“One year ago we ordered a hobbit wig from this company...”

One year ago we ordered a hobbit wig from this company for my son's halloween costume. When it didn't arrive in time for his party we called and found out it was backordered. We cancelled the order over the phone and were very surprised today, when almost 1 year later it arrived in the mail. Customer service was not very helpful. The only thing they will do is refund the cost of the wig, but we are stuck with the $11 shipping cost for an item we don't want, can't use, and cancelled. They did mention that none of the customer service reps from last year are still employed by the company- so clearly there were some issues and yet since the rep didn't follow through and cancel the order we get stuck with the bill. Many of the companies I typically order through make contact with the customer if an item is backordered- particularly for a lengthy amount of time- to see if the item is still wanted. Not helpful and certainly not concerned about serving the customer. My business will go elsewhere!
