i had access to get a wonderful piece of art from the famous Leonid Afremov. I feel so grateful! I'll chose my next one :)

Good afternoon! I would like to tell you about the work of the art studio. I really liked that on their website the selection of paintings is very large, the prices are quite reasonable, promotions are regularly held and a painting can be bought at a big discount. The paintings are varied, you can choose to your taste :) For example, I decorated the corridor with my painting, I have an empty wall there. Now it has become very lively and not boring. Thanks for your work!

I ordered an original recreation of Michael Jackson done by Leonid himself only to receive a painting from an amateur that did not resemble the original at all or even look like MJ. I reached out to the studio and had difficulty getting a response. When they finally responded, I was told there were no more original recreations and so it was done by artists in the studio and would vary from the original. This is not what I ordered and is fraudulent. I have bought from them prior to Leonid's passing and had no issues. I do not believe that if Leonid were still alive that he would allow this to be happening. Customer service is rude, and the Afremov studio does not seem to care they are ripping people off and tarnishing Leonid's name... truly shameful.
