So, I had decided to pull the trigger and try out this site. Wow, what a massive disappointment. So, let's talk about that.
I decided to go with the gold account. I actually only wanted 1 month to try it out. But, for some odd reason AFF billed me for 3 months. Well, it is what it is. I figured I could be there for a bit and see how things went.
So, I logged in and started surfing. Now, the city I live in is a mid sized city. About 52k in population. So, you'd think there'd be a few people to choose from. Not really. There are a LOT of inactive accounts. And I mean a LOT. I would say that for every account that looks active there's 10 that aren't.
Then there's the fake accounts. Those outnumber the inactive accounts. It's absolutely crazy.
So, after a couple of weeks I said well, that's that. I contacted customer service to talk about deleting the account and a refund for time owing.
Well, that turned out to be something different.
They were happy to delete the account. I literally typed "I'd like to delete my account. How soon can I expect the refund for the balance owing?" and the agent had deleted my account and closed the chat conversation.
Did I get my refund? No. I'm out about $90 for this.
So, would I suggest you try this site? Well, if you like fake accounts, inactive accounts and a company that rips you off? Then sure. This is the place for you.

I am a 30yr old single mother with two kinds so meeting new people can be very tricky. Right now, I have absolutely no time to get into a serious relationship. But even meeting men for no strings dating is also a challenge because Idon't have time to go out in bars and clubs. So I joined the world of no strings internet dating.

I created a profile on some of the top no strings dating sites (Aff and CasualDating4u of course, tried a few other sites as well but in my opinion those were the best) and started browsing the member base.

It's not an easy game for women. I know most people think that once a woman joins a no strings site she will easily find a good looking guy but it's much harder than I thought. You have to weed through many perverts and weirdos. Many guys complaining that men need a lot of patience to finally meet someone nice. Well, it works the same way for women, belive it or not.

Anyway, after using Aff and CasualDating4u for a few weeks I finally found some nice guys I chatted with and certainly will meet them if I have some time. People keep saying that no strings internet dating is shady but it's really not. There are few nice guys you can have a good time with. Just don't give up and don't allow the weirdos and perverts to scare you away.

The site is relatively serious compared with others, but has SEVERE issues when dealing with fake and multiple profiles. Complaints are responded with standard templates, profiles reported with evidently wrong gender and documented fake pictures from other sites are not taken action upon, and repeated multiple profiles of "gold" users are tolerated and not investigated even when clear evidendence is given. Users that continously report such cases are blocked. Terms of use are abusive and legally questionable - the page is authorized to block any user without need of any justification, nor possibility to confront such decision - and IPs of such "conflictive" users are blocked so they cannot use the site in the future.

Take this site as-is, do not expect a real consumer service and even less, a stringent policy regarding fake and scam. Yes - action is taken on "light" cases but not on the really relevant ones that scam dozens or hundreds of users. With decent common sense on these points, you will find more "real" contacts than anywhere else - but that's about it.

AFF was popular from 2003-2012. In fact, back around 2007-2008 or so I read a study that said 5% men in the USA had an active profile on AFF. That's not considering all the men that tried the site and then deleted their profile. However, what I noticed about AFF back in those times is it was mostly used by Gay and Bi men. Some of them were open about being Gay, but there were quite a few that pretended to be straight. I'm not Gay or even Bi, but I quickly figured out that a Gay Male could quickly find what he was looking for on AFF. So my opinion of AFF is the site itself was in the closet. It was marketed towards Straight Men, but AFF worked better for Gay or Bi Men and Trans Women.

I prefer Trans Women and back then AFF was the best site on the internet for meeting a Trans. I was on AFF from 2006 to 2011, but eventually I met someone and we agreed to become exclusive.

Eventually that relationship came to an end and I tried AFF again in 2019 through early 2020. Boy... did AFF become a Ghost town. Almost all of the Trans women are gone, except for a handful of Crossdressers. It took a month, but I noticed a lot of the people on AFF were hold-overs from the mid-2000's. AFF has been replaced by Free Apps, Free website, and sites that use GPS to track people.

Anyone that's younger might not know what the online meet market was like throughout most of the 2000's decade. Most sites operated on monthly subscription format. Anyone could sign up for free, but those users were blocked from sending emails unless they paid anywhere from $20-30 a month. Adultfriendfinder still operates this way.

I was a member of one of AFF affiliate sites for almost a year. I had pretty good success with the site. I had met several women who matched what I was looking for. Yes, I got results!
Most people signing up are looking for the perfect person whom they dream about. STOP RIGHT THERE. First of all many of the women and men on the site are REAL but they are not perfect. They are who they are. Those of you who do get responses fail to understand that the woman there receive a hell of a lot of email. They will respond to the ones that appeal and weed out the ones that are jerks, crude, vulgar. Most of the woman do not want to discuss sex the first time you email them, They want to get to know you as a person first and if they like you they will let you know. Don't be an asshat right off the bat. Show you have respect. Make it clear on your profile you know what you want and what your looking for and again be very respectful. Know how to take NO for an answer. Do not be superficial. Yes there are some not so good looking women on the site but if you come on there with an attitude basing your expectations on looks you will not get anywhere on there. Do not join with preconceived notions. Go with the flow and take your time. Its worth the wait.

I am not a paid review. I just had a good experience using the site. Just passing along how I did it. I left the site because I could no longer afford to stay on as a member. Would I rejoin, HELL YES!

