This company does not typically respond to reviews
I was able to easily send numerous ecards without any issue and without a request for any financial info. I believe many of the poor reviews here are actually about other similarly-named sites!
What an absolute rip-off! You wasted my time by misleading me into signing up with a "promised" free option. Not until I went through the whole process do you drop the bomb that you have to pay. This is false advertising & very disappointing. I even googled how to find the free cards. There were NO free options that I could find on this ripoff site. Don't tell people something is free when it is not! I used to like these e-cards, but I won't make the mistake of wasting my time again! Very Dissatisfied Customer
I tried a web search with only "123greetings". The result was the first 2 pages were all positive reviews. And they were all from 123greetings.com. That was a red flag for me.
Then I tried "123greetings scam", what a surprise. All negative reviews popped up. Only one said "beware of a similarly named site that is a scam". Guess who it was from. Yep. 123greetings.
I think they would do better if they went into the SEO business.
Tip for consumers:
I am super cautious when it comes to unsolicited email. I always web search both just the URL and the URL plus the word "scam" before clicking on any such link.
My experience is that about half of the unsolicited emails come from suspect sources, and this was one of them.

Nothing. A web search of the company convinced me that this was not a trustworthy company.

This service is confusing upon sign up. You don't realize if you forget to cancel in the seven days they charge you $30 for a year and their policy is no refunds. And although it says $2.50 per month that is also confusing because that is based one dividing the year fee into to 12 months. Eventually they did provide me a refund after they had told me they could not. So I have updated this review accordingly.
There is nothing much lower than a business that commits to providing a service, makes you fill out several boxes of info, and then at the end demands your credit card number to start a 'free' trial that you'll undoubtedly have difficulty cancelling. This is a dirty way to operate and if a company pulls this crap, they will pull other crap as well.

E-card that was supposed to be free, but is not.
This site has not worked since the week before Christmas, when the most cards are most likely to be sent. You can customize your choice of card with your own additional words to the recipient. Unfortunately, when you hit the send button, all you see is a constant rotating buffering circle going around infinitely. Their Contact Us button is nothing more than a list of FAQ's. Like I said, this site really deserves a rating of 0 stars but 1 star was as low as I could rate the 123greetings.com website. Truly sad how bad this website has become!

I took the 7 day trial and cancelled after 2 days as the card didn't arrive. I was then charged for a full year and not per month. Even though I cancelled I did not receive any confirmation of this and when I checked my account was still live. Very poor would not recommend

It is trickery to have me spend an hour choosing A FREE CARD
And then refuse to send it unless MONEY is paid.
If you dare to use their 7 days supposedly free trial, then don't. They make it very difficult to cancel your membership and when you contact them on day 7 they tell you that your subscription has been renewed for 12 months but you can shorten it to 14 days and they still charge you for £7.99 for that...
There is no number to contact them only by email and of course you don't receive a response on time to cancel during the free trial!... be warned!
Beware of how 123 ecards manage subscriptions. I only sent 1 so called free card. Got charged $49.92 for a full year.
Was looking for a pick me up card for a friend to send online... but what comes up as free for this service is not actually free. Beware of False advertising!
Neither I nor my recipient received the e-card sent for a 70th bday. This was organised for the 7th of February to be sent that very day. Cost $9.95. I would dearly like to know why this happened (or didn't happen). I don't think I want to use this site again.
Had sent my wife an Anniversary scarf using your website. The card was delivered, but can't open it after typing in card message number. Tried to find the sa! E card, but not found! Waste of time! Don't use!
I sent my Mom 2 eCards for her birthday and mother's day and she didn't get either one. I contacted company and they insisted that they did send her the ecards which is a complete lie. 123 greetings sucks!
Signed up for a "free trial" but was charged $30 because I cancelled "2 hours" after renewal. Do not be taken in by this deceitful company.
My brother writes he sent a Mother's Day card to me but you didn't deliver it and it is NOT in spam nor trash.
I would give you a ZERO!
Date promised but not delivered.
Because I was not able to leave my home to purchase the anniversary wishes card, I was pleased to find your service but I will definitely not recommend your service or make use of it again. So sad to have missed the occasion, a family milestone.
I have an old email address which is not connected to my mail host software. I access it via webmail. The other day I received an email from 123 Greetings.com at that old email address. After I opened it, they suddenly have my new email address, which I have never provided them with and never used to open an account with them. In fact, I do not use that email address for such purposes at all, and yet, 123Greetings.com have it (and are using it to spam me) coincidentally after I opened an email from them at another account.
Even if your "free trial" is for a basic membership and is canceled they will still charge you for $29.88 - a yearly premium membership. Do NOT use this site.
A massive ad site disguised as a greeting card. Your greeting is embedded in a string of ads. Hard to tell the greeting from the surrounding advertisements.
Do yourself a favor and don't use this service on Father's Day I sent my 86 year old father who was out of town a ecard with this service which he never received keep in mind they sent me a email saying the card had been sent and they would email me once he opened it when I had not heard from him the day after I called he said he never received it I emailed the company they have yet to respond but didn't waste time sending my father advertisement for their cheap little unprofessional email card business this is totally unexceptionable if you don't want to come off looking like Uooooooboooooo the fool go to the store early buy Hallmark and mail it through the good old reliable postal service and save yourself the headache my true rating for this business is a negative 50 and that is being generous
I have used 123 Greeting over the years. This year when you complete composing your greeting & try to send, you are given 2 options to PAY! Otherwise, you can't send the card. WHAT'S ALL THIS ABOUT!
FALSE ADVERTISING!
So disappointed in what I thought was an honorable & reliable company.
I foolishly signed up for a free 7 day trial, & foolishly gave them my CC number to do so, (this should be against the law btw, insisting on a cc number before a free trial). Anyway was a few hours late cancelling my subscription & they refuse to credit my card back. If the site was any good, i would keep it but the cards can't be posted to Facebook & can't be personalized by adding pictures to the cards. It's just an inferior website... I even offered to pay for 1 month since technically I was a few hours late cancelling. This happened to me once before & the company graciously cancelled the membership for me, which is the right thing to do. It's not like I was into it for a couple of weeks & I didn't send any cards after the 7 day trial. I guess they need the $28.88 or whatever it was more then me,, there should be a days grace or they should have to get your approval before they process the transaction. Legally i guess they are in the right but ethically they are wrong. I tried to stop payment on my cc but the CC company won't do that if i did not meet the terms of the agreement. It's a racket, I guess the CC company's want their business more then mine. Anyway, BEWARE. If you don't want the service, make sure you cancel it a day early or you will be charged for a year, even though they show it be $2.49/month. They charge for a full year in advance. Very sketchy..
I used to use this site all the time for ecards, but when I tried to send a card today I was completely blocked out of the site because I am using an adblocker!
I tested sending one of the cards and they said I could cancel the order but then I was charged $39 and their system did not allow me to cancel it for the entire year. This is total rip off because I sent one card which cost me $39.
