1800 Pack Rat

They did not show up with my container within the ETA givin. I had to call and they said that the containers didn't get delivered to the facility so they were unable to deliver it. Yet they didn't call to tell me that. They said they could not tell me when it would get delivered. So I am moving across the country and have to have my stuff out of my house and fly out 3 days from then. Worst possible scenario from a place that does this for a business. I was forced to cancel and luckily I was able to get a container from pods on the day before I had to fly out. It also cost me $500 more on top of having less than a day to pack my whole house. Whole thing was a nightmare experience. When I asked if I could get compensation for having to pay extra to another company they said the only compensation I could get was no cancellation fee. Really? Go with PODS, it's a little more expensive but 100% reliable. Stay away from Pack Rat. It's not worth the risk.

Wish I could rate them lower than 1 star. They sound good and have better prices up front but all their hidden fees add up quick. Not very upfront with the an accurate final cost. We've had nothing but problems with this company every step of the way. Alway late to pick up and late to driver.

I confirmed with them 4 separate occasions that the driver would be here on the 6th to pick up the empty pod so we could free up the driveway and unblock our single car garage. We currently have to pay for parking our cars elsewhere and then hoof it back to our complex. I'm trying to find out a way to start charging them for storing their pod at my house now.

After spending an hour and fifty minutes on hold, finally got through to someone. Turns out the driver was over hours yesterday so they didn't come nor did they give a courtesy call to inform me. They now claim they are going to "try" to squeeze me in today or tomorrow. Complete nightmare and worse resolution.

Also, even though they claim to offer 24/7 customer service min-fri, that's a lie. They're also on east coast time and close at 10pm. With a drop off/pick up windows from 8-10pm, if anything happens or you need to contact them after they close their phone lines, you're screwed and on your own.

Terrible company and would not recommend to my worst enemy. Do not use Pack Rat unless you want to get screwed and want a headache.
