I am trying SEOProfiler and found that there are defunct domains. How often do you clean and update the database?

You probably checked the Starter backlinks tool, which is currently being updated. Until now, the Starter backlinks tool contained a static list of websites. This is going to change as the websites in the list changed very often (which is beyond our control).
The other databases in SEOprofiler (Link Profiler, AdWords Profiler, Ranking Profiler) are being updated continually and the databases are created dynamically.