This site is a ripoff and a waste of time and money for any man I sent out over 325 friends requests and instant messages to lots of women 97% didn't respond back over 6 ask for my face pic when I sent it they never wrote back or responded I let them know my nationality and said if it was an issue to let me know none responded back I sent out my email my cell out only a few sent me 1 email to say hello ask me questions and then they never write back none called or text me back only 4 emails I received and when I tried to keep that going they never wrote back I believe adult friend finder has workers who act as members so they keep the talk short and never respond back km canceling my membership asap k bought the monthly membership on april17th from that day I kept checking and responding to women profiles & pics for nothing please let everyone see my review

If you think that this site is legit, ask yourself how many girls could you walk up to on the street and ask to see their $#*!? The punches in the face you would get would far outweigh anything that you would see. Why would anyone expect to see hundreds and hundreds of them showing it here? These are the same ripoff artists that will tell you that Ashley Madison isn't a scam! How's that working out? Not too good. The hackers didn't take them down for no reason. They need to get working and clean the rest of these pigpens out! Most people won't admit to being robbed by one of these sites. I was one of them that was. Had to close my checking account, and cancel my credit card. By the time that I realized that all these profiles and pictures can't be real, it was too late. It isn't too late for you, if you pay attention. These are thieves. All these sites are linked. Check out the overseas addresses of them. Why are so many from Cypress? Malta? Nigeria? That's where your credit card information is going. Good luck with that. They sign you up with other scam sites and dip into your account to pay for them. Then it's up to you to get rid of them all. They were charging me for 3 sites before I could stop them. They use outside billing agencies as stooges to do their dirty work for them. If hacks take the site down, your name, checking, and credit information goes up for all to see. If you like being spoofed with fake profiles, stolen pictures, and endless email addresses that end with xyz, or fooled with bogus phone numbers and 3 word messages, these sites are for you. If not, take the advice and stay away.

Others went through same issue and have filed complaints at various sites. Adultfriendfinder charged my Visa almost $40 more than advertised 3month gold plan.

Well I tried signing up for this website that was recommended by PH. In less than one week, account was deleted, and billed without consent even auto pay was turned off. I bought the $2.00 demo to see if it was legit (2-day trial), looked at everything, everything was good but was only able to use it for 10 minutes, and then was told to spend around $30-$40 to get full access. Not sure how that's a 2-day free trial, so I just waited for any matches to pop up that I selected during those 10 minutes. Because everything is blocked by a paywall other then names, so it wasn't worth it when there were other apps available. Couple days later, added a photo to get verified, didn't log in long, just uploaded an image. Waited next day, got email, bank tells me I am being charged for $30, which I am pretty sure I turned off auto pay, even deleted my card in their system, because I didn't trust the website having 1/5 stars. Wrote an email about my complaint, looks like they just copied and pasted their "common issues." Helpful showcase to avoid being scammed, if your bank doesn't regulate your pays.:)

So... thanks to reading a few awesome reviews here & on other review pages I decided to give the thing a try when you use multiple dating sites instead of just the one to boost your chances & up the old success rate. I knew I had to be doing something wrong as these sites seem to be doing really super business everyone is using them! The guys at work, my younger brothers college buddies, the divorced dads on the baseball team I coach you freakin name it! So I added this one to hookuphangout a site that had served me best out of the ones I was using on a solo basis & things are really starting to pick up for me now. No kidding, I would go weeks on some other sites without so much as a REPLY! Never mind sex or as much as a hummer! I was like WTF $40 dollars a month for wasting my goddam time every night! But now ive got three sites that I like and work well for me its super easy to see how some guys were getting serious action through this stuff. I spend free time adding info to my profile page & update my pics every once in a while. I also try not to copy & paste my messages to women on the site, I prefer to read their info & try to make a funny comment (humor gets women horny, its a known fact guys!). Like I say things are picking up & im turning it all around now in terms of getting replies & arranging nights out. It took me a while to get it right but now ive figured out the best strategy im feeling a lot better about things. Would recommend this method without a doubt, dont see why it wouldnt improve your chances of getting laid anywhere in the states.

It's more broken and JANKY after they invited Andrew back to improve the site. He is an incompetent programmer. I have purchased about 1 year of membership over the last 15 yrs. I joined and quit multiple times. It's a great place for men who call themselves straight but like to post and view pictures of other mens' penis. About the time of the pandemic it became almost 100% fake on the women's side and that continues. Their support is all offshore, so the employees might be making some extra cash by creating scam profiles. I emailed 800 people last summer, and got back about 500 emails that were clearly pasted or robot responses. They did not correspond to what I wrote. I think 1 or 2 of them was appeared to be written by someone who understood what I wrote. I also got back 2 that were Tagalog for F U. My copy and paste email was implying they did sexual things with their pets. The scam seems like something a 13 yr old child would write. But men do fall for it and there is always guys like the one pictured. He paid extra for that VIP status (yet knows most here are fake) and it's clearly not going to help him meet anyone. Perhaps he too enjoys men admiring his penis. A lot of delusion here. There will be 1 in 500 women, who are real, they also appear to be 400plus lbs and it on here for compliments. These men are very very complimentary to anything they think is a sexual option. Also, the more tasteless the womans' pics the most likely it's legit. See 20 shots taken 2 inches from a vagina,see methed out skanks, and poor picture quality. That's an AFF winner. The site is also very JANKY and they have no interest in fixing it. The messenger is inoperative, Other ongoing bugs: you get a notice on emails in DEC but it was sent in April. There are profiles that show they were online a month ago, but they added friends yesterday, etc. These have been reported and never fixed. They let the idiot Andrew make some changes and he broke about 100 things that worked to add 10 new features.

It's frustrating. It lacks a lot to be desired.
I will never use it again. My experience overall bad.

I wrote a scathing review about this site about 3 years ago, but things have changed fortunately! Check it out! It's improving all the time.
