Well, I took a photography class many many moons ago. I remember I liked it. We even had a dark room and developed our out pictures. Well, since then I've always wanted a big camera just never had the time or money. These guys made it easy for me to say yes. As the lowest price and best customer service, I got my new a7. So I'm getting the hang of it but so far I love the quality and the definite (unknown yet) potential. Highly recommend this camera shop.

Everyone I interacted with was super-helpful, patient and light-hearted to my novice questions after getting rid of my SLR. They didn't push any items on me, I was given comprehensive pre-order advice and packing with extra foam that my contents could survive a Gaza missile strike! Highly recommend for photographic equipment and optical accessories.

My initial impression of the store is very positive. I will primarily use this RF 100-500 f 4.5-7.1 L IS USM lens to shoot wildlife so to have a lens with that much reach that is relatively light is a pleasure. The very knowledge staff and hyper efficient purchasing system means you get in and check out with what you need like a bat out of hell! I've been visiting 42nd Photo for more than 30 years and always go back because they have evolved with the times and are still the best.

Right from the start, the customer service was second to none and I was kept up to date on each stage of my order. The pricing was surprisingly cheaper than other main camera stores for such a good Sony camcorder, Highly recommend 42nd street photo for any of your photography needs.

On their website they have great prices. Once you place a order they send a email stating they need to talk to you regarding your order.My camera price was around $1500, great deal. They called and said, that is the "International Version" with no warranty. My price shot up $500 more. I sent a email and inquired about a SD card, not to place a order but only ask. Apparently they store your credit card information WITHOUT your consent and in checking my bank account they charged me $200 for a SD card without my permission. Although they have a great selection, ship fast, be aware of how they do business.

Based on BBB reviews and my own experience they list cameras on the site at hundreds lower, customers order the camera.

Then they email you and say you ordered the international version (nothing on the site suggests that) that doesn't have the same features and "won't work". You can upgrade to the domestic version for $300 ($100 higher than other stores).

This is what happened to me, I told them to cancel the order, he said there would be a 5% charge. I told him I would refute the charge.

In the end no charge was made at all - so they are just wasting time and trying to make money by scamming and lying to people without being flagged by banks etc.

Avoid the headaches and don't support these people.

Sony A7RIVA ordered. I was fully aware it was a grey market camera with no warranty.Matthew called to tell me it was cheap because it was in Chinese and had no wifi.Grey market is supposed to be the same as USA camera without the warranty,the only difference. I also paid to overnight the camera and he said UPS doesnt deliver on friday or the weekends,lol. I said cancel it then and he said he already had never charged my card.He hung up on me. Then tried to call back.I am really sick of unethical businesses.I have been a photographer for 50 years.I know the scams.I will no use 42nd,it used to be a good store, and I suggest anyone using them be very aware they are lying.

I have to admit I was a little panicked with the reviews but the Canon 5D Mark IV is up to snuff. We purchased this camera body, went for the full pack with all the extra trimmings to top it all!
Didn't pay the extra for delivery and I have to say I was very impressed. The tracking app was great. All in all a really good price! What more can anybody ask for!

And link continued to give Friday throughout
The weekend and eventually arrived the next
Tuesday morning. Having no clue where your
Expensive camera is and reading negative
Reviews (irked people sticking the boot in) caused
A lot of worry. It's not 42nd Street Photo's fault, but
It would be nice if there were some options on how
They'd send order to you

Family run stores still seem to have an edge over corporate stores because of the level of service - and that's why i like to spend my time and money at 42nd PHOTO. Phenomenally helpful staff. I felt comfortable popping in and asking questions. Genuinely learnt a couple of basic things about some products I was working with. I've felt in other Camera stores that I can get judged for not knowing the right words. This was not the case here. I genuinely cannot recommend it highly enough.

This Canon EOS C100 Mark II is a very solid camera right here. Well built with lots of features. I particularly like the built in ND filters, I found it super helpful when filming outside. Just a fantastic piece of equipment. Worth every red cent. 42nd PHOTO had the camera to me in a matter of days. Would highly recommend!

I acquired the Fujifilm 16/f2.8 this week for travel and discreet street photography. For a portable kit, this lens pairs with my X-pro and allows me to shoot discretely in street photography. Will be permanently mounted on my camera. Fast focus and ultra sharp pics. It's edge to edge sharp with minimal distortion. Excellent fine lens and typical fine Fuji quality. Excellent and very friendly service from 42nd Photo's team.
