I placed an order with Affordable Lamps, who promptly put it onto my credit card. This is as one would expect. Immediately upon placing the order, I realized my order was done in error, so I emailed Eric, the person whose email was on the recording, and he responded shortly. This morning, I reviewed my credit card online, and see that the charge is not on my account any longer. This was all very professional, so despite the bad reviews I have read about this company, I have been treated fairly.
Interior design is my obsession; and I recently moved in to a new place that was pretty much a blank canvas for my creative visions! I was looking to replace the existing fixtures with some new (inexpensive!) ones to freshen up the decor. I found affordablelamps.com online, and they had exactly what I wanted at a reasonable price! I had a couple of questions--so I used their customer service line. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and my orders arrived without a hitch! I highly recommend the Affordable Lamps team.

AffordableLamps.com sent me defective and unusable merchandise, took 2 months to give me a refund, and held back a hefty shipping fee for the return even though a comparable replacement product was not available. This is a very disreputable company. Customer service is unresponsive and rude. Beware.
Hello Kathleen, I realize this is dated but we never charge a fee for returning defective merchandise. We've also improved our return process and refund time. If you ready majority of our reviews, they are positive and we are in no way rude to customers.
Answer: Seems OK to me, but I have limited experience. You will want to check all the reviews and use your own judgment.
