Ive been a member of this site for almost 20 years its changed ownership about 10 I remember when it was free for everyone now you cant even view a profile now with Craigslist shutting dow its personals section they now went up 10-15 dollars in membership price...
AFF is far from the worst casual dating website I've tried out, but it's also not the best (see hookuphangout.com or tinder for better experiences). I like the fact that there are lots of women and the mobile app works really well, problem is that there are a lot of guys too:-( Still, if you're not scared of competition then I would say try it out.
Now that Craigslist removed personal ads, reliable hookup sites like Adultfriendfinder and CasualDating4u are even more important. I know they ain't perfect but with all the scam sites out there those are the only legit options left. Keep it up guys.

Been using AFF for years but I sometimes pause my membership and switch over to hookuphangout for a bit. Now with it being the festive season women will be completely gagging on meat and two veg, which has me totally f-ing confused as to which site to go for. This is all you get after you spent an hour on your profile setup (totally nice text and a photo) and $40 on the upgrade. Got no chance even to do my first search. Total BS. Stay away.
I left this site everyone who contacted me turned out to be a scammer and worse when two woman contacted me using pics I recognized as porn stars I sent a email to aff telling them about this and aff even when I told them who the pics were of did nothing about it they left the scammers in site to pray on and steal people's money
The ratio of men to women and couples must be about 50:1 so don't expect wonders. Spend at least half an hour looking at other profiles and spend another half an hour composing your own profile. It is worth the time. Most profiles are inadequate and far too brief so no suprise why they never hookup with anyone. IMHO don't waste your time on other hookup sites than Aff or CasualDating4u. Most of them are simply useless.
If you can get past the hundreds of thousands of fake accounts, then you run in to the problem of search not pulling up viable candidates. The site seems to have been slapped together by disgruntled Junior High school students being forced to do a mid term project to pass. If you want your private pictures to become available to internet hackers, and traders, then this is the site for you.
Last month was the first in a while I haven't got laid using AFF... I was like WTF but im keeping my cool reading these comments because a helluva lot of y'all aint been laid often ($#*!, some not at all) using the sites that work well for me (i'd also include hookuphangout.com on my top list). I see that is used for verification for dating sites sometimes - that is the lure, as well as meeting people. I have met people on it in the past with fun results although it wasn't easy.
Now the problem is the membership enrollment. It's supposed to be simple. They have choices laid out with accurate breakdowns on costs.
So I asked for a simple 1 month membership ($25) + 1 month of extra benefit to allow non-subscribers to write ($20). I clicked the correct buttons issued but there seemed to be a delay. I got another screen with all of the extras listed. I clicked the same choice as before ($20 option) and continue. It gave me the same screen again but this time, no continue. So I simply clicked the no, thanks button to get out, thinking if there is an error, at least I won't get charged. Instead I get slapped with a $60 3 month membership charge from a different site (something hookup instead of the discreet name they promised to bill under)!
I immediately called customer service. Took 10 minutes, then I got thru. They verified me and after explaining what happened, they apologized and said all they could do was give me the 1 month membership billed at a higher rate of $29.99!
Needless to say, I told them to cancel the whole order.
So... if you want to have a more costly order charged instead of what you want... and don't mind being charged even more if you ask for a correction, choose AFF.
Aff is easy and straightforward. Some people are real, some people are not. Same as on other good hook up websites like CasualDating4u. Gettin laid ain' easy but it's possible. In my opinion Aff is no scam!
So, I tried it out to see if I can get some action. Not only did I not get any action, I never got any meetings of any kind. I would reply to profiles and had some talk but no meet and have bedroom fun. So, I decided to let my subscription expire. A couple of days later, I got a reply from one of my older contacts on the site. Wait, you waited for me to no longer be on the site to reply to me? Sounds like a website trick to get people to pay for another subscription in order to see the message. When I logged in, I was able to see it and replied with an email address. Waited a couple of more days and logged back in. Now I can't see the email and back to a basic membership. No reply from the contact and just reaffirms that the site only has fake profiles who bait and switch you for money with unfulfilled promises of getting laid. Saw a lot of swingers profiles of the same group who don't reply back and the website doesn't flag or remove. Don't waste your time and money there like I did.
I was all paid up and after setting up my profile, my account was deleted without any prior warning or reason. I am not a sexual deviant or predator or pedophile. I paid for gold membership for one month and the account was deleted within 24 hours, no refund. My profile on the site was very mild with only a face shot - so there was no problem with my profile!
I'm still not convinced AFF works but my mates all say it does. Personally, I had more luck on hookuphangout.com, got more replies and met a girl for drinks a few weeks back. But trying this one as it's meant to be 'the best'. Time will tell I guess.

Add is probably the worst scam site on the web every yes every woman in my inbox has been a scammer from just fake profiles to guys pretending to be girls. Was messaging one woman that seemed genuine until I checked on the friends tab and found her profile has three different people on it from at least for different countries.
Never ever pay for the site go to your local pub you'll have more luck.
