I ordered an Ultepap device for travel. Doctor's office provided a prescription. First issue was that it took several attempts for my doctor's office to get a fax through. When they called 1800cpap, they were told "keep trying." This isn't a good response to give a doctor's office, as they are likely to give up, requiring the patient to intervene.
Given the long delay and seeing that my order continued to be on hold, I had to contact the doctor's office. That is how I learned of their trouble getting through. They told me that they had finally succeeded in getting the prescription e-mailed, so as far as they knew, 1800cpap should have what they needed.
My next step was to contact 1800cpap to find out why my order continued to be on hold. They told me it was on hold because they only had a prescription for an EPAP mask. Hello? That is what I ordered. So, the prescription for what I ordered was sitting there, and the order was waiting, and it took me following up for them to get matched. At least they understood the issue and got the order shipped promptly after I followed up.
So, the initial order took way more babysitting than I expected.
My other concern is that there are supposed to be replacement valves available for the Ultepap, and 1800cpap does not carry them. This means the patient has to buy another starter kit, which includes 3 sizes of inserts and presumably costs more than simply being able to purchase the parts needed.
Immediate and satisfactory resolution of my problem (which wasn't their fault to begin with). Buy with confidence.
Just wanted a spare tub for the "just in case" moment. I usually get this free through Medicare and my Supplemental Insurance, but didn't mind spending the $29.00 for the purchase and very quick delivery. Price was extremely fair, since I notice companies charge Medicare an outlandish price. Thank you!
Hello. There's nothing wrong with the machine, but it didn't work for me. I am a mouth breather, so I had to buy a full face mask. The unit would start out fine and I would fall asleep. Then, when it ramped up all the way, my mask and cheeks would inflate and wake me up. So it's in my closet with all the other devices that haven't worked. I've resolved that I will live with apnea and try to make do.

They were only too happy to take money from me for a Nasalaire II system when they knew good and well they didn't have any more of the systems neccessary parts and weren't going to stock them anymore, meaning that the things I went ahead and ordered- I wasn't even going to be able to use them. They allowed me to think that they were just temporarily out of stock. Get your act together people. They did nothing at all to rectify the situation. They just took the money and ran after I followed up to try to solve the issue. Not impressed.

In some cases, people that purchase products from us can submit a claim to their insurance for reimbursement on their own behalf however we cannot bill Medicare or private insurance. Hope this helps.
